It would be nice if it didn't list rom's that are hboot specific

I use it. Makes flashing roms easier.
When I was an android noob I used it.
Its good to have when you are on the go and dont feel like looking up info on roms and need a quick way to change. And to change to ra

Flashing ROMs is easy enough on it's own, so I prefer to do it manually. Like others, I only use ROM manager when switching recoveries.
Like others, I used it more when I first started flashing roms but moved away from it when I realized I wanted more control and didn't flash the roms on rom manager.

I would like to use it if it's base were to be Amon RA.

Are you referring to the oneclick app that was developed for the droid? I vaguely remember that it stopped working after android 2.2 aside from the fact that it was only working with a few htc and moto droid phones excluding the droid X.
EDIT: http://www.intomobile.com/2010/08/0...app-for-motorola-droid-droid-x-and-milestone/
it seems that it was pulled from the market either way. I'm thinking a large amount of n00bs decided to be idiots with this app and ended up bricking their phones, which would be good enough cause for the app to be pulled.
No I didn't think it would be that easy I was thinking about using an app to use adb or something

Do we run it on top of CM7? I tried it solo, and on top of a clean install of Synergy. I know its Cyan/AOSP based, but when I ripped it apart its not a complete Rom.

I think this "God Mode",from what I found, after searching for almost an hour. I wanted to flash to see if there were any performance gains to had on my device. It has almost a 350mb system image. Every time that I've tried to flash it,on a full wipe,it hasn't gotten past the splash screen.

Can you post a link to where this synergy/cm7/godmode comes from? Are you talking about the godmode kernel?
It's on/in Virus' website

I've run into issues using TWRP. Still in its infancy. Try AmonRa 2.3. Just want to test if it'll work there
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
Which build did you try. Where did you download from. The best port is the miui.us port by stiffspliff.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
yeha MIUI will work w.o any issues. If you do have issues then its on you, not MIUI. None the less they are all stable, just some have issues. The newest on 8.19 is pretty good. Most until this last friday, were all using 8.5
Are there more apps in the paid version of rom manager or what makes it worth the money.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
No it will let you download cm nifhtlies thats about it , its mostly to give the dev some money for his work the only thing most people use it for is to fix permissions.

Other than fixing permissions, ROM manager is not really so great and has caused some problems from some people using it to flash ROMS, etc...
I've this issue with the email client on my EVO. I've tried different roms and it always force close after a day or so of use. Notification works when an email arrives but it force close when I open the client.Removing the account and add it againg fix it but only for the same period of time. Don't know what else can I do. Any ideas?

Assuming you have a smelkus recovery, boot to recovery and open the other menu and fix permissions. See if that helps
I've fix permissions with clockworkMod recovery and it didn't help. Just did it again. I'll post the results.

Use an amon Ra based recovery. Clockwork doesn't work properly.
Will do once I get home. Thanks for the quick replies.
