If its applicable to you maybe you might want louder volume hack. I have it but cant really tell a difference yet.
Also definetly get OCLF over Voodoo if you want a lagfix. My quadrant score for voodoo was 969 now with OCLF its 1800+

[URGENT] How resolve clock lagging problem?

I have a problem with the clock of mine i9000. Every day it lags about 20 minutes.
I have these specs:
Android version 2.2
Base Version: I9000XXJP2
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9
Build Number: GT-I9000-eng 2.2 Master 332 test-keys, 332
Thanks all

the only solution if you insist on keeping 2.2 is too root then install clock sync from the market.
You running task kilker apps?

Rooting your phone basically gives you more control on your phone. Search for previous post will give you a way to root it, it's JP2, not JP3, so it should be very straight forward
effect of your cell phone: loss of warranty but there's way to unroot it.

You officially lost your warranty when you flashed unofficial firmware. Root doesn't matter anymore. Just refresh to stock before you go for warranty.
As for you problem, I have no idea. I've never seen anything like it.

No, it not the taskkiller. All froyo rom's have the clock lag problem.
I have been running XXJP3 from modaco for a week and haven't had a similar issue at all..
It might be that you task killer as an autokill feature so it kills the clock but as the clock start back seconds later it makes you loose time I'm using advanced task killer and I've moved the applications that are automatically restarted by the system to the ignore list
i also have clock lag..no killers in use and on FW JM5..

How is this urgent? FROYO IS A PRE-RELEASE ROM!!! It's nowhere near ready for production. Downgrade to Eclair, and a lot of things will work again
Seriously, if you find stuff like clock lagging "urgent" problems, you should be running a production-quality firmware, NOT a Beta/Alpha version. It's common sense...

when it's ready I'll put a version in the section of development, hi!

What are you most looking forward to with root?

Myself, the first rom that cans the sense dialer and contacts. I don't mind sense at all now that i'm used to it, but the dialer and contacts are aggrivating!

Doing wtf'ever I want to!!!
OC'ing I suppose. Kinda curious how many devs will want to mod for it.

I couldn't agree more I'm pretty partial to the internet shortcut. My INC1 was rooted and i was running IncRom 1.6 before upgrading to the INC 2. Very pleased with it just hope to see that rom for this incredible as well it was clean as hell n virtually no bugs. Now I'm just waiting for my skull n crossbones so I can start playing with this new toy
just looking forward to having the ability to flash roms period. I'm also hoping there will be a miui port at some point.

Looking forward to doing my first root and experiencing all the capabilities once rooted. And of course removing all that bloatware.
Support for HTCsense.com aka HTC Hub would be nice. I wouldn't mind having a swype HTC keyboard as well as the percent in my battery notification bar. Setcpu, wireless tether, remove bloatware, block permissions, adfree, and the famous tv off animation.

Then you can't have it as no one wants TouchCrap on their Nexus
There is a ROM which uses TouchWiz but at the end of the day you're going to have to root if you want it - or get an SIII
Come on, a nexus without root it's like the sky without the stars... and if you have found an app that require root you've an excuse to make that too, i've rooted straight out from the box just for the sake of it...
Didnt get it but another app and its better...
Well got the feature that i wanted plus this app contains the dialer and the contact app into just one called "Dialer Ex" its good tried it ... and happy ... well i love my nexus now as it is .. dnt want even a tini minie miney bug on my perfect phone...:silly:

[Q] CRT screen on/off animation?

Hey Guys,
Back when i had my Nokia n95 "great phone", i could download and install a small animation thing that could animate the screen-turn-on and off so that it looked the a CRT screen from the old days?
- Does anyone know if such a thing exists for the Note II, or if its hard to code?

I use Wanam's great ROM. It can be enabled in this ROM. I suppose you don't want to flash a whole new ROM though when you don't want to root though. I think you need at least root to be able to change it.

For non rooted you can use an app.

I have the widget on my home screen. You then have to configure for crt effect. Here are my settings.

My apologies, when I read it back it is indeed lousy English. I meant that when you don't actually want to root your device, flashing a whole new rom might be too much. I must say that besides the animation, the rom gives a lot more nice features, yet it stays close to the original Samsung rom, so it would still be interesting to look at maybe. Installing is quite easy and explained in the WanamLite rom thread.
