Trying to find a particular keyboard

Hey all, I've recently rooted my phone and been playing around with different roms. I was on LeeDroid 2.2F, but didnt like it so now I'm on Cyanogen 6.0.2 on my HTC Desire.
The only thing thats bugging me is the crappy keyboard on Cyanogen, on LeeDroid it had a couple of keyboards, the HTC one, and this other one, no idea what it was called but I really like it, the only way I can distinguish it to you guys is that on the bottom left it had a key to change from english characters to japanese/chinese(?) characters.
Anyone know which one I'm on about and if it's possible for me to get it on Cyanogen?
Also if I flashed the HTC IME Mod addon from the LeeDroid website onto my Cyanogen rom, would that actually work?
Thanks
There is the HTC one, the standard android one and Diopen. I think you want diopen.
If you unzip a leedroid rom you can find it in leedroid###/system/app under the name HTC_Desire_DioPen.apk, i don't know if you can just install it but have a try.
Yeah Diopen is the one I want, I'm pretty sure.
I extracted the .apk and tried installing it and it just said "Application not installed"
Anyway around this?

thanks for that is there one in particular you would recomend over the others ?
Asking me to recommend you one ROM over other is like asking me to recommend you my favourite color.
It depends on your preferences, but I "guess" a more suitable rom for you would be AuraxT or RCMix.
You should know, that although recently snq- (a developer here) managed to get the camera working on the HD ROM ports to the desire, there still isn't a release that has implemented his fix.
So right now you won't be able to take photos.

[Q] thai fonts (included in rom)

I'm running froyo 2.2.1 (leaf r3) and want to know if there's any new stable ROMS that have Thai fonts already included.
There seems to be a whole load of misinformation about how to install Thai fonts and whether they are already installed in certain ROMS. I've seen many people saying fine now they've upgraded to froyo and all working with Thai fonts displaying correctly -- well that isn't my experience running 2.2, just the same as 2.1 with little sqaures.
So I tried the manual install from a thread on here by installing fresh / font changer and busybox, that doesn't work either fresh is complaining that it doesn't have write access -- my phone is fully rooted so don't know why it saying this.
I've been wanting Thai fonts for months and that was the only reason I rooted my handset and upgraded to 2.2 all to no avail. Can someone put me out of my misery and tell me a solution that works or a ROM that definitely has the fonts included ?
thanks in advance
Moved to General, question should not be post it DEV, thanks in advance.
Why ? I would have thought the DEV's of the ROMS would know for sure what was and was not included in the ROMS.

[Q] Android Market App in MIUI-AU and MIUI-XJ

Hi folks,
I am currently running MIUI-XJ D2EXT X-PART 1.9.23 ROM but having problems finding a couple of apps in the Android Market app on the phone. I could find them on market.android.com, and on Android Market apps in other ROMs, including MIUI-AU ROM. Two of such apps are: TradeDroid Pro, and Quick Quake Viewer. I live in Christchurch, New Zealand, a city still rocked regularly by aftershocks, hence the latter app I was told:
Miui au uses different market than the default installed here. Josh updates that or manage changes, even market default settings. You can grab those and use in this rom.

I am not knowledgable enough to know what exactly is different, what I should grab, and how to install them. Perhaps if someone can give me a hint and point me in the right direction I can look into it further. Pointing me to where the stuff is would be even more helpful
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Dany.
As a part of my free services, I offer you a report of wrongly created thread.
No need to thank me.
Should I be posting this question on the Desire Apps and Themes forum?
"Desire Android Development"...
The clues in the title. Try the Q&A thread.

What do you think, which is the best one to ask questions?
Don't ask him such difficult questions, his brain might explode in the process of resolving it.

Yeah... you definitely don't want that, especially since I won't be around to clean up afterwards...

If the Dev had changed the market app then it might be wise to install a vanilla market, ie the link in my description. Although if it had been changed then it could mean that the changed market only works on that ROM. Alternatively you could get an app called market enabler to help you out a bit. Can't you install apps from the website? Would be advisable to backup the current market app that you have.
And yes, wrong section. Please move mods, ooh wait, it will take a week fire that to happen.

Well, it seems I have posted in the wrong forum twice! Unbelievable...
I already tried Market Enabler but that didn't help. My problem is not installing apps from the market, but finding them there in the first place. The two examples I mentioned in my original post cannot be located under the MIUI-XJ ROM, but I can find them everywhere else, i.e. under MIUI-AU, other Sense ROMs, and the android.market.com. I haven't tried AOSP ROMs so far, or CM one.
I have been told that MIUI-AU ROM uses a different Market from MIUI-XJ. I am trying to ascertain what bits are exactly different, and where I can get the one used by MIUI-AU or other Sense ROMs.
I will try the one in your sig and see how that goes. Thanks for the suggestion.

Ok, I have copied the Market_3.1.5.apk file from your sig link to my sdcard, and installed it from there. Unfortunately it didn't help though - I still couldn't find the apps I mentioned earlier.
Am I correct in assuming the Market app is called Vending.apk in the /system/app folder? If so, can I just grab the one from MIUI-AU and copy it over the one I have in MIUI-XJ?
Cheers,
D.

[Q] Some questions in chinese support

Recently I flashed Virtuous Quattro RC3 which is an awesome ICS ROM, but there are two little problem with Chinese...
I may like to have the Chinese input in official ROM 'cause there are lots of unconvinced with market keyboard... But I had search for this and found out nth. Is there any way I can do to get some similar things?
By the other hand, there is a glitch in Chinese display, after a few description expands in market (Chinese desc.), all words corrupted as unexpected (including English like the attached img), but its all fine in other ROM, had tried Absolution (The Collective). Is there anyway to solve it?
Thanks for your time and I know I am a noob
