I went to check for the OTA software update for my Inspire 4G, but the screen says I can't check now and have to wait 12 hours.
Is there any way to reset this, maybe by clearing data out of one of the system apps?
Thanks

Verison LTE Gnex.
Rooted with CWM installed. I can successfully flash any 4.0.2 or 4.0.3 ROM and everything works fine. Typical wipe dalvik, cache partitions, data, and /system. But after a few minutes, if I touch any of "my apps" in Market I get a force close of Market. I've tried going to settings/apps/all and wiping Market cache and data. Still a no go. Market is FC on 4.0.2 OTA also, now. I tried fixing permissions inside CWM and that did not help.
If I uninstall Market updates in settings/apps/all ("back to factory version"??), then Market will work for a few minutes, then revert to the same behavior.
I am attaching a logcat of the Market force close. If anyone can decipher this and provide some recommendations, I would appreciate it very much.
Edit: FWIW, I first noticed this problem when I was running Google's 2-step verification process. This got to be a PITA each time I flashed a new ROM (there's so much new candy in the store!). So, I turned 2-step off. Didn't seem to make a difference with this problem, though.

So last night I flashed dottat's RUU (http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...nt/ruu-vzw-kitkat4-4-3-sense-6-s-off-t2867643) to update my phone to 4.4.3 stock. Usually when I run the stock rom, I try to get rid of all the verizon bloat garbage using root app delete and root browser. Maybe this time I got a little overzealous, because I most recently deleted two system apps: verizon location app, and the verizon cloud sync app. Before I did this, everything seemed to run fine. But after getting rid of those two, everything went haywire. Every few seconds my phone app would crash and it would give me the message that "unfortunately, com.android.phone has crashed"and the display kept flickering on and off. Also, I keep getting a poppup for an app called Phone: HBPCG Current Country" telling me I have not input my country, and asks me to select one from a blank list. After trying a few things, I went into TWRP to wipe the cache and dalvik. Fortunately, that seems to have cleared up the com.phone process from crashing every 10 seconds or so. But I still keep getting asked to select a country from "HBPCG Current Country". Has anybody experienced this or does anybody know how to stop it, maybe by deleting another service? I can't remember ever seeing a "verizon location reporting" app in 4.4.2 so I figured it was more garbage that verizon added to the ROM as needless bloat, and didn't think it would affect other phone services.
Thanks for any help on this, it's really irritating me. If I can't get it resolved I figure I might have the run the RUU again.
I should probably also mention that after wiping the caches, I got the "android is upgrading" bit when I rebooted and it said it was optimizing 67 apps. I'm not sure what that was for since I didn't flash any updates or anything, but I figure maybe recaching some system info since I ripped out so much system bloatware?
Now that santod released stock 4.4.3 debloated you should just flash that ROM instead. Sounds like less of a headache to just completely wipe and go from there.

Verizon Location WAS in fact in 4.4.2, and many services of the phone depend on it and won't function without it…
System Update after factory reset
Had some lag did a factory reset on reboot it first did a system update then the reset but i
dont see any change in version. But it resolved my lag issues.
I did a factory reset.. But it did not do a system update.. The only update I have seen is for automatic security updates... Most people who have posted on XDA have not allowed that to turn on...

No this wasn't a security update this was a system update in installed literally same screen as reset screen ... it was a spinning something said system update .. system update complete then went android robot with atomic belly and did factory reset....
No version change or anything else i noticed except lag is gone either reset ot update either way it fixed my issue.
Yesterday i received notification that there is available new OTA update, and started downloading over mobiledata. It was around 13% and i have decided to download it later using wifi at home. But now when i check for software updates i receive message that there is no new updates.
Phone is completely stock CID0032, never rooted or s-off.
How i can" force" it to receive it again OTA update to LP? Phone is running latest KK update.
I have tried hard reset, safe mode but nothing helps.
Try settings - apps - all - updater - clear data & cache
I have already tried that, it does not help.
If you already tried hard reset then it doesn't work too then maybe the OTA is on hold or something. I have no idea. Usually settings - backup & reset - reset phone is good enough (but you will lose all internal storage data)
Is there any way to work around this problem? Even with flashing the April update, Webview and Chrome won't update?
How is it not updating? I know for me I've had it say "Pending" for like 10 minutes, and then it automatically changed to "Updated". If you've waited 15 minutes, and it still hasn't updated, I would suggest force closing them, clearing cache and data, and then try updating.

Thanks for responding. I did try your suggestions but I still cannot update. Any other suggestions?
The only other thing I can think of is to uninstall all updates. Since it is a system update when you click uninstall you should be prompted with something like "Do you want to uninstall all updates, and revert to default version?". Then hopefully you can update right to the current version.
