What i did was, Flash CM6.1 and then install contact2sim from the market and use it. Contact2sim does not work on the stock sense rom.

you don't need an app. you select dialer-> contacts-> import/export->import from simcard.

have you tried MyPhoneExplorer to pull the numbers from your phone to PC?
probably not what youre looking for....
Even with newest oxygen? Are you sure you have contacts in sim card? Try it in a simple phone. Ie sonyericsson.

I had a similar problem when I imported my contacts from a vCard file on my SD card. They didn't show up in Contacts but did show up in SMS and the call log.
The problem is that by default unsynced contacts are hidden from the list. To show them, hit Menu > Display options, tap your Google account, put a check in "All Other Contacts," then finally tap the Done button. Your unsynced contacts should show up now.
I cannot login with official twitter app.
anyone got problem?
how to solve?
thanks.
ps. Oxygen 2.0.1

What ROM are you using ?
I am experiencing the same problem on my HTC HD2 running Windows Phone 7. nONE of the Twitter apps in the Marketplace will let me log in to my account, not just the official app. It won't even let me create a new account (get an error messageabout not being able to validate a token.)
i'm also having problem with this, cannot login either with peep or tweetdeck, and its the latest update software.
help, anyone?
Official Twitter app works fine for me, using Oxygen 2.0.3
just download the official apps, but still cannot login.
when i try to login, it just loading and then stops.
use opera mini and it works fine.
HTC Desire
What ROM you using?
How are you trying to login?
Wireless or 3G?
I found that the first login always seemed to fail if I did it wirelessly, switched to my phones data connection and it logged in straight away, thereafter it was fine on wireless.....
BTW using Oxygen 2.0.3 but also had this issue with CM7 and stock sense........
Okay I'm running the latest cyanogen rom and all is well besides the fact I've lost some contacts and am unable to store new ones on the sim.
Is there a way around this?

yeppers, use your google account for contacts storage, you will never have a problem
+1
Google account automatically syncs with your phone, no need to hassle with contacts backup/restore Also, it can be used to backup your installed apps automatically (without settings restored tho)
Thank you so much guys

Invaluable tip, thanks very much. Had the same problem.
Pendlebum I downloaded an application called contacts2sim and it will store any numbers you have stored to your phone to your sim. Its a bit of an inconvenience but it works

was wondering
Don't know if there's an app for that.
I did it using my google account.
The dialer or contacts app for miui has remove duplicate feature. You could install that or flash it, which ever way works.
Swyped...
I believe that this issue can easily solved by using the HTC sense link function in your people app ...

Login to your Google account then go to Google.com/contacts them remove duplicates near the top left of the screen

Hello!
I am using Leedroid 6.2 and uninstalled Notes, google+,HTC message and media uploader because they always use Data internet. Now my big problem is googel Maps! I don't want to uninstall it but it's make me mad to see it always working in background
It's certainly a battery, memory and cpu eater, can't auto-kill it with task manager either
So how can I block this app to open all the time?
There is a switch to turn off Mobile Data, which I would recommend rather than uninstall apps like HTC Message (how do you get text messages?)
Android caches a lot of applications and just because it's using memory doesn't mean that it's using CPU cycles. If something else comes along and needs the memory it'll cache the Maps app.
If you really want it to not run all the time, you'll have to either uninstall or disable it.
Media uploader backup your messages on HTC server, the sms app is still here
