If you have FR coded (french) software on your phone, you can update via Motorola Software Update. If not you have to wait to get the update for your region. The other possibility is to use RSD Lite and flash sbf directly (linked in this topic), but be careful because this can lead to warranty execution. If you want to keep your phone downgradeable you can use a nandroid backup.

local motorola covers with warranty all devices with official roms, not only these which are bought from the official dealer.
if a flash the FR rom, i will able to reflash the central europe one when it is available?

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to flash any of the official Froyos over this version, I already tried it with the Nordic one. I think there'll be not much differences between the official softwares, except blur/deblur and some regional stuff, so changing ROMs won't be a problem.

Yes you can. If you are not sure what to remove just freeze the chosen application first.

all settings and data remained untouched. the problem is that automatic email account isn't working and i didn't prompt to create a motoblur account, so some features which requires motoblur like update doesn't work. any ideas?

Don't think so
those features are attached with apps_compressed.bin file
when ever you flash a new one you will change the version of you bada
patching apps_compressed.bin file to add them also so hard

No. At least not with the current method. We haven't had a chance to study 2.0 yet.

KK5 is now removed from FUS...like KK5 on S8500 before...
So I think soon we can get newer Version for S8530.

I dont know what about KK7 but KK8beta its faster then KK5 and more nice, wifi have nice driver

Its work just for S8530XXKK5 XEF
Dont upgrade more then KL1
Never upgrade like small size file 4.8Mo but for real file like 6.8Mo...
If you are now on KKV you need to reflash to KK5 and rebegin FOTA upload then stop when you have KL1 cause there's other KLV and if you upgrade it you cant after upgrde for new version also you need to reflash from KK5 again, then stay on KL1.

Normally in 8500KK5 DBT firmware but its doesn't work for now for some one.. You can test. Not guaranteed works
And there's no KL1 for S8500 for now

do you know if the version deployed by samsug in the different countries is the same one ?
What I wonder is do I need to wait for the real french version of the ROM or can I download the one that is written here of any country and it will be the same ?

My GT-N7105 had italian vodafone firmware.Yesterday i installed the 4.3 Nordic version and is working, no issues whatsoever :good:

Just the modem and bloatware will be different.. however I think you can also flash your country's stock rom when it reaches ur country.. it wont raise your knox counter to 1

You can flash any rom from any country just make sure you have the correct phone model number.

Actually, I don't have my device rooted anymore since I bought my Samsung Note II,
- because I need it to be stock in order to get my business mails,
- because I understood I did not need it really... what for ? I can install all of the apps I want, I can develop my own apps with AIDE
- because I don't need my device to be running on a custom ROM as stock Samsung ROM already contains all options I need
...
So yes, I still would like to install this new 4.3 SAMMY's ROM, which I am waiting for so long...
However, I share your disappointment, regarding you needs and wishes

Yes. Hongkong 4.3 has been reported as the most stable for 4.3.
U can try it. Just remember that KNoX thing won't allow u to revert back to 4.1.2

You can ofcourse revert back to 4.1.2 or any other version - you will just loose the ability to run KNOX ever again.

Even if I didn't care for a custom Rom, I would want to be rooted, in order to use truly battery-saving apps, add-killing apps, kill some useless system bloatware, use a more efficient kernel, use a firewall to prevent many apps to connect to the internet against my will (and sending whatever data to whatever server without me knowing what they are sending behind my back),...
