Hi I was wondering if it is possible for a mytouch slides sound from the back could stop working. I have a mytouch slide almost brand new and I rooted it and put 3rd sense rom on it and then over clocked to 785mhz. I then began to play drums on an app from the android market and then suddenly the sound stopped working. Is it even possible for stuff like this to happen out of nowhere. I was thinking it was the rom but I want to know what you guys think. Please someone help, thanks in advance.
well for sure the speakers didnt blow out becuase you would know that.... i think it is either your rom or from over clocking it, try putting the salsa slide rom on it and see if that fixes it, they both are sense roms
Would overclocking have caused the speakers to stop working

A blown out speaker cannot be caused by overclocking! An even @ that i doubt your speaker is blown! So i agree w/ the other person try the salsa rom!

OC will not bust your speakers. I am addicted to OC and that never happened to me.
Wipe and flash CyanogenMod 7 and see if the speakers work
My cousin just told me that he kept the phone on his window sill while the sun was on it. Could that have caused the speakers to stop working.

I just flashed the salsa rom and the speakers still don't work. Any other ideas and thanks for the help so far.

that is very weird this actually might be a hardware issue, maybe ur cousin dropped it and a wire or something in the phone came loose because right now thats really the only answer.
Alright then thanks guys, if someone doesn't mind answering this. How much would you estimate it would cost to fix a speaker on the mytouch slide.

I thought there were 2 noise canceling mics also. Must have been a device i looked at but didn't get

There's two. One on the bottom for voice, and one on the very top for noise cancellation. The other holes seen on the back are for reception really.

i thought i heard somewhere the two on the back helped when video recording.
There are indeed 2.

The camera drivers weren't released for my Incredible S which seems to have slowed down development. Am I likely to run into the same problem with the One X?
*bump*

Probably due to the proprietary chip.

That sucks. I'd really like to get the most out of the HOX though I only really want to for the hardware.

Has anyone else noticed their Note 2 making a slight pop sound every now and then?
I noticed it when the keyboard tap sounds are on, it sounds as if the speaker hisses then pops.

Many devices have this. Nobody has been able to figure it out, so we just chalk it up to normal - but still annoying.

Greetings.
Is there a way to add sounds to the four touch sensitive buttons? The vibrator died and feels weird without any sensation.
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda premium
A. This is the original incredible forums.
B. I don't think there is a way to add it unless you edit systemui or framework. Even then I'm not sure how.

Got fed up. Opened up the phone, cut the jumper wires and plugged in a new vibrator. All is good now.
