i just flashed to SyndicateROM Frozen 1.1.0 i think iam still on di18 i try to use odin to change to ec05 my cell will not let me call or get on the internet or anything can someone plz help me and when i try to use odin it just says file analysis
when i hit the power button the airplane mode keeps going on and off
Try flashing the Rom again.
Do you BONSAI?
Just like kennyglass123 said. Re flash. make sure you do all the wipes ahead of time.
i just reflash the rom samething happens wont go out of airplane mode i wipe everything 3 times
close odin, boot the phone to download mode, re odin, then reflash....make sure you close odin before you do any of it.
Edit: make sure the phone isnt connected to the computer when you put it in download mode

Very important Edit! Took me a few times myself before I caught on to that.

Earlier today, i used the one click 2.55 root. After that, i tried to install ACS through the recovery, assuming it was like the process with my EVO. However, i got stuck in recovery mode. Then, i found threads about ODEN and then ultimately decided to revert back to stock. However, it kept failing. After that, i thought that my modem was out of date and that if i flashed EC05 it would work on my phone. It didn't. Now i have no recovery and I have no clue what to do to just restore my phone back to factory setting. If someone could guide me through the steps it would be much appreciated.
You need to use odin to flash a stock rom. Just make sure only reboot is the only thing checked on the left side. You dont need a pit file. Just put the full rom tar in the PDA section and hit start bit make sure the phone is recognized by odin first. It will display a box that says "com x" the x will be a number. The number doesn't matter. So keep tryijng with odin its very picky and will sometimes fail for no apparent reason. Just keep trying. If it keeps failing try redownloading the tar file or use a different usb cable. Good luck

I also meant to say that you needed cwm 3.0.0.6 to use acs rom. You need to be on ext4

Thanks a lot. Do you know of any stock roms that i should use? I have the EB13 modem now if that matters. Also, i was on froyo when all of this happened.
I'd like to add if you still have trouble with odin. Use a short good USB cable and make sure your antivirus programs are off on your PC.
I would flash the new ec05 rom so at least you have he latest. It will also flash the modem for you as well

This happened to me last week! I was able to fix my phone with the generous help of qbking77. He has some how to videos on youtube. And mostly all the links you need on how to's with everything! He helped me out a lot! My phone is now a rescue hope everything works out. Everything everyone is telling you here is correct.

OK, when it fails, pull out your battery, disconnect the cable, reinstall the battery, hold the "1" key on the slide out keyboard, push the power button until the yellow download screen comes up. Now with Odin up, only the reboot box checked add the tar file in the PDA section and the Victory8G file in the pit section. Now connect the cable the phone and a COM box should come up. Hit start. If it fails again, try 1 or 2 more times. You may have a bad data cable or connection. Try a different cable and/or usb port.
Also if you want to go to a custom ROM I would recommend using the EB13 prerooted with CWM3 file here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=853209
Use the second file.
It still keeps failing over and over on kernel. I dont think my usb is bad as i just got this phone two days ago. Is there a way i can flash the kernel over so i can make this work? Thanks for all the help by the way. Rooting on the EVO is MUCH easier
Fixed, thanks for the help
Ok, I tried doing that boot logo thing by Rodderik.
It failed and left me in download mode. I know of no other way to get out of it download mode other than flashing something. The computer didnt want to see the phone, so i did a battery pull and it would only let me put it in download mode, or else i would get the cell to computer screen.
So i tried doing eb13 flash i had on hand... it froze 1/2 thru at factory... so i tried ec05 and tried to flash that... odin sees the phone but when it gos to do anything it fails out the gate. I was having better luck with eb13 so when i tried that, it started doing the same thing.
The pit is in the pit slot and the tar is in the phone slot....
I'm going to go buy a new cable... anyone else can think what might help???
have you tried putting the .tar in pda. that is what usually works for me

This ^^^^^ and try different slots. Also try it with the battery out, plug it into the computer then hold 1 and power to get into download mode. Flash without the battery. Then when it goes to reboot, disconnect and put the battery in.
do what these guys are suggesting and pm me if you still need help with the logo thing and i'll fix ya up
I got it to work. i tried putting it in the pda slot, but before reason the first few times i tried it failed on the get go. reinstalled the drivers and then it worked like a charm.
Rodderik I'll give it one more try before I Pm you and thx for the reply guys
Apparently in rooting and such, I flashed the wrong firmware. Now the phone wont even boot up. I can get into download mode, but when I push the up arrow, it says "Downloading, Do Not Turn Off Target". It doesn't recognzie it in Odin either. What can I do to get it back working? Please help!!

I'm sure you've already thought of this but just to confirm. Did you try switching the usb port? Did you try re-installing drivers on your machine?
Yes, if you can get into download mode you're good (the screen that says downloading, do not turn off)
Make sure that you have drivers installed as above said, use the usb that came with the phone, try another computer with the Odin for SGSIII...it should work. Then just put the stock root file (taken from the no trip root thread) here in the PDA section and hit start.

1. You must be confused because you didn't brick it at all. The fact that the phone responds at all means it is recoverable.
2. You need to have drivers to get Odin to recognize it. You also need to use the rear USB ports and make sure that you are using the stock USB cable to ensure that it works. Try other USB ports if you have to, in Download mode it WILL enumerate in Odin.
3. After it registers/enumerates in Odin, flash what you need to flash. Rooted stock, whatever.
So i tried to root my tablet yesterday and i didnt notice at first that i pick an mx5 for an older android phone i have. So i stopped odin on my pc and the tablet was stuck in download mode frozen, so i took the battery out and now it wont turn on, but when i plug it in to my computer it still shows up in odin but xant connect to it what can i do?
Why did you take out the battery? Letting it die could of helped. Did you press start of anything in odin? Or did you stop odin while it flahed the md5. This could determine if your partition isnt messed up. The only tip I got right now is to take it to samsung and get it repaired.
I took the battery out to see of i could reboot it but it didnt work and yes ot was mod process in odin before i realized what i had done, i dont really want to send it into samsung because i dont want it to be gone for awhile, could a computer repair store do it for me?
Try this. Read post #1. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2838473
Thank you so much got it working again, time to log some crazy jerrys game hours
So that link that i gave you worked?
well i tried it, but it didnt work when it was in the computer but connecting it again must have done something cause i was able to get download mode so i just flashed the proper files and got it working
please help me!! clearly i am more of a noob than I thought I was!
I rooted my phone using Odin a few months ago. Then it just crapped out on me. Now it is stuck in a boot loop mode. I can get it to recovery mood and download mode. I have tried wiping the cache partition and done the factory rest. That isn't the issue. The issue is that when I have Odin open the phone isn't being recognized. it keeps saying "USB device not recognized. the last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it". I have tried reinstalling the drivers for my Sprint S6. I have also updated the media package for my windows 8.1. But it still isn't recognizing the phone. I also tried un instaling and reinstalling. I have smart switch but still nothing. I am not entirely sure how to fix this. Please Help!! Also, in the top left hand corner where it says "kernal is not seandriod enforcing. custom binary blocked by frp lock"
I've exhausted everything best to my knowledge. I appreciate all the help I can get from you experts. Thank all in advance from this tech noob!

Geez... that sucks, and disappointing no one has replied yet.
I hate to reply with a few of the obvious tricks- but it has happened multiple times to me that my phone won't be recognized by ODIN (or anything other than as "charging"). Usually this is solved by switching to other USB ports, and plugging-unplugging a few times, but when that fails (which it does not infrequently)- I have gotten lucky by not just restarting my computer, but actually turning it off, waiting a moment and turning it back on.
Magically sometimes that does it.
Hope that works for you, and that others more senior weigh in on this :good:
I second what spammy said.
I just spent 6 hours fixing my Sprint s6. I got it domestic unlocked and somehow near-bricked it, and then got the dreaded usb not recognized message. Shutting my laptop all the way down and letting it sit a few minutes did the trick and I was able to use Odin afterwards.
update!!
so, i got it to connect by just lifting the tongue a little. It connected to Odin. I tried to flash it using the TAR file but it keeps saying failed. Can anyone tell me why it says "custom binary blocked by frp lock" and how to fix that ? I know I have to connect it to samsung online or something but the phone is stuck in boot loop mode so I cant really do much. Like I said before I tried to flash with the 5.0.2 TAR file and ended up with the following message at the top left and corner in red and black highlight "SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE: 2. BINARY: 1" what does this mean? is there a fix? and how do I fix it? my phone is already factory rest and I lost everything so I am not concerned about that as long as I can get it to turn back on. Please help me.

Where you previously on 5.1.1? If so I hear downgrading causes problems. Download a more recent tar.
Mine is 5.1.1 OL1 modem.
I'm betting that is your problem.

Sounds like your USB is a bit out of wack. You need to make sure that the PC you are using is finding the device properly, loading the drivers, and allowing you to access the internal storage. Just go to "My Computer" on your PC and your device should show up and allow you to access it. Otherwise trying to use Odin will be a waste of your time.
Once you have that Odin should find it no problem. However, if your microUSB on the device is acting intermittent and you start flashing in Odin and it disconnects for a sec there will be issues. You don't want an interrupt during the flash.
If you can do all this go to this link and download Odin 3.10.6 and the OJ7 tar file: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-galaxy-s6/general/how-to-to-100-stock-root-t3075448
Don't use previous version of Odin as they are confirmed to have issues flashing some tar files on the S6. If it doesn't work try doing another factory reset through stock recovery and try again.
Report back your findings to continue troubleshooting if needed.
Thank you! progress/update

so, i downloaded the 5.1.1 Tar file progress is that I am going to flash it. I have been using the most updated version of Odin (3.10.7) could that be causing the issue? the phone stays connected while its flashing in Odin. Once it is connected I dont mess with it? Also, please answer me if I am able to fix this issue and will i be able to get my phone booted?

I have not used the 3.10.7 version yet but should not be a problem.
Download the tar file, connect the device and make sure Odin shows the device as connected/ready, hit the AP button and select your tar file, then flash and let finish. Then it will reboot automatically and boot up normally.
Try this and post your findings.
