Hi,
Please if someone has a Three UK branded Desire phone could make me a nandroid rom backup? I cant find any stock Three UK rom only old one for AMOLED screen and i have to send back the phone.
Details:
BRAVO PVT4 SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-0.93.0001

Thank you!!Please help me guys!
Nandroid would still be rooted so would still be breaking the warranty. Better to use a stock unbranded RUU tbh

Is that an SLCD Desire, 3UK stock RUU?
if so I'll give some thanks to it too, been after that for a long while now.
thank you very much mate!!!
I gonna try straight after work, hope gonna be ok.
i am verry happy now!
thanks again
For reference, yes it is - completely forgot a newer one was released!

is there a checksum available?
I'll get check sum when I get home. And yes, it is for slcd too, as mine is. I have ran it before just to try, worked brilliantly.

hi
i tried to install the rom but i get a [140] Bootloader version error message.
what can i do?have to downgrade the bootloader?
thx
EDIT: i solved the problem.I had to downgrade the rom and after worked fine.
Thanks for everything!!
hi killerno
can you just clear up, when you got this to work, you had to downgrade the bootloader (not ROM) ?
i have literally just got a new desire from 3, and rooted and did a nandroid backup before putting oxygen 2.0 on it, and when i checked, my backup was gone! currently im not concerned, but obviously if i ever need to send the phone back ill need to do the same as you, and i have tried to install this rom and it failed as well, so just interested as to your exact steps if you dont mind?
thank you in advance
Mikey
Downgrade following this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=768256
Then run the RUU posted on the prevous page
thanks EddyOS
i will give this a go as and when i need to (hopefully never!) as i said, im currently using oxygen with android version 2.3.4 and am pretty happy with it, although i apear to have lost 720p video recording option, but that is no biggy and the only thing i can notice that is missing.
thanks again
720p isn't in Oxygen
yeah i gathered that, any idea why as i though oxygen was gingerbread which supported it? might be wrong, i am a newbie! haha
Cause it's ****
ooooh haha, what do you recommend then oh great one? ;P
Get a decent video camera as using a phone for HD video is a massive fail!!
I barely take photos with my phone - I've a digital camera for that
ahh right, thought you were gonna recommend a different rom, well, i have a HD video camera, but, doesnt quite fit in my pocket like my phone lol. like i said, im not that bothered, just wondered why i had it on my stock 3uk rom, but when going to a newer version (albeit non official) it wasnt in there? i guess it will be added at some stage
HTC push the '720p' capability but Adam decided to remove it from Oxygen as it's not very good. It was just personal choice
As for using a different ROM, there are some which are based on 2.3.4 that have 720p enabled so go have a browse. I just use a basic 2.3.3 Sense ROM I made myself based on the leaked test ROM. It does what I need it to so I'm happy

Just wondering if anyone has tried it.. Tempted, but would like to know it works before I give it a go !!
No one tried this ?
Does anyone have any more details of this yet?
I'm quite interested in it, as I've held off rooting my desire until something like this is available so that I can get it back to stock for warranty reasons if necessary.
If someone does try it, could you let us know the HBOOT version etc?
Looks like someone used it on the other forum.. seems to have worked OK !
Following the advise on the other forum...
I've installed the stock 2.2
Seems to have gone well
Currently using my main 8gb SD as my goldcard and mem card.
About to make a backup 4gb goldcard..
Only thing I can't get to work properly is Laputa Ebook Reader.
Books are there but don't appear on My Shelf..
I'll have a play !!

If it's stock 2.2, unrevoked won't work since it's got HBOOT 0.92. I'm running that same build, but like chippieuk I haven't downgraded my HBOOT yet for fear of not getting back when something goes wrong or I need my waranty.
shipped-roms.com is asking for a password, anyone have any idea what it is?

Withdrawn O2 UK Stock Froyo RUU
I made the mistake of downgrading my Desire SLCD after I had used a clockworkmod ROM and I lost my display. This seems very common, based on the posts on this forum. However I downloaded a copy of the withdrawn stock Froyo RUU and thought I would have nothing to lose if I tried to flash my desire. Well I tried it on Monday and I was over the moon when I found my Desire was back to normal operation.
I have been using the new Froyo on my O2 Ireland phone for a week now and I haven't experienced any negatives. The phone is running a dream in every way and seems faster than the original 2.1 ROM that was initially supplied. I can only guess that the problems experienced by the initial users was related to an upgrade rather than a complete new flash.
The link I used for the O2 UK Froyo RUU is here:
http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Bra...00.32U_5.09.05.30_2_release_144166_signed.exe
I hope this fixes any similar problems for users of the SLCD Desire, good luck
wooo
I just registered to show my thanks to sysconp1, that RUU worked a treat had the bricked slcd used that link and all is well, stock o2UK froyo Thanks again buddy and merry crimbo and a happy new year to all =]
Hi All,
First off, let me start by way of apology - i know there are several threads related to this, but i'd like to be completely sure that i know exactly what i'm doing in order to get this right.
My phone's locked to Orange and has the latest software:
Froyo with December OTA update.
Okay, so from HBOOT:
BRAVO PVT 4 SHIP S-ON
HBOOT - 0.93.0001
MICROP-051d
TOUCH PANEL - SYNT0101
RADIO - 5.10.05.30
Aug 10 2010, 17:52:18
So, now for the questions:
Do i need to S-OFF?
How do i know which RRU to choose?
Is there anything i must do differently, as the tutorial i found states that "this will not work with latest OTA update"
Do i need a gold card for a stock rom?
Do i need to use unrevoked at any point for a stock rrru flash?
I would greatly appreciate it if somebody could leave a brief step-by-step action list.
Thanks in advance!
To answer you question I have a question... why? I mean are you just debranding it and that's that? Are you wanting to install custom roms? If your just debranding then you may as well just leave it as it is. Anyway here are you answers.
1) No.
2) You pick the newest RUU.
3) Do differently to...?
4) You might do if the RUU says that there is a CID error.
5) Unrevoked only roots your phone which enables you to install customs roms and so on.
Something to bear in mind before rooting is it's possible to sim-lock when you root and flash the stock HTC firmware. Happend to me and I ended up buying a code online to unlock it though now it's fine, I'm sure I reads though that you can unlock it through the HBOOT don't quote me on that.
Also bare in mind that as there isn't an Orange RUU you will never go back to 100% stock

Thanks for your feedback guys..
I took the plunge in the end and ran the sim card unlock utility, created a goldcard and flashed the latest WWE Rom.
I wish I had seen the message about not being able to return to stock, but nevermind!

I absolutely hate the Orange branding, I wanted a nice clean start. But perhaps the main reason was because I want to receive future updates without having to wait for Orange to mess around with them.
Also possibly looking into flashing a custom Rom in the near future, if I can find one that I like the look of.
I have posted several stuff about a situation I am having with my phone.... and I still cannot get it solved fully. I hope I can do it here.
I will try and summarize the situation with some key points.
First here is my current info....
Android Version 2.2.1
Baseband Version 2.15.00.03.04
Kernel Version [email protected]#2
Build Number 1.05.970.1 CL339957 release keys
Software number 1.05.970.1
PRI version 2.11_01c
PRL version 01001
Model Number PC36100

Now I first rooted using revolutionary and got s-off properly.... I played with some roms and found it fun but not enough time to keep at it..... so I decided to s-on and go back to stock using un-revoked. That semi worked.... I got s-on.... but never lost the root. I still have recovery and everything still shows I have root except s-on.
Additionally, I tried to run the stock kddi ruu and i have gotten every error from 140, 170, 171 and even at one time 130...lol still no luck there. In doing all of that I figured out that the image version on my phone is 4.24.651.1 and I need to get to 1.05.970.1 (the stock kddi evo 4g) but cannot get it done.
Also I am HBOOT-6.17.0001 which is confusing in itself. xhausx helped me by giving me a nanadroid version of my kddi rom but that doesn't allow me to update anything and finding updates here is impossible unless I am running stock without root.
I am not sure if I need to flash a new misc partition, wipe my nand or something else and so not know how to do all of that..... can someone please please please help? I am willing to toss a small reward your way if we get me back to when I bought it.
I think you need to run the RUU for your phone; get it back to out of the box, stock, and just start over.

You have a Japanese Evo, right?
Since it's a different phone, most of the people here will not be able to help you. I could tell you what to do if you had a American Evo, but it would probably either error out or further your problem.
Is there a forum for your specific version? Do things generally work the same as our Evos... like can you use the same RUU that I would use?

The fact that I have a Japanese evo doesn't mean that anyone will not be able to help me. This is actually the place where the developers made the first RUU for the Japanese evo to begin with. There are plenty of pro's here.... we just need to find the right solution for me. Additionally, most everything works the same.... I cannot use the same RUU as you because the cid will come up different and cause me more probs.

Hi everyone !
I wanted for a while now to move to the stock ROM on my HTC Desire, and I looked a lot (like 2 weeks maybe more) into the forums but doubts remain so here I am. My question might sound a little bit stupid to you but I want to be sure before doing anything because I cannot afford to have a phone that does not work at the moment.
So, my phone is S-OFF, I am running the Runnymede AIO 5.0.3 ROM actually with this baseband 32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27, and I have the 4ext Touch Recovery. I would like to use the RUU utility to move back to the stock RUU WWE 2.29.405.5 Radio 32.49.00.32U 5.11.05.27 so can I just do it normally by executing the RUU or should I perform any operation on the phone before proceding.
Thank you in advance for your answer.
Have a great day all !
Just save any data you might need becouse the RUU will trash everything but the SD.
To use the RUU you have to connect in HTC Sync mode.
You can also get the official Gingerbread HTC Desire Android 2.3 Upgrade from htcdev.com/devcenter/downloads .
I used that for a long time without problems.
Runnymede ROMs on Desire hardware aren't a good idea imho, you should have tried something like Cyanogenmod 7.1.
I tried Cyanogenmod for a while and I enjoyed it, but I kind of missed the HTC Layer which may be handy for linking contacts for instance, and I also like the HTC mail client since I use an ActiveSync mail account along with a gMail account.
Anyway thanks a lot for your quick answer.

If I were u, I would backup my current rom first before using the RUU. Before running the RUU, make sure HTC Sync is installed and phone could detect it in your computer. (Use a goldcard if necessary when running the RUU. )

Now there's a wonder since it's an unfinished product
SwiftKeyed from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk.
The official "devs only" 2.3 it's not unfinished.
HTC couldn't push it out as a normal update becouse it has vary little room for apps... but aside from that it is as good as the 2.2.
If you're s-off, you may need to fastboot flash the downgrade.img from Alpharev to allow the hboot to be overridden by the ruu

Hi all,
Recently, I used the Advanced Ace Hack Kit, to successfully root my DHD. After a few days, I wanted to return to stock for warranty purposes.
Then I came across this thead which explains how to go back to vodafone australia, I was with hutchison (3) australia.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920876
This worked nicely getting unroot, stock radio and everything, except s-on.
I did use the correct nandroid backup, (instead of vodafone, i used a 3 australia one which i found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=843998) and the correct CID, which was HUTCH001
I am unable to find a stock ruu for this particular carrier/country combo for the ACE.
Can someone, please help me in getting s-on on my device?

Thnx in advance for a any help.
What you could probably try was to re-load a stock FROYO RUU back onto your device.
There should then be a Gingerbread OTA update which would put it back to S-ON.
I've accidentaly done this before and it went completley back to stock BUT I don't think it's an entireley safe option and there may be a chance that something goes wrong - like your phone gets bricked.
Thnx scaryshark, ill try it.
Do you mean s-on when you update with gingerbread ota?

What i would recomend would be to do a full wipe and install the stock froyo from BOOTLODER ie from a PD98IMG thing. ( i havent done this for over a year so my memory is a bit iffy, ypu should be able to find the froyo image from one of the rooting guides for, dont just jump in though i reccomend you throuroughly read those guides first).
Its ok to flash froyo onto it because the DHD was released as a froyo device, we didnt get gb untill about 6 months down the line
Also, ill explain my old situation to help you along.
I was on froyo
Accidentally updated to GB
Had to get temp root to get soff and goldcard etc to downgrade back to froyo
Back on froyo
Was supposed to install a rooted GB but accidently upgraded AGAIN back to GB by accident!
I then realised that my bootloader went back to stock with s on so i did that all over again
If i can find the guide ill try to get you some step by step instructions

DO NOT flash a froyo RUU is your phone was shipped with GB, you will mess the bootloader. Just try to find the GB OTA update.
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA
I second what glevitan has stated. If you have a recent Desire HD that came with gingerbread, never take the advice from someone who tells you to flash a froyo ROM. Not to mention, flashing a RUU or even a PD98IMG will not give you S-ON.
If your phone is pre Aug 2011 Then you may be alright in flashing the unbranded froyo and then let your phone update itself OTA. Good luck finding your RUU but I don't think it exists for Gingerbread.
So how do I find out what it was shipped with?
I got my original handset in June 2011, but had a problem with so, sent it to Vodafone for repair, they then sent a new Hutchison handset early this year. But as soon as I got it, I had to update it like 3 times to get to sense 3.0.
Does that mean it was froyo or GB?
Thnx for your help guys.
