Hey,
I would have posted this in the thread however I have less than 10 posts (as you can probably see).
Anyways, I have been trying to download the Latest Revolution HD Rom however everytime I do, I get a different MD5 Checksum than the one in the thread. I saw in there that he has been having troubles with the server, could this be the problem? I have tried downloading 3 or 4 times now at uni and at home so I don't think the problem is on my end, well at least I hope not
I downloaded it last night and it installed no problem. Do you want me to email this file to you?
Yeah thanks, ill PM you
on its way now
Apologies, my mail server just sent it back saying its exceeded maximum size

Hi,
For those who don't fear to brick their phone, you can try this custom rom (v11) I've just made
As of now, nothing special with it, I just added Pim Backup, only to test the kitchen, so really no reason to flash it except to confirm whether it works or not. If you want to test it, use the stock rom in this thread (thanks Dark9781) to extract the files into programsdata\LGMOBILEAX folder and then replace phone\GW820-V10d-OCT-27-2009+0.dz with mine (giving it the same name).
Once again, I can't insist enough on the fact that this is experimental for now (for this test rom, I did some rebuild stuff manually, I don't know if it works). Once the tools are proved to be stable, I'll release a updated kitchen for you to play (it might take a week or so to finalize the tools, maybe less).
if u can free up rom and ram i will like to test for u. i hate only having 70% free on reset opera 10 crashes on my phone
Downloading it now. I will post to let you know if it works after I flash it.
Just tried to flash the test rom, but it keeps causing the flasher program to crash before 4%.
damn i was just about to try, dark are you on windows 7 or xp?

I ran it on windows 7. I'm going to try it on xp now and will post the results.
UPDATE: Crashes on xp too.
Thanks for the test, Dark9781.
When you say it's crashing before 4%, what does that mean exactly ? Does is start to flash anything on your phone ? Are the 1st percents only decidacted to do checks on the file ? Do you have a log file ?
Did you try to download the rom a second time to be sure it was not a bad download ? I'm downloading it myself to check if my upload was good (I remember the 1st Incite tests were failing because of errors on upload, that's why the following tests were 7z, I'll do that on the next tests).
Also did you try to extract the stock v10d with dzdecrypt and pack it with dzcreate using another version name (-vTEST_ROM) (just to be sure it's not due to the name and/or the tools).
Sorry for all these questions but it's just to narrow the search.

Well, the first 4% is just a check of the rom and it is failing causing the flasher program to crash. I'm going to try and download it again to see if it was the download. I didn't try dzdecrypt to take the stock rom apart and dzcreate to put it back together, but I'll try that too.
I used dzdecrypt and dzcreate to deconstruct and reconstruct the stock rom and it flashed fine. I downloaded the test rom again and again the flasher crashes. The message I get is 3GQCT_SP_STARTER MFC (a bunch of weird symbols) stopped working. The log I posted on the last post was the wrong log. It was for another install that failed on me so please ignore that. The flasher didn't create a log for the flasher crashing.
Ok, after a check, it seems that there was a problem during upload (i've found a string "n: close cache-control" in the middle of the uploaded dz file that was not on my version).
I'm reuploading it right now, let's hope it will be fine this time.
Hoping that that was the only problem. I remember that there was a problem with uploads with the Incite. I've been having some problems with uploads lately. Seems to be happening a lot with mediafire. I'll try it again once it is uploaded.
Upload finished, link in 1st post. I've embedded a md5 in the archive.
2Am here, see you in 8h from now
We have a winner. It worked.
UPDATE: The rom flashed, but there are a bunch of things that aren't functioning properly. At least we know that a rom can be put together now.

So what exactly isn't functioning correctly?
New test rom available.
Flashing your V3 now, having trouble flashing with the LG IQ Flasher so I am using my Octopusbox to flash.
Ok, phone boots up, but the screen is all black, and non of the buttons seem to work or there is a really long delay to get them to work. Start Menu doesn't work.
Just flashed test 3 and can confirm that I am getting the same results as test 2.
Test 4 gives the same results as test 2 & 3.
I flash the fresh 3 and every time I try to do tethering it have an error that process android.tether have been stop I can't found any other program like fresh said in the spec of the Rom can anyone help me figure what I am doing wrong..?
This isn't posted here. It goes on Fresh Thread. And dude. What up with the crying face. -_-

Seems like a lot of work when all you have to do is uninstall it and then reinstall from the market which takes about 9 seconds.
But yeah, this is in the wrong place.
I attempted to use the one in the android market as well and continued to get force closes. I found an apk for the tether in one of the posts in the forums, I can't recall what one. It provided a list to several different versions of the wifi tether, I just picked the one on top and it worked. It says it's version 2.0.5-pre2(Masterblaster)
Hey I was wondering if anybody else is getting a bad download for the LifelessJellybeanv12 zip? I've downloaded it 3 times once on my phone and twice on my desktop each time the zip file was empty. I attached a picture of the message that I'm getting on my desktop, and I'm basically getting this same message when I download from my phone. Just wanted to know if this is happening to anyone else who could possible offer some help.
have you checked that the file size is the same? It should be 919.51 MB
Maybe the download is corrupted?
Something is wrong with the download. A couple other guys, myself included, are having the same issue.

Yes I checked the file size on my phone it shows up as .90GB which I know is wrong, and on the desktop it shows up as 919MB but I still get the same message that I posted in the picture. I think it's a bad download maybe, hopefully he fixes it.
By the time I had a chance to try lifeless the file was unavailable. I did get the stock zvb and flashed that. Froze bloat with Titanium Backup.
New working Lifeless zip is up. Not sure if you all have noticed, but wanted to point out the fact just in case. It is working, and I can verify, as I've been running it all day with no issue.

If the devs post the hash checksums you should verify the hash of the file you've downloaded. It's easy. You can move it to your phone, launch terminal, and run "md5sum filename.zip". Make sure the hashes are the same. That way if it's not the same, you'll know you have a bad download.
Can someone pls tell me why my Wifi is not working. I FLASHED the Synergy latest ROM and now I can't connect to wifi..I tried in other spots and it still tries but will not connect...help.. it gives me an "Saved"or "unable to authenticate error"...this happens anywhere that I try to connect to Wifi...and I actually have to turn WIFI off in order to download data from a file....any suggestions???
Did you chdck the md5 before flashing? Also did you clean flash the rom? One last thing, did you restore any system apps using titanium backup? Any of these three things can cause lots of headaches.

I did not chk the md5..don't really understand what to do with that...I did a clean install and didn't restore apps from Titanium backup...
What do I look for in the md5 and what actually do I do with it..do I install like I am installing a custom ROM???
Usuall the websiye you download the rom from has an md5 or the original post(op) of the thread you got it from has it. It looks like just a bunch of random letters and numbers. Thr way you check the md5 of your file is to go to the playstore and download md5 checker. Also file explorers like root explorer have it. I find it easier though to use the md5 checker app. You open it and it has a box that says load file. You navigate the program to the file( your synergy rom) then you click the select file. It will calculate the md5. Then you just make sure that md5 matches the md5 on the page or thread.

I did not see a file for the mod5..so I used the ROM and this is what I got...how do I compare or find oit if it is correct.

I basically have the same issue for the international version.
This was my first time installing a custom rom, used the 'cm-10.1-20130708-NIGHTLY-n7100.zip ' latest nightly build.
Anyway everything seems to work fine, but WiFi gets stuck on authenticating / obtaining IP address.
I did the MDR5 thing, and when I check it turns red.
I believe I had a similar issue once when I only rooted it. I fixed it by placing the right WiFi file on my phone. But I can't recall the name nor method.

Sorry nothing, not even a tiny hint in my mind. All I remember was I needed a file to fix it
Wait. I forgot something. I got a reply somewhere else telling the following:
'For your case go to the dial number screen and put *#0011# hit the menu then go to WiFi at the bottem. You will notice that the wifi is on eco mode, just get is disabled. There you go'.
I haven't tried it yet since I restored my phone to normal because I needed my WiFi working for apps and messaging.
Tell me if it works!:good:
It didn't work

I'm having the exact same problem, every time I try and flash an AOSP rom. Stock roms like All-Star and Whomp don't give me any issues, but paranoid, CM, anything along those lines at all, they all give me the same issue. I can't seem to find an answer anywhere.
Wanted to comment here again to a POSSIBLE fix. I backed up any internal files I needed to an outside source, then formatted my entire internal storage. Since then, I don't get the Authenticating/Obtaining IP issue as much. I sometimes have to turn the wifi off and back on just once if I restart my phone, but that's about it. Not sure if it'll work for anyone else, but it's helped me.
Before flashing DN3 I was on 4.3 and got ~24mbps/15mbps.
Now I hardly get 14/15. Seems the upload is not affected. The connection itself is 30/20 and I'm getting that speed on other devices (laptop, PC).
How would I go about fixing this issue?
Thanks!
EDIT: I now noticed that ping is also 10-15 higher than on other devices.

Well firstly the most obvious thing to do is to try and count out the rom as problem or identify it as the problem. Have you tried other roms yet or just assuming its the rom??
Flash back to previous rom see if you have same problem. Also try some others as well.
If it's only the DN3 rom then use the search box and search the DN3 thread and if you cant find any reports/discussions reply to the topic see if anybody knows issue/solution.

I've tried 4.4.2 stock and it was the same, however 4.3 is still about 20% faster and seems more stable...
Anything I can do to make it as fast as 4.3 while I'm on 4.4.2?

I used the baltic (SEB) firmware, but it was one flashable file, and I have no idea how to extract the modem from it. Kinda scared to brick the device, too, so I'd rather not do anything without guidance
