Updating to Stock JB

I want to know if is it possible to update my device which doesn't have JB update yet, with CID HTC__J15, to JellyBean without rooting my device or unlocking my bootloader using RUUs?
Is it possible for example to update my hboot and then download the leaked JB Europe RUU and install it on my HOX?

If your hboot isn't supported yet, you have to wait for the official update.

No your cid is not in the list of supported cids of that ruu. You can not install it !
In the 2.17 ruu your cid actually was supported in the RUU, but in the JB ruu your cid is not listed so you will end up with an error !

How to update FW after flashing Viper 1.8.0 (S-On) ???

I'm a little bit lost because I can't be S-Off (Firewater doesn't work for me "WHelp") and I don't find any RUU for my CID.
I'm S-On with a HTC__247 CID (1.54.401.5).
I would like to update my FW and Radio, but what is the possibility with my Setup?
Must I flash a Stock Recovery to have an OTA?
But for the rest? I don't made any backup of my stock Rom before flashing Viper...
What is the solution?

1. You can S-OFF with Sunshine
2. Flash the 1.540401.10 FW package in RUU mode

so my question is :
"do you have find a solution?"
I'm s-on and want to upgrade....

Yes, I used Sunshine (~20€) and I don't regret it.

Question about 4.4.4 OTA and root

Gentleman (and why not, ladies):
Installed yesterday a stock GPE 4.4.3 version on my M8. I'm S-ON, stock recovery and rooted.
Just received the info for the 4.4.4 OTA update. My CID is also already set to GOOGL001.
Is it risky to just let it do it's thing? I know that I'll lose root, but is there a problem besides that? Will the process complete sucessfully?

Anyone?

Why don't you just flash the pre-rooted 4.4.4 GPE ruu?

You think s-off is needed for OTA? Why would you think that?
As long as your are stock ROM and stock recovery, the OTA install will be fine.

wOUld this be the case if my cid was telst001
stuck on 3.18 firmware cant get s-off and unsure if i can change cid without it

You can't change CID without it. Have you tried Sunshine S-Off? Firewater doesn't work anymore.

Tried sunshine but need to go to a more stock rom i guess, on sinless gpe at the moment its 4.4.4 and working fine?
Not as good a battery life as i had before on viper but new viper will install but no wifi

You need the latest firmware with the new 4.4.4 roms. Read the viper site very carefully and it explains why

I have version of firmwork 4.17.1540.9
I have UNLOCKED phone and my cid is BS_001
Can you please tell me if I have the least version of firmwork or I need to update?
If I need so what is the number of my least firmwork.

you havent latest firmware, the latest is 5.xx.xx
you need s-off

The latest is 6.12.1540.4
If you want to update, you can use 4.17.1540.9 RUU to get back to stock ROM then do OTA to Marshmallow 6.12.1540.4
Or you can use a TWRP 4.17.1540.9 nandroid backup and its stock recovery then do OTA to Marshmallow 6.12.1540.4 - you can read my thread on how to do that - http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/tutorial-how-to-stock-stock-twrp-t3086860

You only need s-off to flash an unsigned firmware, or firmware for another CID.

Possible flash ruu in s-on?

Good day,
I would like to ask if there's any possible to flash the latest RUU firmware for my htc one m9 s-on unlock bootloader?
Recently i received the ota update for 3.35.401.32 and when i finish download it and to restart my mobile for install, when the installation continue there always say installation aborted.
Maybe the cause of this is my bootloader is unlock or im s-on or i don't no.
Can anyone teach me how to update my software in anyway?

As long as you don't downgrade, it should be fine.

but i can flash the firmware even i have s-on and unlock bootloader?
