You might want to try to Odin back to a stock EL29 - sfhub is the MAN for this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1433101 you can choose to save data or do a complete wipe; probably best to just wipe the whole thing. Then put on CWM+Rogue's recovery [it is NOT the touch recovery - YOU DON'T WANT THAT!] instructions for that are also in sfhub's post - read throroughly. Then apply Phantom Hackers Blazer ROM afterwards. Been running Blazer for a while now and found it to be the best ROM for me. Good luck.

If you do not have a yellow triangle during the start of booting on your hone then you do not have an Odin count that goes over 0. After for what it does it tells your cell provider if you have flashed a custom anything pretty much.
U have to flash the SBL for the EG30 or EG31 roms. The newer bootloaders stopped the jig from working.

That is probably the safest way. You can odin the stock EL26 CWM as a shortcut instead but I prefer to do the one click odin back to stock personally. I don't plan on going back and forth much anyway .
I've tried ics less than a half dozen times. I've always just Odin one click to EL29.
Ya I might just stick with it I did a factory data reset then all the force closes stopped and I am running good now but it is always nice to know how to get back safely. When you say the one click you mean the latest sfhub one right?

I know there are one click restores for ICS but I prefer to go back to GB stock rooted.
I used the odin OC to update to the leaked FH13 and am having all sorts of problems that I've seen others are having. what is the best way to go back to FF18 stock or rooted if I have to. Can I use another odin OC or do I need to do something else?

Several different options with the questions you're asking. Without knowing your end goal, it's a guessing game.
And I guess i should say - back up any data, files etc prior to making changes unless you don't care about losing what's on your phone. Sync your contacts, save your messages, etc, etc, etc.
You can use the rooted ff18 (reset data) and then use the autoroot package to unroot if you want to be on ICS and don't care about trace files or folders being left.
If you want to go back completely stock, no root, and clean up your storage - Use the EK02, Rest Data, One Click. Don't apply the OTA update to EL29 just yet, do a factory reset and option to format USB, restart and let the OTA process take you all the way to FF18.
Yes, either way, with one clicks, it is safe to do from FH13. Do NOT perform a factory reset until you're back on GB.

Hey,
Similar issue to OP but I'll be specific. I had FF18, not rooted, and used ODIN (for the first time I might add) to upgrade to FH13. Now I'm having issues and just want to revert to FF18. How can I accomplish this? I might add, I didn't get FF18 OTA, I went to qbking's instructions to update it manually. Easiest way to get back?
Thanks.

If you are just looking to go back quickly, and don't care if you have root or not, just use the FF18 Reset Data One Click from Sfhub. (Some say using the No Data within ICS to ICS isn't an issue, but I always reset data to avoid any issues that may arise..)
If you want to go back completely stock, no root, I'd recommend the post above yours starting back at EK02. Just the easiest in my mind, although others have different steps. Less user actions needed that way, just longer in the automatic process...

Is this any different than the FF18 OC then unrooting?

Takes me probably an hour for total reset. If I want the phone to be pure stock. I don't try to rush. Bad things happen then. And yes, its an incremental update process. Some people stop and don't chose the ff18 update and use the notification killer. (if you don't have a great connection, then this wouldn't be the ideal way.)
I would say that the one click would be the same regardless of current build. (I don't use cm builds) Its suggested to go into recovery and wipe all by some prior.
I usually pause on el29 and do a factory reset. That's just the way I do it.

It should probably just reapply the update over again and hopefully fix things and keep her root. I hope this is the quickest fix.

Problem didn't get fixed... I just don't get what could be wrong with the phone. It starts up fine, and for abotu 10 seconds it's fine but then something gets opened that must cause it to reboot. I don't know what service could be causing it to reboot. I wish I could at least backup all her data before the damn phone reboots itself.

Thank you so much for trying to help me through this. I really should have backed up her data, but I thought it was KIES and I wouldn't have to worry about any stupid problems happening.
First question is, is there anyway I can retrieve and backup her data without rooting? I know it's a longshot, but in recovery can I connect to ADB or something and extract stuff?
Second question, is there a update.zip of the jelly bean I could possibly give a try? I can still put and install update.zips through an external SD card.
I'm going to give the ICS firmware a try, hopefully it retains her data, but I've never downgraded before in hopes of keeping data. I just need to backup her text, phone, apps with kies and try teh update again.

screw it... I rooted her phone, I think this is the only way I can fix it. So I am going to try and make a back up using recovery, then factory reset, format system data and then try restoring her phone. I'll let you know how that goes.
Is there a sticky here that gets your phone back to stock and resets the counter? Or does rooting not affect the counter?

Root it. Use Triangle Away to reset counter and get rid of the triangle too. Also you could always Odin flash the firmware. Doesn't delete data... Done the same with my I9300. Wanted the XXELKC firmware and didn't delete data. Also worked with GF's I9305.
Its free on XDA from Chain fire and requires Super User. After doing that you can Odin that latest firmware and it'll be on stock.

I'm having some issues with my phone rebooting or powering off frequently, especially when I plug it into a charger. I don't think I have the power button issue. I suspect it is the battery (although the battery was replaced Oct 2012 at the sprint store) and have another on the way. I want to exhaust every possible option in testing, so I want to take my phone to off the shelf stock. I currently am running rooted sprint JB, and I am looking for a way to remove all user files on internal storage as well as the tweaks (have comadose installed and had kobridge before) just to make sure it is not from a bad flash. I know how to go back to stock unrooted GB27 with Nodata via ODIN, however I want to make sure ALL tweaks and user files are removed too. Ideas?

The only thing I can say is if you have a CWM recovery installed boot into it and wipe all storage areas with that, then use the ODIN one-click RESTORE version (not NODATA as RESTORE will wipe all user data from the phone). That's about the best I can do for you. I just did it the other day to my phone and it wiped literally everything from the device, including the custom boot-screen.

A slip of the tongue, I meant restore, not nodata. I can mobileodin el29 directboot. What should I do in CWM to ensure all internal storage, system data, and tweaks is completely wiped? I usually use JB format all x2 but that doesn't delete pictures etc, so I am assuming it's leaving possible conflicts from flashing roms
OK, I flashed el29 directboot to CWM, formatted EVERYTHING I had an option to in CWM, did a restore to stock unrooted but it still knew my wifi password when the phone powered on which makes me think not all the data had been reset...
Try stock recovery do a "factory reset"after that it should ask you for wifi password.

If you are rooted, use Mobile Odin Lite to flash a stock EL29 KERNEL (.tar). - I would highly suggest this particular way as it's how I do it and I've never had any issues doing it with Mobile Odin Lite. Mobile Odin Lite
If you're going to use CWM to flash the stock EL29 KERNEL, use the .zip version.
You could also always try the One-Click EL29 KERNEL, but I've never used a One-Click before so I can't help you on that process but I'd imagine it's the same as flashing the ROM with a One-Click.

After that just do a factory reset through the stock recovery. You should be all set after that.

I used mobile odin lite to flash EL29 directboot kernel. This allows the use of CWM after flashing the kernel. Once in CWM I formatted everything I could in CWM and formatted cache and dalvik. From there, I used a one click desktop ODIN to flash stock sprint unrooted. IAfter all this, I am still having issues with constant restarts. I replaced the battery and am still having the problem. I am unsure if this is software or I have a power button issue. Does anyone have any tips I can try?

Well, then I'd probably say it's a power button issue, but I've also heard of moisture in the charger port (not necessarily liquid damage, could just be moisture in the air) might cause random bootloops as well. Could be a number of things, but you've stamped out your issue from being software related (as far as I can see). Sorry I couldn't be of more help to you.
Depending on what stock ROM you want there's a one click you run through odin that's wipes the internal memory as well

I go back to ICS because, at least in my area, 4.1.2 JB has not gone OTA which, imo, you can't go wrong with it. It's stable and it's just what I do. I'll eventually switch to a stock JB build for a one-click restore, just not yet. I'm not living under a shell I know JB has gone official.

JB is not an area specific thing... You can only officially get it over the wire from Samsung's site or by using kies. They will not do it over the air. So no matter where you are in the world, JB is official for all three variants of the E4GT.
ICS is the worst thing to hit the E4GT and is not stable. You obviously do live under a shell if you think it is. IMO, CM10.1 is more stable.
So, let's try not to make poor excuses with completely wrong information when posting next time.

Thank you, Mr. "Graydiggy" for this eye-opening experience
Rough night for me. My bad. All I am saying is that you should take more time to read. A little bit of bad advice could render someone's phone unusable. Even though your advice was decent, you could have possibly left someone in the dark when it comes to a much better version to use.
Like you said, mistakes are made, but some mistakes can cost hundreds of dollars. Its better to know what you are talking about and if you aren't sure, search for the answer.

ICS is the worst thing to hit the E4GT and is not stable. You obviously do live under a shell if you think it is. IMO, CM10.1 is more stable.

Yeah I gotchu maynee..no worries, I was just kinda posting what I do and I still don't really think running a ics one-click versus a 4.1.2 one-click is a hundred(s) dollar midtake. For some reason though I hadn't even thought about downloading a 4.1.2 one-click. probably a lot easier and hassle free?
Its not that it is a costly mistake, but it can be quite troublesome. I was saying that one should know every detail of something before posting. I have seen many a brick happen do to someone saying to do one thing that was completely wrong. So even if it has no potential of bricking you, take into account that it could just be wrong.
GB27 Is the best in terms of stock ROMs. People that say otherwise either don't know what they are talking about or it's horrible user error and misinformation.
