[Q] Wifi not turning on. SGH i747m [Bell Canada]

Hello,
My wifi was working fine until I was on Stock rom. Today I formatted my phone and installed SlimKat rom. MY wifi greyed out and its stuck on saying "wifi turning on". Then I cleared the cache and installed Task650's rom and It's still not working and still stuck on "wifi turning on".

What kernel are you using?
Also, are you doing a clean flash?

Thanks for replying. I'm clearing the cache and formatting the phone through twrp recovery before installing any rom. I even tried clearing the cache after installing the rom.
I'm also uploading the screenshot of the rom and Problem I'm facing.

KT's kernel has outdated wifi modules and won't work with the newer ROMs. Do a clean flash of Task's ROM and you should be good to go. He uses CM's kernel in his package. Can always flash BMS if you prefer the extra options.

I tried everything. Nothing seems to be working. I'm downloading [ROM] TMS3KK 2.3.1 NE4 | TW4.4.2 | (582 mb) [8-19-14] right now. Will let you know whether it works with stock based rom or not.

(tip) Fix Stuck On Bootlogo, proximity Sensor Not Working On Custom Roms

Hi Guys first sorry for my not so good English.
I was on Mokee rom for few days then i tried changing to Carbon rom.I wiped data of mokee and flashed carbon. Everythng was working except proximity sensor. After the first boot we try reboot or switch on it will get stuck on mi logo.I thought it is problem of carbon rom,so i wiped data and flashed mokee again.First boot was fine and again stuck on mi logo. Then i flashed stock miui and flashed mokee after wiping data. Everything was working fine,no bugs ,no stuck at mi logo. Then i flashed stock firmware and flashed carbon to check the proximity. And it was working fine.So guys before changing rom flash miui stock and flash the new rom over it.Hope it helps any.

The best method which worked for me is that after flashing the Rom again reboot the phone.
it will stuck on mi logo don't get panic leave it as it is for 30 minutes at least which i did it will fix reboot error permanently. at least that worked in my case cheers:fingers-crossed:

cant enable wifi on stock or cm roms

Hi, I have a Samsung galaxy note 4 sprint. I currently was on stock 6.0.1 then i flashed cyanogen mod 12.1. at this point i was happy and what not, but i tried turning on wifi and it stuck on "turning wifi on" I tried factory restoring, wiping both cache/dalvich cache, reflashing, updating (only cmremix through settings on mobile data). i also tried flashing cmremix 13 and stock 5.1.1 deodexed rooted and i tried wiping cache factory restore... Anyone know a workaround or a fix for the wifi?
also on cm, when i uninstall an app the phone soft reboots, and if i try to add a lockscreen security it says settings has stopped. i tried going to /data/misc and deleting wifi folder and I tried going to /data/data and deleting the settings folder.
i am using TWRP, i tried with latest and ver 2.8.1.1
any help is appreciated

I was having issues with the stock 6.0.1 baseband(s) myself, try flashing the modem.bin and NON-HLOS.bin from OG5 stock rom.
