Hey all, I've recently rooted my phone and been playing around with different roms. I was on LeeDroid 2.2F, but didnt like it so now I'm on Cyanogen 6.0.2 on my HTC Desire.
The only thing thats bugging me is the crappy keyboard on Cyanogen, on LeeDroid it had a couple of keyboards, the HTC one, and this other one, no idea what it was called but I really like it, the only way I can distinguish it to you guys is that on the bottom left it had a key to change from english characters to japanese/chinese(?) characters.
Anyone know which one I'm on about and if it's possible for me to get it on Cyanogen?
Also if I flashed the HTC IME Mod addon from the LeeDroid website onto my Cyanogen rom, would that actually work?

There is the HTC one, the standard android one and Diopen. I think you want diopen.
If you unzip a leedroid rom you can find it in leedroid###/system/app under the name HTC_Desire_DioPen.apk, i don't know if you can just install it but have a try.
Yeah Diopen is the one I want, I'm pretty sure.
I extracted the .apk and tried installing it and it just said "Application not installed"
Anyway around this?

so ive been researching and searching for a good week now on custom/cooked rom's and such. and ive finnaly decided to take the leap of trying them.
My phone is an AT&T HTC Tilt 2. And all i want to do is put Co0kie's Home Tab on it. Thats it.
So after hours of researching i finnaly discoverd how to flash my phone.
i used this method ( forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550131 )
and now my phone is flashed (or whatever exactly thats suppost to do) and ive checked over this with the tri-color method.
and so i figured now i could just load CHT on my phone and istall it and ide be done, nope thats apparently not how it works.
apparently i need something called Manila Sence 2.5 . So ive searched and searched all over the internet and cant seem to find it, or if i did maby find it, it contains no reall directions on how to install it.
so im really hoping somebody could just show me in the rite direction. ide really appreciate it.
Please if possible provide links. ESPECIALLY to the sence 2.5 program.
ALSO, does anyone know if Sence 2.5 supports landscape? cus ive read a few things saying only 2.1 supports landscape? please if you know anything let me know because im always using my keyboard for texting and such.

Sense 2.5 (aka Manila 2.5) is available in almost every ROM in the ROM Development section. It's basically like TouchFlo3D or Sense 2.1, but it has the quicklinks at the bottom of the Home Tab.
You must flash a ROM that contains Sense 2.5 (you can't just manually install it via cabs).
The recent builds of Sense 2.5 are landscape-supported, albeit not perfect. For example, the Documents Tab isn't perfectly aligned, but the essential Tabs (tabs that are in TF3D and Sense 2.1) are supported in landscape.

Is there some kind of description available to explain all the HTC apk's that comes with the rom? So many apps i never gonna use, and not easy to understand on the filenames.

Today i found a style on a picture (see in attachments)
and i want to set my Desire with the same "style" ( is it "called" style?!)
so i startet to try out,how to get it. but i don't know how to do...so iam a fully noob.
Maybe anyone can tell me how to do this?!

Find the source and see, what widgets/launcher/icons the owner used.

Well everything is on the picture, what you need to download.
Launcher is probably ADW or GO Launcher EX. Rom - CM7 IMO.

after i the new market installed automatically now its not working and show force close , when i uninstall the updates it work .\

You can leave the market updates and carry on with an earlier version of the market.
It has the same content, it's just in a different layout. Plus many people prefer the old layout, so you won't be alone.
Or
You can search the thread of the ROM you're using and see if anyone has a fix for this same problem. If you can't find anything, ask in the thread.
You're probably to get better help there, since it's very likely someone else has encountered this same problem with the ROM and replies are a whole lot quicker on there.

i uninstall the updates a few minutes will automatically instal the updates.

Im not sure if something funny is going on (Maintenance maybe) as i flashed my phone a week ago and the new market installed fine flashed yesterday and still no auto update to the new style market maybe they pulled the update for the time being? can any one confirm?
If you want, you both could try finding the .apk for the new style market (it'll be on these forums somewhere) and install that over your current one.
I'm not really an expert in this, I'm just advising you based on what I would do.

Well all I can suggest is that you ask in the thread of the ROM you're using.
Thank u , but when i applied revolution Hd Rom the problem solved , i think the problem is in superuser.apk ,
It might not be related but there is a little bug in some of the MIUI roms where the Market crashes which is easily fixed by going to Settings - Language & Input and choosing English (even if the phone is already showing English). It then changes from EN to English (United States) and the problem is solved. It is covered in the FAQ of those roms. You might try something similar for your situation and rom in the future.
Recently I flashed Virtuous Quattro RC3 which is an awesome ICS ROM, but there are two little problem with Chinese...
I may like to have the Chinese input in official ROM 'cause there are lots of unconvinced with market keyboard... But I had search for this and found out nth. Is there any way I can do to get some similar things?
By the other hand, there is a glitch in Chinese display, after a few description expands in market (Chinese desc.), all words corrupted as unexpected (including English like the attached img), but its all fine in other ROM, had tried Absolution (The Collective). Is there anyway to solve it?
