i just flashed cm nightly 77 and flippys 1.9 kernel and now, when i click to connect to pc, the screen acts like its going to the connect screen but automatically going back to the home screen, is it the kernel or the nightly that is causing this?

I had this issue...it's the kernel.

[Q] Xperia play having problems starting

So my Xperia Play (CDMA) has been fine until earlier today, i had the phone on, but then when i try to wake the device, it won't wake, but the device is still on cause cause some buttons cause vibration and the back light is on, just nothing on the screen.
so i go to reboot the device, now i can't even get it turn on. i hold down the power button and it briefly starts up (no boot screen) then the led flashes green/pink/blue then stops trying, back light stays on. i keep trying still same thing. can't even get it into fastboot mode. the battery is fully charged (plugged it into a charger.) and I was last using fxp cm9 rom with lupus kernel.
after repeatedly unplugging device, removing battery, i got it to display the battery charging screen. but when trying to get out of that screen i get the whole not turning on thing again. and i should say i can tell the back light is on.
once in a while it will connect to the computer and then i can access the logcat, which is right here: http://pastebin.com/FiJFrEGE
the only thing that causes entries to write to the log is by opening/closing the touchpad.
I am very confused what the whole green/pink/blue led light is about, and why this issue is happening, is it kernel related, rom related, or hardware related, i have no idea. i'd appreciate any help i can get on this or if anyone else has had this issue. thanks.
Try flashing a stock FTF from flashtool. Might make things go back to normal.....
When I was using CM9 I use the included FXP kernel, so maybe thats why you're having a problem. Or perhaps the Lupus kernel you flashed was a GB build opposed to ICS.
Flash stock FTF an re try.
Thanks for the replies, I'll try to install a stock ftf. Also I do know which lupus kernel is which at the moment I'm running the cm10 blend with jb lupus kernel since i got the device to boot after x tries.

[Q] Phone doesn't charge while off

So I've recently rooted & flashed the latest Cyanogen 10.2 nightly on my N7100 alongside with Devil kernel and the latest TWRP recovery and now my phone doesn't seem to charge properly when it's off. I plug it in and it shows a dead battery with the little circle in the middle, I leave it there and in a few minutes it boots back into the system and then starts charging.
I've tried flashing different kernels and leaving the stock CM kernel and flashing a different recovery but none of that seems to help. Any ideas?

Stuck on Boot Loop

I have the latest nightly PACman 20130926 installed and had NEAK kernel installed on it.
I then changed to Thor (not realising I should have came from PACs kernel first and not NEAK) but got bool loops. I went in CMW recovery and
reflashed NEAK.
The phone was fine for a few hours but not has gone into continuous boot loop.
I cant get into recovery or download mode, just constantly rebooting. Same thing happens when connected to PC via USB, when its charging,
with sim and sdcard removed (not that those things would usually make a difference)
Can anybody please help as my phone is inoperable.
Thanks

GS3 problem charging when off

Greetings,
I'm hoping someone can help out. My daughter's GS3 is acting strange and the only answers I've found via Google aren't right.
It's running CM11 (20150831 SNAPSHOT) and TWRP 2.8.7.0.
The problem is that the phone will not charge when powered off. If I connect a charger (tried several) the phone will vibrate every 2-3 seconds, and it never shows the charging animation.
If I boot the phone into CM11 it charges just fine, so I'm inclined to think it's a software problem and not a hardware failure of some kind.
A broken/stuck power button seems to be the most popular answer for the "continuous vibrating" problem, but the power button works just fine and the phone does NOT power on if I just insert the battery.
I've tried re-flashing (dirty) the ROM to see if something simple got corrupted, but no luck.
Next step (unless I get advice for something less drastic) is to flash back to stock to see if the problem persists.
Change the kernel. You can run cm11 with different kernels. Try dkp
