Does anybody know what the problem is with copilot? Everytime i start it, it displays the splash screen, and that's it.. it fails to load. In the notifications it has an entry to 'Touch here to maximize copilot' but this does nothing...
It's really strange as it worked on Monday this week...??
Ok fixed it...
renamed the user.cfg file found in sdcard/copilot to user.cfg.bak, ran the software again so it had to generate a new user.cfg file and it worked.. Ok i had to enter my google checkout number and set it up again, but it did fix the problem.
I can't get mine to recognise my Google Checkout number, even after getting it reset by support

I've had a corrupted user.cfg cause startup aborts in the past as well. Took me a while to figure it out. I keep a good backup copy now, which should avoid any Google checkout and setup issues.

I was playing around with XCSdM's Bluetooth 0.9f fix and found the issue that's causing it to not work on newer (17913) builds on WM6.
When I navigate to the directory where BTVCFull or BTVCBasic is located, and try to manually launch either of those programs, I get this message:
The file 'BTVCFull' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring the file.

I checked my security on the phone, and it is set to 'Security Off'. Next, I checked the file signature. They seem to NOT be signed at all. However, here's my problem. I can't sign the files myself as I'm too cheap to spring for Visual Studio 2005, and signtool is a big pita. So, Does someone want to sign them and throw the files up here? I think that should fix the problem IMHO.
But, I have identified the core problem at least--which is a step in the right direction.
** FOR THE REAL FIX ** See post's below with the new .cab and reg edit.
if im not mistaken there is a signing program in the new rom kitchen that was released today. its in the extras folder haven't played with it so im not sure how easy or well it works but it looks easy enough. pretty damn cool new kitchen also should check it out!
dunno if they will help
No.. It doesn't.. It's gotta be the drivers.. I'm supposed to be getting some new drivers soon; so, we'll see that helps.
I just wish it'd work correctly without any hacks to fix it..
I noticed the same thing when trying to launch BTVCBasic or Full. Changing the following key worked for me:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\Path="\Program Files\Bluetooth Voice Command\BTVoiceCommand.exe"

I have hit the reboot on the back of my dell x50v and for the last couple times it says that "tbstart.exe failed to start, may need to reinstall".
I have no idea what this is and tried a search and found nothing on the internet.
Anyone have any idea what this is? I also posted another problem about my device now not recognizing my home network and says the ssid is hidden, are these two items related? I have wm5 ao2.
Any ideas?
I'd say that if everything is working the way it should on your phone, then go to the windows startup folder and remove the link to it. Don't delet it just yet, cut it and paste it somewhere that you'll remember where it is, like the My Documents folder, just in case you find out that you did need it for some program. More than likely, the reason it failed to start is because you removed the program and it forgot to delete the startup link. Don't worry that removing the link will cause your phone not to boot or something like that either because your phone is already rebooting without the program anyway.

1) do not overclock
2) do not tamper with the phone immediately after boot, leave it alone for a while (30 secs, 1 min)
3) do not fill the desktop with widgets, they eat lots of resources
If none of these works, while still NOT overclocking, delete data.img file inside andboot folder and start from scratch.
Cheers.
Pretty strange, since I have a Sprint TP2 and Wifi works perfectly.
You might want to start by renaming your data.img to something else to back it up, and then starting up. If after you boot Wifi works, then you know something is messed up in your data.img. Otherwise, you know it's something else and you don't need to wipe out your data.img.
Wifi can also easily get bungled if you update your kernel and don't update your modules file.
The kernel (zImage) and modules (modules-xxxx.tar.gz) go hand-in-hand, and they MUST be updated together.
1. Formatted SD Card with HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool
2. Deleted exchange inbox folder in SD Card (I have no idea why the formatting does not wipe it clean)
3. copied ProjectAndroid2.2Froyo.112210.cab to root of SD Card
4. Ran cab from explorer
Ran ProjectAndroid from WM
Ran Update
RHOD400
Cdma x
HW3D X
N AM DIAL X
Getting the following message:
Unable to scan for networks
WPA Wifi is on in WM
I renamed the data.img file... still does not work

That is the one I use on my sprint tp2. Works awesome. I can even wifi tether. Did you download the one at the bottom of the page from Nov. 22?
Edit: sorry. just saw you gave that info. I have never tried that N american dialer. not sure what it does. do you still get the same error when you try to turn on wifi in settings?

I hard booted my TP2 to factory settings, used the .rar files instead of the .cab...
getting the same message "Unable to scan for networks".
Yes, I am getting the same error when I try to turn on wifi in settings.
The instructions in xda is a bit misleading for .rar
The steps say
1. Unzip
2. Copy contents of .Rar to the ROOT of your SD card
When you unzip, the content is in folder "XDAndroid2.2Froyo.112210" sub-folder "XDAndroid2.2Froyo.XXxxXX"
The instruction should say, "Copy contents of "XDAndroid2.2Froyo.XXxxXX" to the root of SD card.
Please correct me if I am wrong. In any case, my wifi still does not work.
Have you tried updating manually? Also, you should get an 'andboot' folder if you go into that XXxxXX folder.
I also found a mistake with Reef's build... I asked him to update it. Basically he's not using a signed FRX03 image... I sent him a new bundle, doesn't look like he's updated it yet tho...
What I'd recommend in the meantime is to update this build manually. Download a new system.ext2, new kernel (zImage/modules - they go together!) and rootfs.
You can find all of those updates at http://xdandroid.com/wiki/Main_Page

Downloaded the latest files individually. Updated the build manually by replacing the system.ext2, zImage/modules and rootfs. Modified the startup.txt to force cdma, keyboard to rhod400 and clock speed to 540672... getting the same error "Unable to scan for networks" error.

So sometime in the last few days I started getting an error when I try downloading any free apps saying "error processing purchase". I've tried several different things to fix it and the only temporary fix is to uninstall the Market/Play Store update. The only problem with this is that after a few minutes it changes back to the Play Store and I start getting the error again. Any suggestions?
Edit: I think I figured out something to fix the issue, clearing the app data for the Play Store didn't help but clearing the app data for googleservicesframework seems to have fixed it so far.

Yes I use it on multiple devices. I thought renaming market updater.apk would keep it from changing to the Play Store but it didn't work.
Ok, this solution helped us.
We signed in with an amazon acc.
(Dont think this has something to do with it, but who knows)
We deinstalled AND deleted googleservicesframework.apk, market.apk and our marketopener.apk. After rebooting we checked again if nothing is left.
Then we copied googleservicesframework.apk , market.apk in our system/app/ folder and marked the permissions on both to:
xx-
x--
x--
and installed them.
At last we installed the marketopener.apk out of the download folder.
(We got an error that market.apk stoped or something)
After restart, we were able to sign in with an existing google account (without another android device) and to download free apps.

I had these problems because of multiple devices i think.
Do u have an error message that "google talk authentication failed" ?
Then check the first link b63 posted again. It helped me..just do everything exactly as discribed.

I don't have a MarkertOpener.apk, just MarketrUpdater.apk
That app is only for opening the market. You need something to open the market.
I downloaded my files from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTkegVrnAvA
"3. Download android market files"
the media fire link.
We simply followed that video (except the deleting we needed).
Well, I think figured out a possible fix, I just need to give it a while and try downloading some more free apps. Force Stopping and Clearing Data for GoogleServicesFramework.apk and PlayStore.apk seemed to have fixed the issue so far. I've previously tried clearing app data for the PlayStore alone and it did not work, it seems like the GoogleServicesFramework did the trick.
yupp - like in post #2:
Clear data for Play store and Google services framework then reboot and it will work.

The funny thing is that I didn't even notice that in the post, I just saw steps 1-4, until you just quoted it. Things still seem to be working fine so far.
this worked for me
I froze market updater in TB
Downloaded an older market Apk
Uninstalled play store and install market

Official Solution
Current Play Store Issues
The above URL is a link Google's page that deal with Play Store issues. Right now the solution in the 2nd post is what google is recommending as an official temporary solution until they push out an update to solve this. Its under "New Issues" menu. Top option. Please click the report button so that we can let google know that more than a "few" people, as they put it, are having this issue.
Hope this helps anyone who haven't gotten anything to work.

I've been having the same issue and I'm running CleanRom ICS 4.0.3 with Sense 3.6 on my Evo3d though, I haven't tried any apk mods I'm pretty basic and far from dev material but I've tried the clearing catch and data a few times already and the last time didn't work at all ... I thought about your edit post multiple devices and went to my devices in the Play Store on the web and it showed my HTC Hero as last device used (had flashed a Rom and signed it with google) from the day prior, I ended up deselecting the device, then on my Evo went to Set Up and removed my google account and signed back in so it shows as my most recent device in the Play Store now ... So far so good, I haven't been getting the error or any at that.... Not trying to troll, long story short, just wanted to say thanks
......
I retract this statement, It did it again, I did have to fix my permissions and that did the job

Ok that worked, be sure to reboot after you kill both.. Thanks
When you check devices under the Play Store do you notice it is only showing the most recent device you "registered"? This is happening to me so that once I do the reregistering into the Play Store on one device (e.g. my KF) then I get the error on the phone and vice versa.
Hello all
Thanks for reading
I just got a new Samsung Watch and I tried to install the GAssist as per the instructions.
I was able to create a secrets.json file but was unable to plug my phone into my laptop because it says it is not recognized and after spending hours with drivers etc I just emailed the file to my phone.
I went to the GAssist App and when it asks for the JSON file it says that it is NOT VALID
I ran it through a checker online and it said that it was indeed a valid file!
I can't find a folder on my phone called credentials so that is basically where I am right now.
Any help would be appreciated!!
Mike
I was able to get it to work.
I went through the process of creating the json file on my phone's chrome and that was recognized.
The only problem is that there is quite a delay from the double button push to when the listen button appears.
Love the app otherwise!
