[Q] Trying to remove app with root explorer...

Firsts things first I'm running CM7 now with that out of the way I been able to get in and delete what I didn't use for apps all but one and its the news and weather app. Its useless to me and can't find it anywhere I know that some apps are not recommended to remove and I'm hoping this isn't one of them but but any help to find this and be able to remove safely would be greatly appreciated! Thsnx in advance
Its in system apps. If you can't find it do a search within the app. It will find it for you.

No real point looking at this forum if you're not prepared to root your phone

Always worth asking the question though.
Whilst removing the Orange bloatware is not possible (without root) you can maybe hide it using a different home launcher like ADW.Launcher or LauncherPro (will "hide" a lot of sense stuff too though).

[Q] [Pro]way to uninstall /disable default dialar

Hi this is my 1st thread,
as every body know xperia ICS is having a slow dial pad.(it take more thatn 4 seconds to load with recent contacts)
But there are few 3rd part Dialers like exDialer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.modoohut.dialer&feature=search_result. this application work fine with any amount of recent contacts,It loads within 1,2 seconds
SO is there any way to permanently uninstall /disable default xperia pro Dialer and make the dial pad loading time increase

HTC apps ported

Hey, im posting down here cause you guys would probably be the best to ask..
I had a one x (not any more though), now have a nexus 4 and i would like some of the apps - the notes (with widget) and the maps ported to my nexus.. i extracted the apks from the HTC rom but havent been able to install them on the nexus - i tried putting them in system/app as well.. could titanium backup or something work? if so, can someone upload a backup so i can use it?
Hope someone can help me here! Thanks

the answer is simple...u need sense to run any app made for sense..so quit trying..
The apps and widgets require sense framework to be used. I don't think a sense rom exists for the n4.

how did this guy port some stuff to the speria x2 then? i see some framework and supporting files, which could probably be helping run the apps but wasnt really sure

You can port it. Actually what you'd need is someone who's willing to do that.

It's not a quick job, HTC seem to have made changes to the kernel to support their Sense stuff (or to prevent it being ported, depending on how cynical you are).

Nexus like multitasking ?

Any one know of any apps that handle multitasking like the Nexus devices do, or even better like how CM10 handles it?

The Nexus devices show a transparent floating list on the right side of the screen where you can swipe away open apps, CM goes one step further and gives you a button to close all open apps. The HTC One takes you to another screen with really small pictures of apps you swipe away one by one to close. Ideally I am looking for the CM version of that, or would even settle for the stock Google version.
Wait until the Google edition then flash that.

You see the whole part about me posting here is that I don't want to wait. But thanks for the suggestion.
TrickDroid rom has an option in its settings to change from sense multitasking to the nexus style you are referring to. Only thing is there is no close all option like CM.

Thanks, that is exactly what I am looking for, just in an apk or a flashable zip. I will keep looking.

Its a framework change. I've done it before on another phone. And by the way, you don't need to wait for the google edition. CM10.1 is exactly that with more features.

Thanks. I know I could jump on cm but oddly enough I am enjoying the stock rooted app at the moment. I appreciate the feedback.

You'll probably have to ask someone to make it for you specifically, or Flash TrickDroid which isn't far off a stock rom other than some theme options
