When doing a batch restore Titanium backup reboots my phone. I've tried the problems button and installed a different version of busybox. It has happened across multiple roms. It only happens when trying to restore certain apps. I've tried just restoring apps without data and I only restore user apps no system apps. Any ideas?
Which apps cause the reboot?
Have you tried downloading those apps from the market and restoring data?
One example is the Jumpgate free live wallpaper. I can download it from the market and install it. Does it hurt my phone at all when Titanium causes it to reboot?
It shouldn't reboot, doubt any permanent damage but it would make me concerned
Instead of doing a batch have you tried to install just that app by itself... also the data might be corrupted... the restarts shouldn't affect the phone as long as you have everything saved.

I have tried the app by itself and it works. I've ran the verify backups and it says all is good so I'm assuming the data is good. I've tried a different SD card. As long as the reboot doesn't hurt the phone at all I can put up with it although it is an annoyance.

I am guilty of a the crime of trying something without researching it for a change.
Yesterday, I moved all of my "user apps" to the sd card using the batch method in the application Titanium Backup. Everything worked fine until I rebooted, upon which all of my applications no longer appeared in my market under "downloads" or my app drawer. It also wouldn't let me reinstall them. Titanium backup won't install, so there I can't use the app to fix it.
Any suggestions?
Have you tried pushing the Titanium Backup apk to /system/app? If your apps on /data are screwed, you might be able to get to TB that way. (You can get the apk here if you need it.)

I got it to reinstall, but it isn't restoring the backups correctly.

It only has seven apps there.
I think the problem may be that the apps are caught in a bad partition limbo.
Titanium backup's developer told me that once you get over 123 (weird) apps on your sd card and reboot this happens pretty uniformly.
I'm trying to do a backup of all my apps and user data via Titanium Backup, and it's been stuck on "10% - Bluetooth Pairings" for the last hour, when the last several backups tool less than 15 minutes total. FWIW, I accidentally touched the screen while it was backing up, and it kicked me back to my home screen. Re-running the batch gets me a message saying that it's still in the process of backing stuff up. Everything else seems to work fine, I can go into other apps, but even if I park it in the TB app itself it just seems to be sitting there. I don't have (or like) task killers, but I'm unsure as to what I should do. Would a reboot hurt anything?
I've had this happen to me when I've tried restoring from titanium (I'd click cancel to not reinstall an app and it get sticks there). I have to reboot to get it going again. I'd say give it a reboot and run it again, shouldn't hurt anything.
Reboot your phone, batch delete all backups, and try again.
If it locks up after this, it generally means that your market db is corrupt, see this:

Happened to me this past weekend.

That did it. Thanks!
Yesterday I found that certain apps on my phone crash right after I launched them, including Kindle, Apparatus and some other apps.
I uninstalled them to see if re-installing could solve this, however it turned into the situation that I cannot install these apps any more no matter how
I tried re-installing them by Android Market, it just say the package file is not valid.
I tried launching the APK from file manager, it ends up with "app is not installed".
I tried using Titanium Backup to restore my previous backups, Titanium Backup just gets stuck with these apps.
I tried copying the APK file into /data/app, but after a reboot those APKs in /data/app simply disappear.
I tried using adb install command as well, the result is "INSTALL_FAILED_DEXOPT“
I have wiped my phone for many times, I even tried reflash Rom and Baseband. For once it worked after a Rom flashing, but after a reboot it bacome faulty again

Alright don't try it then lol
I've used Titanium to do my back-ups on my old Galaxy Vibrant, so I have a general understanding of how it works. My question is this though, when I did back-ups in the past, they were saved to the SD card (I think), but the GNEX doesn't have an SD card. So if I do a back-up, won't the back-up I just made get erased when I wipe data before flashing a new ROM? Also, what about my pictures, will they get erased? I have hundreds of pictures on my phone, maybe even over 1000 TBH. I don't want to have to reload everything again. And last, does Titanium back-up your progress in games? I seem to remember that it does, but I don't remember for sure.
Any guides out there for doing Titanium back-ups on the Gnex? Why didn't those silly people just give us an sd card slot
ok even though it does not have a physically removable sd card it still does not get wiped when flashing roms and wiping the data cache partition. only if you do a factory data reset from the phone's settings. I've never needed to do that so dont worry i have 1000's of pics too. I'd back em up just in case on your laptop for safe measure though anyways. also when you backup th apps it does not save game progress unless you backup the app's data. then it should save preferences and progress and all that good stuff. Thank me if it helps!!
Ok, another thing I just thought of. After I flash the new ROM and enter my email, the phone is going to start automatically downloading all my apps, obviously I don't want to do that since I'm going to restore them with Titanium. How do I turn off the auto-downloading of apps?

No it won't. It only restores your apps if you decide to not turn off the "restore my apps and settings" option. It's on by default, simply turn it off after you've entered your Gmail account. It's the next or the second screen after you logged into your Gmail account.
Ok, now my phone doesn't want to mount when I connect it to my computer. It charges, it just won't mount. ftw....

Not sure about the mount issue but I will tell you to definitely leave the auto restore on and let the market automatically download your apps after a wipe. You want to do this because it will automatically install the apps where as titanium will take forever and you have to manually tap install. Then once the apps are installed go to titanium and just backup so data only which is you game progress and preferences and such. I found this out the hard way lol

In my experience, the restore and wipe cache (maybe wipe data too) only clean the system/ or /cache, and leave the sdcard/ untouched. So the data backup by Titanium back-ups should work rightly.
BTW, I have some problem about using Titanium back-ups. If I always want to keep the newest backup of both application and system data, are the any useful script?
Although there's a script could backup the new application that installed after last backup, but what about the new system app/data? Because sometimes I may have change ROM and it will add some new system app/data.
So far, I use the script that backup all the system/application data. But I wonder it may leave duplicate backup to some app, that's the condition I want to avoid.
Any idea?
I tried to backup my apps using app2zip 2x now
on 2 different occasions
apps that are installed on internal sd do not restore with their saved data
is anyone else having this problem?
can anyone explain why this happens?
I'm having an issue with the apps not responding, they are all installed but do not work
it was a good app but has failed me sometimes ... i use ROM toolbox pro never had an issue with them and they do a batch restore /also batch back-up need to have usb-debugging on and your good to go unfortunately i cant trouble shoot your problem, you could also try titanium back up they make ZIP for back ups as well if you prefer that method good luck
