Hey everyone,
So I have my myn 2.2 set up perfectly and I would like to keep it that way. Is there any way to set up the Rom or SD card to allow for a dual booting system? I would really like to experiment with other time and then be able to get back to my normal Rom quickly.

Nope. The best you can do is a nandroid backup of your current setup...test out another rom, and restore myn's to go back to your original setup

Alright thanks. Kind of a bummer, but what ever.

EVO 4G Android Development ?
Q&A please
I do it manually via RA1.80 /recovery.
I do it manually with cwm

It would be nice if it didn't list rom's that are hboot specific

The only thing I use it for is to switch between clockwork and ra easier

I use it. Makes flashing roms easier.
When I was an android noob I used it.
Its good to have when you are on the go and dont feel like looking up info on roms and need a quick way to change. And to change to ra

Flashing ROMs is easy enough on it's own, so I prefer to do it manually. Like others, I only use ROM manager when switching recoveries.
Like others, I used it more when I first started flashing roms but moved away from it when I realized I wanted more control and didn't flash the roms on rom manager.

I would like to use it if it's base were to be Amon RA.

Ok so most of us by now know how to back up our wimax partition and or keys. My question is now that we have this back up mine is in form of wimax.img what are actual steps to restore this in case our wimax gets ruined?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Keep the good wimax.img and put it in the nandroid you want to restore, overwrite the old one with the good one and then proceed to restore, make sure amon ra is 1.8 or higher

That simple? Thanks . Gonna go save a nandroid on to my computer just in case SD card gets corrupt.

Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Makes sense and hopefully its that simple if I ever have to do this

Do we run it on top of CM7? I tried it solo, and on top of a clean install of Synergy. I know its Cyan/AOSP based, but when I ripped it apart its not a complete Rom.

What are you trying to do?

I think this "God Mode",from what I found, after searching for almost an hour. I wanted to flash to see if there were any performance gains to had on my device. It has almost a 350mb system image. Every time that I've tried to flash it,on a full wipe,it hasn't gotten past the splash screen.

Can you post a link to where this synergy/cm7/godmode comes from? Are you talking about the godmode kernel?
It's on/in Virus' website

Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
Isn't miui considered aosp? And aren't all the versions stable?
I didn't help at all
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App

Question: did you properly wipe EVERYTHING except for SD card? Did you flash a tweaks or kernels? Did you delete any apks?
Just want to make sure

Click the link in my sig for flashing ROMS. It's made for MIUI especially, and do it that way.
Wiped everything used twrps wipe all and went into mount and wiped from there

I've run into issues using TWRP. Still in its infancy. Try AmonRa 2.3. Just want to test if it'll work there
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
Which build did you try. Where did you download from. The best port is the miui.us port by stiffspliff.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
yeha MIUI will work w.o any issues. If you do have issues then its on you, not MIUI. None the less they are all stable, just some have issues. The newest on 8.19 is pretty good. Most until this last friday, were all using 8.5
Ok check this out. I'm using the normal cleangb rom, but I want to reinstall it again to check on some light functionality issues. Now if I reinstall it, is my current data setup going to be erased? I don't need to wipe anything to do this right? Considering I'm just reinstalling the same rom I'm using.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
Make a backup and advance restore the data but yeah you should do a clean wipe.
Sent From My Cyan Samurai
Ok, but when I go to advanced restore, what exactly do I select? Cuz the last time I went in there, it gave me like 3 different options and I really didn't know which to select. It said like media or data or something to that nature.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
Advanced restore data.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
Ok..got. thanks guys for ur help. Ill do it as soon as I get a chance.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
Ok, I reinstalled, and it didn't change anything of my data. Now let's see how this thing acts now.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
Also, remember to download versions 1.0 and 1.03 and try them both. 1.0 works better on my phone.
