Just rooted my wifes epic a last night and installed the latest version of bonsai...i've rooted my evo & very familiar with everything...however, her epic will go from 75% battery life plugged in to 15% unplugged within minutes...I've double checked that the modem baseband is EC05...What else should I check?

This is while on? Not using quick boot right? Bonsai 4.0.1? Try clearing battery stats. Charge battery to full, then charge again to full with phone off. Boot into Clockwork Mod and go to advanced and clear Battery Stats. That should do it.
Do you BONSAI?

Has any body had this issue on the epic that battery is like 50% or something % and for whatever reason the phone just starts messing up and so you reboot and when it finally reboots the "conect your charger" comes on and battery is like less than 10%. Also notice that if the phone is on ill get the blue led that the phone I fully charged and if I shut it down the battery that comes out when phnes is off will show like half way. Any body know wtf is going on?
Try erasing the battery stats from the advanced menu in CWM. Letting your phone's battery drain, then charging it back to 100% WHILE ITS ON. Thats should "recalibrate" your battery. Did you just flash a new rom/kernal?

I've done this before but it doesn't seem to do anything. I'm using cwm3, so that might be it. Just wished there was amon ra on the epic as cwm is a pos.
So yesterday I flashed the clean kernel 1.03d via cwm 3.0.2.5 and today I notcied that my battery percentage icon is misleading me. One second it was 56%, then turned the screen off for a while, but when I came back to my phone it said 57%. Has this happened to anyone, and how do I fix these readings?
Do I just go into cwm and wipe the battery stats and reboot, or what?
Thanks.

That's happened to me before. I found shutting the phone down. Taking the battery out for like 30 seconds and then powering back up helped. Charging back up to 100 percent fixed it completely for me.

Alright thanks. My battery's been draining like hell lately anyway. I'm just gonna odin to the EB13 modem tomorrow and see if that does it.
Big drops in battery can happen when the modem locks up and the phone starts getting hot. And if you use the reboot option it will drop from say 50% to 8% (just had that happen, but Im testing other things not in my ROM),and then if you power off it will come back to maybe 48%... I cant call this one, because it happens on diffrent ROMs/kernels...

Ok so I've been trying to figure this out for the past couple weeks but I finally decided to look for some help..
My OEM battery wasnt always chafing so I decided to buy a new one online (same OEM 1500mAh) then I put my new battery in, go into recovery and wipe batt stats, flash tiamat SBC kernel and continue using my phone...well after a couple days I realized that my phone wasn't trickle charging all the way to 0 it would either trickle to about 10 and then hold or it would start discharging while it was still on the charger like I didn't have SBC....I've tried different kernel versions, continuously wiping batt stats and making sure my phone isn't doing anything strange and nothing
I'm currently running the latest MIUI rom with tiamat 3.3.3 with SBC...oh and this also happened when I was running CM7...any input is appreciated

When you wipe battery stats are you at 100%? Then let it discharge until it's almost dead? If not, do it again, after it discharges fully, charge it to 100% again without any breaks in charging.

Yea I just did that n it seems 2 help out just letting u know
I don't believe you need to wipe battery stats on sbc. But I could be wrong. I would suggest dl the kernel again and reflash.

welcome all who see this. alright, my phone is rooted, and i went to upgrade to gingerbread and i used the mikg rom 2.5:1-2. unfortunately i erased the battery stats not paying attention and talking. from then....the phone battery never charges.....even when plugged in it constantly sinks to nothing. even when i charged it turned off for 6 hours, it never gets past 15% HELP! i have tried to rewipe the battery stats, but i only get past draining the battery, because now it wont fully charge. i even bought an extended battery which also drains, but never charges! i am not sure what to do to get battery stats up to par, or to cause this phone to charge any battery! CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP! (much appreciated)
im a noob here so i really dont know what im talking about but i had almost the same problem when i bought my extended battery from sprint. first day of use was really good and when i went to charge the next time as soon as i unplugged the charger after a full charge the % would drop soo much...i was getting like 10 hrs which isnt much with an extended battery. i updated to mikg 2.53 and wiped the cache and all the usual and the battery stats and its seem to workin now 1d 4h 54m on battery....hopefully this helps
Use an external wall charger or a different phone to fully charge the battery. Then insert the battery and immediately wipe battery stats.
Should fix the problem.
Using an sbc kernel will allow you to fully charge the battery as well. Use something like Battery Monitor Widget to keep an eye on your charge - 4200mv is fully charged.

It almost sounds like a problem with the phone. I wipe battery stats everytime I flash a new Rom and I've never had problems. You might want to see if the battery will charge on someone else's phone first.

Hello I have a question about how I can reset my battery. I just flashed a new rom and my battery was around 70 ish percent, so I made another backup file of my new rom. After I completed the backup and renooted my phone the battery life showed itsef at 100% ans sees to die really fast. Is there anyway to return it to normal?

Charge to phone to 100%, boot into recovery, wipe battery stats, reboot into the phone. Use the phone til it completely dies, i.e. manually power off, then charge it back to 100%. If you undervolting or using other mods and your charging led blinks, its okay, it'll do that for a minute and turn solid. Again, charge it to 100% and you'll be good.
Only wipe battery stats when u are at 100% charge.
