[Q] MIUI Bootloops, WiFi and Tearing my hair out...

And my Wife doesn't like bald guys!
So I have a DHD and have used MIUI before on it. I then decided to use another ROM instead (Sense 3 based) and installed the Kernel and Radio associated with it. I have since tried to (unsuccessfully) revert back to MIUI.
My problem is this...
My DHD is hot boot looping - I wiped (full EXT4 wipe via the ZIP files available on XDA), installed MIUI 1.7.8. I then rebooted the phone twice before turning on WiFi.
When I did this I got a message about Android Settings Wait or FC... I chose Wait. Then when the WiFi switch in the settings was at the On position (but not able to find any access points) I rebooted the phone again.
Since then the phone is stuck in these Hot Boot loops. The phone lasts 40 seconds max on, unless I enable "Aircraft" mode when it will stay on. When it "reboots" it goes back to the MIUI black and purple boot screen and the loop starts again!
I'm really getting annoyed with being unable to use my wifi in the house or anywhere with what genuinely is a good ROM, interface and a great phone!
MAC Address shows as "Unavailable" in the Advanced WiFi Settings.
Please help!

[Q] Strange problem with Xperia Pro MK16a

Hi. Just about an hour ago, I had a really strange problem with my Xperia Pro MK16a. I was on a call & simultaneously using my phone as wifi hotspot, when I noted I had lost HSDPA coverage, so I decided to end the call & reboot the phone(that's what I normally do when losing HSDPA, it's because of problems at Movistar). After rebooting, the screen never turned on, even the backlight was off. The phone looked like it was off. When pressing the power button, it did nothing. I took out the battery, put it back, and tried turning on again, but same result. I waited a while to see if it was a screen problem, but windows did not detected any device, like if the cable was disconnected. So I decided to try fastboot mode. Afortunately, that worked. I first booted the old alpha version of the Xperia pro Recovery, and it worked, everything showed up on the screen. I connected via adb, and checked my partitions, which were ok. Then, I booted again in fastboot mode, reflashed the latest kernel, rebooted, and it worked.
The facts:
- The phone's using FXP050 (CM 7.2) for about 2 days
- The baseband is the one from 4.0.2.A.0.42
- I was simultaneously talking on the phone and sharing internet via wifi, as I had done before.
Here's what I think is the difference:
- About half an hour before, I had connected the phone to my laptop, which has PC Companion running at startup. The last time I connected it to my laptop, it was using the stock firmware. When I did it, PCC showed a message that instructed me to put the phone in mass storage mode so PCC could detect the phone model. Of course, I dismissed that message.
So, here goes the question: What caused that? Has anyone had that problem? Could it be a bug in the latest FXP050 kernel? Could it be a PCC error?
Thanks.

[Q] Can't boot into recover, Rom won't boot, and PC doesn't recognize USB

It's been a fantastic day for me.
I was in the middle of a nandroid restore (TWRP). I was restoring a PAC Rom, and the ROM I was running was MROM (I liked the Rom, but it didn't have the Nav Bar, so it wasn't for me - it was running fine).
In the middle of the restore, my phone turned off. I was relatively close to 100% battery when I started to do the restore.
When the phone turned off, I tried to turn it back up, and it kept looping. I then tried to enter recovery, which I did. I didn't want to try restoring again, so I started to wipe with the intentions of flashing a fresh rom. But the phone turned off again. Now, it still won't boot up, and now I can't enter recovery. I get to the TeamWin screen, and it turns off.
I can enter download mode.
However, for the last several months, my computer never recognized my phone. Today,I've tried maybe five different usb cords (2 are S3 OEM) and four different USB ports. I've tried with Kies, and I have removed Kies. I tried with Odin open and more. No luck. I think my phone's usb jack is busted, but it charges fine from the computer.
My wife has an S3, too. Last I checked, she connects just fine to the computer, but she's at work now.
What do I do?
Can I somehow use my wife's phone to fix this awesome problem?
UPDATE: The USB port/jack is messed up. I am going to try and get the warrant to cover it.
I just tried another PC with no luck, too.

[Q] Flashed BlissPop 3.4, phone is stuck in the "Checking connection" screen

[Q] Flashed BlissPop 3.4, phone is stuck in the "Checking connection" screen
Hi, this is the first time I flash a new ROM on my G3 D855 (I've flashed xposed though) and everything seemed to be fine until I got to the Android setup screen. Wi-Fi had some trouble connecting to my network but it eventually did it, anyway I've left the phone for more than 30 minutes and it's still stuck in the "Checking connection" screen. Is there any way to fix this?
In case you're asking, I've backed everything up, did a factory wipe, flashed BlissPop, flashed gapps and wiped again the cache. Finally I rebooted

Try flashing just the ROM without the gapps, power it up, then reboot into recovery and flash gapps. That should get you past your "checking connection" screen.

Try to press back button while it is keep checking connection. It happened to me 3-4 times,
Anytime that happens i press back button and then forget the network and reconnect.
It should work

Encryption failing on 6.0 Marshmallow

Hey all,
Just upgraded to the latest MM CM nightly on my Find7 and got everything working (SuperSU, Xposed etc). I wanted to encrypt my phone so I went and did the usual thing of charging it up and all. Once I hit encrypt it shows the Android guy (the encryption logo thingo) for a few seconds then goes to the boot logo. I let it go for >2 hours and nothing happened. I just held down the power button and rebooted properly and everything is fine. No files are corrupted or anything Then I tried doing it again after killing SuperSU as some have suggested, no dice either. I notice that during all the times I do it that my Pebble doesn't disconnect while it's on the boot logo so it doesn't seem to be rebooting properly at all (as BT doesn't disconnect). I've tried reinstalling the ROM from scratch again but that didn't work either. Any suggestions?
