i'm looking for an ext2.ko and a unionfs.ko file that is specifically for Android 2.2/2.3
i'm trying to set up Debian on my G2 using the following tutorial:
http://www.saurik.com/id/10
However, they require two files that are for extremely dated firmwares for the Grandfather of all Android devices.
Is anyone is kind enough to give me these files (optimized for G2/DZ) here on the legendary xda-developers forums?
All help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi! I'm new around here.
Anyway, I've been wondering something and figured that if anyone knows it'll be the gurus at xda-developers.
Is a way to make use of the HTC Hero's multitouch/pinch-zoom functionality in your own applications (whether using Android SDK or NDK), and if so, how?
Preferably without the end user having to root his phone.
Regards,
Andreas
Hello XDA forum, I recently got an Xperia Play and wanted to use Yifan Lu's PSXperia, i have already used the tool several times and had no problems extracting apks and zpaks. After installing said components, when it comes time tostart the game, the health notice appears ad then the screen remains black but does not crash.
In the README for the tool, it has compiling instructions with indicated files. It mentions a "lib" directory and "resources" directory. Can anyone who has successfully used the exploit on an R800x (2.3.3) give clarification on this? I may have overlooked the compiling (is it necessary?) and wanted to obtain info regarding this before I start looking at the logs produced.
If possible, would anyone be able to provide a slight procedure on how to do the compiling and where?
Thanks in advance.
you have to change your data pack
use PSxperia 2
Hey Mehdi, just thanked you man, THANKS.
I knew about the 2nd beta but was unsure of using it, but after going ahead and fiddling with that one I am now HAPPILY enjoying Tekken 3 on my Xperia play!
Hello
I have a android phone which seems not to be very famous, therefore it is basically impossible information about how to root it (it is a prestigio pap7600duo).
I wonder if anyone knows any guide about rooting
I am not referring to a tool like oneclick, but to something that explains how the process works, with the problem that can arise, why a device cannot be root at the moment, so that i can try to find to root it.
Does it depend on the processor? on the hardware? on the custom software installed?
I work with linux and i'm a java programmer if this can help, and have a a background in C/C++ development
thanks in advance
Rob
Hey guys. I've successfully installed various Linux distros via the chroot method as explained in the following thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/zf2-linux-howto-t3158034.
I haven't seen very much information as to whether or not someone has found a way to take full advantage of the GPU within the chroot. It seems the current state is 3D software rendering with SSE4.1.
Has anybody been able to successfully implement this? If so, what were your methods?
Thanks in advance!
Any info found?
Helo. I'm interested as well. Any luck?
Hello,
I'm actuallty working on Ford's SYNC3 system which is based on QNX 6.50. I have full access to it and would like to modify the navigation system. Actually, the system uses either Telenav (for EU and NA maps) or NNG (for rest of the world). None of those two systems is really satisfying as they are closed source and don't allow much modifications.
Therefore, I would like to build (compile) or port another system; preferably open source.
First I thought of osmand which is open source but I was told that QNX doesn't have everything needed to port it. Now I wonder if Navit : www navit-project org could be compiled for QNX.
So I would appreciate if anybody could help me / give me some info on it.
Regarding closed source apps, I saw that some car brands using QNX run Tomtom. But I can't find anything regarding an SDK for this.
Thanks in advance for all your help / hints.
Maybe it is not appropriate to ask here.. But it seems you have already give up your another thread.
I'm also on to that SYNC3 system, but I only got a update image that I dont know how to extract. Can you tell me how you extract that image?
It seems like QNX6 filesystem but I failed to mount it. I downloaded the files you posted in your another thread, and carved binaries from my own image, the files seems to fit.
Sorry I can't help you about your problem, and sorry for the interrupt, but I really need some help and find nowhere to ask. Thanks.

Hi stang18, I wish I had knowledge on the topic and could help you, but I can't.
I'm very interested if you could elaborate on how you gained full access to the SYNC 3 system.
I would much appreciate it and I believe the people from this thread would also be interested:

Thank you so much and I hope someone will be able to help you too.
Well I just noticed that the thread I added above was yours to begin with and seems you've managed to get all the access you wanted.
I'd be very happy if you could share the procedure of how you managed do it.
Thanks!
