Then you can't have it as no one wants TouchCrap on their Nexus
There is a ROM which uses TouchWiz but at the end of the day you're going to have to root if you want it - or get an SIII

Come on, a nexus without root it's like the sky without the stars... and if you have found an app that require root you've an excuse to make that too, i've rooted straight out from the box just for the sake of it...

Didnt get it but another app and its better...
Well got the feature that i wanted plus this app contains the dialer and the contact app into just one called "Dialer Ex" its good tried it ... and happy ... well i love my nexus now as it is .. dnt want even a tini minie miney bug on my perfect phone...:silly:

If its applicable to you maybe you might want louder volume hack. I have it but cant really tell a difference yet.
Also definetly get OCLF over Voodoo if you want a lagfix. My quadrant score for voodoo was 969 now with OCLF its 1800+

[Q] exporting galaxy s apps

Tried to use the rootexplorer to copy it but it didn't show up in my progs on the new device. Think I'm missing something here.

[Q] how to install the app which is built in samsung galaxy s2

my friend bought a brand new samsung galaxy s2
i saw lots of apps in his phone
such as task manager, digital clock...
i'm wondering if i can install those apps in my arc
but i don't know how
can anyone help me out
and please show me what to do
thanks!!
first try to find it on market
and if you dont find it there, then ask some developers to port it onto arc.
i can't find it in the market
i want the apps originally built in samsung s2
how can i ask them to help me?
contact over PM binary, experienceD, freexperia team etc.
Pull the apps out of the SGS II's system and try to install them on Arc
Sent from my iPad 2 using Tapatalk
i've already tried but it didn't work
it says app not installed.
i tried many times still didn't work.
what can i do?
Then it will be difficult.
Apps seem to be only working on the SGS II then. There must be some kind of autorisation in the app.

i send the apps in s2 to my arc and set rw-r--r--
and reboot
but it still doesn't work.but i have tried to change galaxy s2's boot animation and it works!!
the problem seems to be just in the apps.
i can't install them
please teach me if you find a way to install and can perfectly work.
Thank you!!
They will be SGSII specific apps which will need to be ported as they will rely on things like the SGSII framework-res.apk to work. So unless a dev want's to use it or will port it for you you'll have to do without.
thats a good phone!

Why you think that built in taskmanager is good.??
Anyway...android dont need task managers and killers.
Alternativ is download some another taskmanager. Like someone already tell us..samsung apps need samsung frameworks.
And samsung make this framework compatible with samsung devices....

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you, I was simply curious, as everyone is.
Anyway, old TW launchers will need to be ported as they don't work with the ICS framework.

as i already said, i wasnt able to copy it. i dont know why but the miui file explorer (the one for non miui roms) refused to.
when i wanted to paste it in the system/app folder it did, but the file wasnt showing up.
so screenshot please
@sumpf2 Does the MIUI file manager actually allow you to move system files?
I'd recommend Root Explorer if you haven't tried it already.

i deleted bloatware with it. it does, but you have to mark it in the settings
it worked with root explorer, but still doesnt run, even if i restart it doesnt show up in all installed apps ^^

[Q] CRT screen on/off animation?

Hey Guys,
Back when i had my Nokia n95 "great phone", i could download and install a small animation thing that could animate the screen-turn-on and off so that it looked the a CRT screen from the old days?
- Does anyone know if such a thing exists for the Note II, or if its hard to code?

I use Wanam's great ROM. It can be enabled in this ROM. I suppose you don't want to flash a whole new ROM though when you don't want to root though. I think you need at least root to be able to change it.

For non rooted you can use an app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.katecca.screenofflock
I have the widget on my home screen. You then have to configure for crt effect. Here are my settings.
I'm happy enough with it.

My apologies, when I read it back it is indeed lousy English. I meant that when you don't actually want to root your device, flashing a whole new rom might be too much. I must say that besides the animation, the rom gives a lot more nice features, yet it stays close to the original Samsung rom, so it would still be interesting to look at maybe. Installing is quite easy and explained in the WanamLite rom thread.
