I know most people wante to go the other way aroud, and that is: get the DESIRE HD sense interface on HD2, but i would like to search for an HD2 Sense like interface for DESIRE HD. I use to love the Scroll bar on the bottom, i knew where i was going, and with DESIRE HD sense i feeel like i'm lost around the screens.
So, can anyone help me with that?
I currently switch between Sense 3.0 ROMS and MIUI ROMS, witch one is released more recently, and neither Home UI are good for me because they don't have third party scrolable widgets support. Sense 3.0 hase the awsome lockscreen and stocks widget, and MIUI has the greatest music player(lyrics and VU meter inside) and a GO Launcher like UI (the best untill now) and a great status curtain system.
The stock HD2 interface is HTC Sense\TouchFLO 3D for Windows Mobile.
As far as i know there is no way to get it on a DHD. I might be wrong though

Thanks, that's why i specified an UI like HD2 sense. Another home replacement not necesarely touc flow 3D,i'm interested in the sliding bottom, or homescreens represented by icons instead of just lines. Sweeter Home App is a verry versatile home replacement, that could have that, but a special skin must be created.
Spb shell 3D . You can manage all the "panels" on the 3D UI and there is a verry good slide botton.
BTW sry but it's not free but it is cool

Tried it, verry expensive and not verry usefull, it's just cool looking. SPB shell 3.5 for win mobile was allot more usefull.
Well sry That was my idea for something with a sliding bottom. Btw my Htc p3300 (Artemis) is still with spb 3.5 love it, it's the best

No don't get me wrong, I like the plugin, but it takes up too much space...
I need my appointments, I like more advanced mail notifications, so I use SPB diary...
I have PocketCM for my contacts, so I don't need the contacts tab.... and so on...
What I DO like is the big clock! Is it posisble to have the big clock from the HTC home without the notification icons and tabs below it?

Can use SPB Shell - as an option...
Also a free utility - TDClock- http://www.nakka.com/soft/ptools/index_eng.html the problem with this is - it does'nt have a transparent background and the font of the clock is dependent on the Bitmap image provided in the source code..
If someone can make some Bitmap images which are transparent - then this can solve many users problem...! even mine !
I hate the clock and area being used up also...would love to go back to SPB Diary..
Time clock
Hi I am using this one. Samsung time. Its a great clock and you can get rid of your homeplug for bigger screen real estate. Check it out. You'll like it.

RLTODAY is a great today screen app that you can configure (if you know how) or use raw, the site has a forum where u can see what other people have done, some really cool application launchers and clocks/calendars....
However I love the HTC plugin and I love RLTODAY but it's pointless running both!!!! Oh what a world!

this animation was removed in "second series" of htc firmware, they ware removed in update that gave us the performance boost and made hero more responsive, etc. In my case i don't miss it, but in my eyes its a "scam" from htc side, because all htc videos about hero, contains this animation, and phone doesn't

yah thanks for reply ^^? i was think my Hero problem with flip clock little sad for it(>"<)
everyday waiting fw 2.0 for hero ^~^?
who can help me,i have bugs with weather widget big icon in home screens
the weather widget problem is probably just your ROM related, i would suggest doing a factory wipe via amon ra's recovery and then flashing a new rom (preferably modaco's 2.9 at the time of writing or rooter HTC Generic 2.73.405.38, thats what i use atm)
I am Running DeFrost,
And Yes its amazing!!
But a question that i cannot find a straight answer too,
Is there lack of Widgets for FroYo or is it the Firmware?
Or
Is it as simple as an App that needs downloading and installing and you gets your Widgets?
I miss just a couple of Widgets, One is my Emails
I had my Live and Gmail on 2 Different Pages on the Home Screen,
And Some Toggles, (Oh and the odd Clock)
Now i know i can do the Toggles easy with switch pro widget and extended controls widget
But what about my Email Widget :-(
There is no Sense UI in FroYo rom's so no htc widgets, you can try DJDROID rom which has Sense UI on Froyo

There are Widgets that you can get that have the options or you need to flash a custom rom like revolution hd and flash a theme like mine ;-)
Or you can put mine in. I'm have 5 apps on one line as will as your own customizable right hand key and notification widgets
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Could someone just build a mod to get the powerbar widget in de notificationsbar?
Cause I want that and not a hole theme...
This - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=947680 - should answer all your questions. It even includes 1% battery and is also available incl auto brightness tweak for saving battery (if you like).
Ah! That's what i'm looking for! Tnx so much!
I would highly recommend Widgetsoid from the Android Market. Even the free version is incredibly customisable. There are a ton of great power/control/toggle widgets included. It's the best set of power widgets I've used by far. I've now removed the HTC ones and the Curvefish ones as Widgetsoid looks nicer and has so much more to offer.
Hi guys,
The update to Sense 5 brought us several improvements and there is a common understanding here in XDA that this is a huge step forward for our HOX.
Besides the main changes that are clear and visible from the beginning (e.g., camera highlights, blinkfeed, etc.), there are several other minor features and additions that are not advertised and might pass unobserved.
What about helping each other to discover them?
I start with:
Limit of 6 tabs in the stock browser has been removed.
Mail app can zoom in and out correctly.
The Car app saw lot of changes and finally makes it possible to add more applications to the Car panel .
Calendar widget (month) finally shows also a bar indicating the time of day for an appointment.
Swiping left on the keyboard changes languages. Swiping right toggles between numbers and letters.
Looking forward to learning what you can add.
P.S. Please, no questions about CID, availability, how-to flash, etc. etc. This thread is only targeted at those who already installed the new update.

me to after your post :good:
What about all things they´ve removed?
-Several widgets lost and other f*cked up (agenda with photo thumbnail when birthdays)
-No more built-in skins
-Weather lockscreen (and others)
-Same with cube animations in sense apps
-3d effect in homescreen
-Helicopter view
-Weather animations and sounds of clock widget..
Sure there are more, but I went back to 4+ (viper) as soon as I saw all those lacks.

Honestly, several things you listed were IMHO cosmetic superfluous frills sucking up battery and processing power. I like the more minimalistic approach of Sense 5. But it's a question of taste. Also, the cube animation with its horrible mega-buttons at the bottom is replaced by the much more smooth and elegant JB-style tabs. I think this is an improvement.
menu hardware button tasks are absent in this update ..so there is no full screen for some applications

Not sure if I understand correctly, but if you want to get rid of that menu software button you can go to
"Settings"-->"Display, gestures and buttons"-->"Recent apps button"
and change to the second or third option.
Can someone advise on the speed, battery, and RAM usage after the upgrade?

Obviously Sense 5's superior RAM requirements and UI smoothness HAD to come at the cost of eye-candy. It's as simple as that.
For YEARS HTC listened to people constantly complaining about Sense being a bloated, laggy interface.
Having finally given the people what they want...a pared-down, light-on-the-RAM, snappy, clean interface...now those people are going to complain about the things they took out to achieve this?
Personally, and only personally, I prefer Sense 4+. Sense 5 is a little TOO minimalistic...but it IS growing on me.
But what I am NOT going to do is complain about the COST of achieving what Sense always should have been.
Simple, clean, fast.
Because Sense 5 definitely is that.

Try it and see for yourself. It's ALL subjective to the specific user.

In my opinion sense 5 is a huge step forward over sense 4+. I found the icons and animations always a bit gimmicky, and like the smoothness of sense 5. And it still adds upon CM with a better keyboard, better widgets, blinkfeed, better camera, better lockscreen styles among other things (first party apps made by HTC have a common style, and are more intuitive than stock android).
