Hi ive been using the new SyndicateROM Frozen for about a month now with few problems but now i have a major one...and its that my phone will not send text messages. Ive went into clockmod and cleared cach 3 times, factory reset 3 times along with the dalvec cache 3 times...and installed the fully loaded versoin instead of the regular one...and im still having the same problem...
Has anyone else experienced this issue? if so, how can I fix it???
Try odin to stock and see if it still won't send txt

Ok so the other day my pictures just stopped downloading all of a sudden, it was sometime after installing Google voice whether that was a coincidence or not i don't know, i have since uninstalled it since i didn't like it anyways so o well. But anyways, so after reading tons of topics on the problem. The answers i came across the most where,
it is sprints fault call them
have to be on wifi
cant be on wifi
to many messages
or go back to factory reset
and umm others i probably forgot.
All of these had varying degree of success for people suggesting them. However, Non but the factory reset worked for me. So while i am already back at the beginning i decided to update my phone to htc 3.70 or whatever it is. So after getting everything updated, i learned i could use clockwork to recover just the data part of my nand, which made me happy, but i figured it might mess up MMS again... which it did. The easy solution is to go back to factory ( or my nand before the restore of data) BUT i would really like to keep all my data. There is just so much to reset if i don't x-x. So i was wondering if anyone might know what causing the pictures not to download and if there is a way to fix it without having to lose all my data.
Oh yeah it not just downloading i can't send out picture messages either.
If all else fails i will just resort back to before the data restore and go about resetting everything the hard way just not looking forward to it.
Thanks for your time
and if i missed a thread somewhere that answers this sorry i was already banging my head against the wall at all the stuff i had already looked at.
Hmm no answer, lovely, guess it is back to the chalkboard for me.

Yeah it is very frustrating.

some things ive tried that didnt work:
re-provisioning using ##3282#
full wipe and new install of fresh and cm6.1.2
deleting the telephony.db
ugh
I've been having this same problem for about a week now. It started on my Moment and continues since I got the Evo on Monday.
It's aggravating the hell out of me....
call sprint. i called sprint today, to complain, about slow speeds in the area and there was a recorded message saying they are aware of a problem with the messaging system and are working on it. that was earlier thursday 'round 9.30am est.
Just confirms what I've thought, that's it's a Sprint network issue and not a device or apk issue...
It is a sprint network problem as of lately, that is why HipKat had problems after he switched.
Btw Charlie what rom are you using and did you call sprint?
I've tried looking everywhere, but I can't find a solution, so I'm hoping someone sees this and can help.
I've recently become addicted to flashing roms, and have been trying out many of the amazing roms hosted here, including Touched by a SGSIII and Wicked Sensations. I fell in love with Wicked Sensations almost as soon as I flashed it, except for one problem.
Sometimes right away, sometimes after a reboot, and sometimes several hours later, my messaging app disappears, and I can no longer send or receive SMS.
There was also an occasional issue with it saying that "process.android.acore has stopped", but that problem seems to have stopped as well. This problem persisted on both Dazed's Sensations and Scarmon's Touched. I don't have the same issue with AOKP, or even the CM9A5 I flashed today, nor even on mijjah's Slim-n-Trim rom.
Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, how do I fix it?
I usually flash with EL29 directboot kernel, if that affects anything.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Have you tried installing any of the really nice third party SMS apps like handscent or gosms?

I did. Those wouldn't work either. I'm pretty sure it was something in my backed up data, because I did a full reflash and only restored the apps, and everything is working fine, now.
Fortunately, I didn't seem to have lost a whole lot in not restoring that backup.

It sounds like you were restoring system apps specific to other roms. I suggest doing a full wipe, and ONLY restoring the apps that can be downloaded from the market.
well i have flashed a lot of roms in my time, but ever since i used some of the JB roms my messages no longer send half the time and even when i went back to ics roms (haven't tried stock yet) that i know worked in the past i still have the issue, anyone have some ideas?

It happens to me sometimes, and I just reboot. Although you could just wipe cache or data of the messaging app, reboot, and then try.
Anyone got some work arounds for this??

My s3 is rooted, and I'm currently running the people's Rom. Since I loaded the this particular Rom, I haven't been able to get telnav to work. I tried clearing data, deleting and reinstalling from Sprint zone, I even read somewhere that getting rid of Google voice might solve the problem, so l did that and still no joy. It starts up and then the screen goes black and white down, no fc notice. Anybody have a fix for this? It worked fine on jelly bomb Rom and freegs3. I'm beginning to think it's something with the Rom.

ok.... So For the last two weeks I have been battling with this issue, mind you it started out as having absolutely no connectivity to google, I've actually worked it up to the point where it works on wifi.
Anyway, about 3 weeks ago, I flashed a new 6.0 rom (started from stock unrooted, updated etc and rerooted) and all was beautiful! phone ran faster and smoother then ever and I couldnt have been happier, for about a week, and then out of the blue, for no reason I got the dreaded "no connection try again" from the play store, and holy mother of god I CANT FIX IT!)(#@$)@!)&*@!)*$# I have factory reset about 5 times, done a full blown format wiping every piece of data from the phone twice now and started over again from nothing with a stock unrooted rom, and I still can not get this phone working 100% at least at this point I have google connectivity over wifi -.-"
If it's not quite clear, I have full internet connectivity on the phone everywhere OTHER THEN google apps. :crying: I'm seriously about to walk into sprint and upgrade to a note 7, I'm starting to feel like the phone has failed somehow because I dont know what else I can do, I have wiped and reset EVERYTHING multiple times and some-mother-F*#$%&!-how this issue finds it's way back to me EVERY TIME! ....
Posting here is my last resort, I know tons of people have this issue, But I feel like theirs are always solved by clearing the app data, and mine is so far past that I dont know where to start.
