Do these apps work on Eclair 2.1 or only on Froyo 2.2? Mainly I ask about the Battery Mod and Absolute System. Im pretty sure that SGS Tools works on Eclair...

Titanium Backup is the only app you really need

If its applicable to you maybe you might want louder volume hack. I have it but cant really tell a difference yet.
Also definetly get OCLF over Voodoo if you want a lagfix. My quadrant score for voodoo was 969 now with OCLF its 1800+

Myself, the first rom that cans the sense dialer and contacts. I don't mind sense at all now that i'm used to it, but the dialer and contacts are aggrivating!
Changing the screen fonts. I bet a nice new one would really freshen things up.

I got rid of the personalize button by using LauncherPro. I really like having the extra shortcuts across the bottom of the screen. The 3D app drawer is pretty cool too.

I'm going to have to agree with you on this one. Do I really need 3 different ways of quickly accessing the personalize menu!!!
Looking forward to getting back to CyanogenMod. Ran it on my Eris and miss it dearly.

for me, its wifi tether, changing the notification bar, and trying out a new kernel/radio to see how that affects battery life.

No more threads asking when root will be done haha
I just want to be able to manage the file system like I want to, and also permissions...I guess
Doing wtf'ever I want to!!!
OC'ing I suppose. Kinda curious how many devs will want to mod for it.

I couldn't agree more I'm pretty partial to the internet shortcut. My INC1 was rooted and i was running IncRom 1.6 before upgrading to the INC 2. Very pleased with it just hope to see that rom for this incredible as well it was clean as hell n virtually no bugs. Now I'm just waiting for my skull n crossbones so I can start playing with this new toy
just looking forward to having the ability to flash roms period. I'm also hoping there will be a miui port at some point.

Looking forward to doing my first root and experiencing all the capabilities once rooted. And of course removing all that bloatware.
Support for HTCsense.com aka HTC Hub would be nice. I wouldn't mind having a swype HTC keyboard as well as the percent in my battery notification bar. Setcpu, wireless tether, remove bloatware, block permissions, adfree, and the famous tv off animation.

Judging by this video stock GB will give back htcsense.com. So you might now have to wait for root (or wait for root and flash with the muxed GB).

Hey Guys,
Back when i had my Nokia n95 "great phone", i could download and install a small animation thing that could animate the screen-turn-on and off so that it looked the a CRT screen from the old days?
- Does anyone know if such a thing exists for the Note II, or if its hard to code?

I use Wanam's great ROM. It can be enabled in this ROM. I suppose you don't want to flash a whole new ROM though when you don't want to root though. I think you need at least root to be able to change it.

Hey,

For non rooted you can use an app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.katecca.screenofflock
I have the widget on my home screen. You then have to configure for crt effect. Here are my settings.
I'm happy enough with it.

My apologies, when I read it back it is indeed lousy English. I meant that when you don't actually want to root your device, flashing a whole new rom might be too much. I must say that besides the animation, the rom gives a lot more nice features, yet it stays close to the original Samsung rom, so it would still be interesting to look at maybe. Installing is quite easy and explained in the WanamLite rom thread.

Hi. I just noticed that my G3 gives visual feedback when you press an apps icon on the main screen and the app drawer. If I'm not wrong, it was not like that about 2 hours ago.
How can I get rid of the visual feedback when I press ing an app/ icon?
Thanks!

Just added some pictures so you guys can have an idea of what I'm talking about!
Mine has always done that
O.k. let me put it this way: is there a setting to turn that big box or square into just a glowing animation or maybe nothing? I don't want to root yet and even though I love the Google now launcher (just upgraded from a Nexus 5) I like the G3's launcher features. So my goal is to explore and enjoy the stock launcher as much as I can, beside, LG with their new UI has giving me the feeling that being skinned is not so bad after all...
Hey I know this is normal, but why can't the icons just behave like the ones above the nav bar that just kind of glow when touched??? Does anyone know how to make this different???

Exactly my point! Thank you for understanding my question! Anyway apparently there's no way to change that other than rooting or with a different launcher... Problem is that I like the G3's launcher and don't feel like rooting

Your welcome I also like the launcher and use it but I am indeed rooted and have done some nice things through it, mostly with G3 tweaksbox. But do you know how I can change this box thing with root access without using another launcher???

Personally I don't. I've read about it, don't remember where though. I don't have anything against rooting, is just that I change my phone very often. The last phone I kept for 2 years, rooted and flashed roms was a droid 2 lol. I used to love it!

I just rooted the G3, got myself the G3 tweaks box, have done some customization but haven't been able to get rid of the visual feedback when you press an icon-app on the home screen (see 1st post attachments for pics).
Is there a way to get rid of the feedback or just change the animation with tweaksbox?
Now that I'm rooted I'm willing to try other methods as well. As long as is not flashing a Rom or some crazy mods since I like the G3's UI.
Thanks again!
Btw can this be moved to the customization page?

A couple of new betas but no fix yet. I've even themed( just a few things cause I love the g3s theme) my phone using the g3tweaksbox, love it! I knew it was a great app since the beginning so I went for the paid version. @P_Toti is very busy working on his new official release but if my request is in that launch a donation will occur.
