Wimax partition question - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok so most of us by now know how to back up our wimax partition and or keys. My question is now that we have this back up mine is in form of wimax.img what are actual steps to restore this in case our wimax gets ruined?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App

Keep the good wimax.img and put it in the nandroid you want to restore, overwrite the old one with the good one and then proceed to restore, make sure amon ra is 1.8 or higher

[Q]How to set up dual boot.

Hey everyone,
So I have my myn 2.2 set up perfectly and I would like to keep it that way. Is there any way to set up the Rom or SD card to allow for a dual booting system? I would really like to experiment with other time and then be able to get back to my normal Rom quickly.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
Nope. The best you can do is a nandroid backup of your current setup...test out another rom, and restore myn's to go back to your original setup

Alright thanks. Kind of a bummer, but what ever.

SDCard

I have a 16G memory card and it reads 12G used and 3.3 G remaining. I have about 3G if games from gameloft and barely 1G of pics 3.4G of backup data. When I select to see what apps are on sdcard it had a list of games and everyone of them gives me the option to move to usb storage. I've
Deleted a lot of stuff especially videos and pics and it seems like my memory card its congested. Do I need to format it to get it empty?

I'd hookup to PC and browse through files there, delete things you don't need like old roms and leftover garbage from old apps and see if that helps. Old nandroids take up a lot of space too.

Just google lost.dir and see what pops up. From my understanding in doing that a while back, this is kind of like a recycling bin area. I'm sure someone else on here can explain it in greater detail. I check that folder and delete it every now and again when I see it filling up. The phone will create that folder again on the next reboot.

The only folder on your sd card u need is your Android folder cuz thats wat holds your data...

Never mind. To copy apps you need access to the system folder which means you would need to root.

you could odin a custom recovery image, boot into recovery and create a nad of your phone and then dropbox it for safe keeping. Flash the original recovery - i think i saw it in the development threat - and check the flash counter to see if you tripped it... if you did then you'll have to follow the instructions in the dev thread on how to reset everything to stock, it'll take a bit of the search function and some reading but should be releatively easy.
