Hi guys,
This is what has been happening to me. Last night while charging my phone, I noticed my phone was extremely hot and noticed the phone did an automatic reboot and it got stuck on the LG symbol, so I took out the battery, and put it back in after it cooled down. I turned it on and it seemed fine and since it had full battery I left it on my desk without charging.
Today I was watching a video on lazy worm youtube app and it did a restart and I got an error message that stated something about my sim card or memory card malfunctioned (sorry can’t remember) and gave me an option to turn off or another option which I can’t remember. Then after restarting it worked fine and went back into the app and in the middle of the video the same random reboot happened but this time it didn’t give any error.
Just right now as I was syncing my phone on my pc everything was fine and i left it tethered to my pc after syncing and continued with my work then ANOTHER random reboot. So I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. Is there any solutions, or what should I do? Thanks.
Your mainboard is dying. This is a relatively well documented issue on the LG Optimus 7 forum (scroll down a bit, eh?)...and the most likely fix is to send it in for service.
ah thanks! will check it out

So, I left my Artemis in my RAM Aqua Box waterproof phone case attached to my motorcycle while I ran into the store.
I came out, started the bike and started the ride home. That was when I noticed the white screen and my tunes had stopped playing. I've seen it happen before (while turning off the phone in camera mode, etc), but a simple soft reset always fixed it. Not this time...
For two days now I've flashed it back to factory, installed my latest ROM (twice), reconfigured all my settings, etc, only to have the phone seize up by fading to the White Screen Of Death. The only fix is to remove the battery and let it sit for a bit. I have found however I can get the phone to run longer if I put it in the freezer for 15 mins, then it runs as it should until it warms up.
Sometimes it will work for half a day, other times it will fade out even before the soft reset boots up again. It really doesn't like being plugged in to charge or sync.
Now for some more background info. It did get deathly hot in the case I have because it has a clear face, is sealed, and it was sunny. Also, I started the bike when the phone was plugged in. I've heard this is bad for the charging circuit, but I'm leaning to the overheating as being the seminal event of the start of my sorrows because I've started the bike/truck many times with the phone plugged in. Did my luck run out?
What have I done, and how do I fix it?
i have had a white screen problem on my phone to it would go like this when just left on or when wanting to flash it in boot mode i have taken both sim card and memory card out and i have found that the memory care is curupted and works fine now will have to formate the memory card in order for it to work properly in the phone again

Yes, you can remove your memory card.
Just had similar problem. Possible reason: ROM update. Possible solution - ROM changed again (different) and hard reset. Hopefully everything will be ok. Until now (9 hours) - it is!

Even I was facing the same problem. I did hard reset couple if times and didn't find a solution. So finally I gave the phone to the service center and it seems now it's been fixed. I will ask the service guys about the actual problem and would post it here.
It may help someone.
Now I am going to try android on my phone, wish me luck.

Rajesh

Did U ask the service guy abt the screen problem
Hello friends. recently my galaxy S3 stopped working while it was charging one day. here is what happend when it suddenly stopped working . I picked it up to send a message to a friend on facebook, after that i tossed my phone down on my pillow and i went back to doing what i was doing. about an hour or so went by and i decided to check my phone again to see if my friend replied. it was then i noticed that the phone was off for some reason. i thought that was kind of weird and just figured maybe it glitched out and just turned itself off or something. i attempted to turn the phone on and it did not respond, but for some reason when i shake the phone or something it would turn on. when its plugged into the charger it doesnt show the charging screen either. occasionally the red light at the top left corner of the device will light up like its charging but then it will turn off again and when it does turn on randomly it doesn't go past the samsung S3 screen when it is booting up. The phone is currently rooted as well but i dont think that has anything to do with my current issue. i just took the phone apart right now to check the motherboard to see if anything was wrong with it or maybe it was dirty ect and when i put the phone back together i actually got it to charge for a moment but i couldn't get it to turn on. ive looked up some videos on youtube about this issue but i couldn't find any info really about it.
so to be clear these are the things i have tried
1. tried to boot it into download mode and recovery mode with no luck.
2. checked to see if it was a hardware issue and everything looked ok.
3. swapped batteries still with no luck.
i dug a little deeper after posting this thread and found out my issue could be what is called SDS (sudden death syndrome) the one thing i didnt find out is if im completely screwed and need a new phone or not. i took it down to my local samsung store here in L.A. and they already turned me down because the phone was rooted and they could tell it was because my phone has a different bootup then normal.
so if anyone could help me out that would be awesome and i would be super grateful. thanks in advance

Hello there. I have to write this again becuase the last topic I wrote didnt get posted...
I have a big problem with my G3 and I have tried everything I could but nothing helped so I hope you can help me.
First of all my phone is only stock. I didnt try rooting it or installing custom roms on it.
Heres the whole story of what happened:
A week ago my phone started to act strangely. When I tried turning the wifi off it restarted or froze for a bit and then went on normaly as if nothing happened. I didnt even have to input my pin. Then one day I got home and the phone simply started reseting itself constantly. Always loaded up to the pin screen but I didnt even have time to input the pin and it reset it self again. This went on for like 15 reset before I lost patience and pulled the battery which didnt help at all since after being turned back on it went back to the reseting. I found online that it was probably a battery problem but I was impatient (shipping to my country is over 2 weeks and buying a battery in stores here costs twice the normal price of a genuine battery but only for a "fake" battery) so I factory reseted it via power button+volume down. After that it worked normally but I lost all my data.
The day after this I spilled ice tea on the phone. I opened it, cleaned it and let it dry out. Turned it on after an hour of drying and it worked but after maybe 2 hours it began freezing. When I tapped on the screen it didnt react, when I pressed the power button it took more then 10 seconds to react to it. It turned on, didnt react to touch and then in mere seconds it went dark and then turned off. I couldnt even unlock the screen. Tried pulling the battery but then it wouldnt even turn on. It stayed on the LG logo. I left it on the logo and on the charger and after an hour or so it turned on and worked normally so I took it apart and cleaned it once more even under the screws and such and it worked after that. Until today.
The freezing problem returned. I was playing a game on it and chatting via messenger when the phone stopped reacting. I had signal, wifi, I got new notifications and basically everything on it worked but the screen didnt react to touch and when pressing the power button it took over 10 seconds to light up the screen, then it went darker and then it shut down. Couldnt do anything. After I pulled the battery it would get stuck in a boot loop for maybe 10-15 minutes and then load but the phone couldnt be used. Just as before the screen turned on with a delay but no reaction to touch whatsoever.
I tried factory reset, downgrading to a lower android version (from 6 to 4) with LGUP and lg flash tool, and I bought a new battery. Nothing worked. I managed to get it to android 4 but that didnt help either. I though it was a problem with 6 because the problem started after the update, before that I didnt have a single problem with my phone.
Now its in a state where it doesnt work. The phone is running, apps are upgrading after the factory reset and all that but I cant do anything with it. Once in a while it will work normally as if nothing but that is rare.
Could you please help ? I love this phone and I dont want to have to sell it for spare parts.
EDIT: I left the phone running to see what would happen an after several hours an error message appeared saying "Process system isnt responding". After pressing ok it worked fine. How can I fix this. I googled it but all I found was a problem with sd card (none is inside), with battery (I have a new one) and with rooting (mines not rooted).
I was just wondering if anyone else has an issue with their Note 4 rebooting randomly with no external input. This started happening with the Android 6.0 update both on the download from here and the AT&T official release, Any Ideas? I've already purchased a new battery due to a separate issue, any idea?
I had the same problem. The phone would freeze and randomly reboot. Sometimes the system crashes and asked me for the typed-in password (not fingerprint). Sometimes when I charge the phone, and unplug the power cable, the charging led stays lit and the battery has to be pulled. I decided to switch the battery with my wife's Note 4 and see if the effects remained. So far I haven't had any problems after switching the battery, so I believe the battery may be the cause of all these issues. I'll keep you updated on the issues.
I'm back. The battery replacement didn't fix the reboots. I think my phone's hardware is permanently damaged. :crying:
have you downgraded?
and can you help me with my problem?[

I'm downgrading to stock 5.1.1 right now. I'll keep you updated. I placed an order for a Galaxy S7 Edge International Version (G935F) yesterday.

can you downgrade to Android 5.0.1 and help me with my problem?
its something completely different to this topic
I've been having the same issue, started about 2 weeks ago. phone would start being sluggish then if I continue tapping on screen, it'll reboot. At least once I saw it go into recovery & reinstall firmware(?). Another time it just sat at the bootloader screen waiting for software download or something till I took out the battery. Most likely it's a software issue related to 6.0 update or updates afterwards. taking out the SD card helped a bit.
but basically got annoyed & upgraded to LG V20 today. Coincidentally, there was another person at the AT&T store with a Note 4 having the same issue.
Mine just rebooted twice on me a while ago, first is emergency calls only now the reboots then what. And yes the slow charging is a problem too. MM got serious issue dam att

use wakelock its an app u get it from play store.it makes ur cpu always running.some how it fixes the problem of random reboots. dl it and set it to partial lock (the 5th option)
Same problem. Just started a few weeks ago. REALLY frustrating having to enter my password every 3-4 minutes. NEVER buying another Samsung, too many damn issues with this phone.
My reboots tend to happen once the phone goes below 60% battery. It's fine above 60%. Once it goes below 50%, the reboots tend to happen with any intense network activity. The phone will often go from 50% to 22%. I forgot what the 30's and 40's look like. I will try the Wakelock app.
Ugh. I posted about this a few weeks ago. It's started happening more frequently and will occasionally go into a boot loop or show 0% battery even though there's a charge.
Has anyone found any solution? I haven't tried wiping / resetting but I'm getting close to trying it.
Here is a cautionary tale for you. My completely stock, unroooted phone started acting the same exact way. On the 4th or 5th battery pull (to fix a frozen screen) it just crapped out. It's totally unresponsive. Deader than a door nail. Tried everything. The download mode, discharging by power button depression/battery removal, etc. Adb shell command does not detect it. Nor Odin. Computer throws up a qhsusb_bulk error when I plug it into pc. I have NO CLUE how to fix it & I am desperately seeking a solution. Please proceed wisely with your oddly acting phones & don't let this happen to you.

Same issue. Just got off the phone with Samsung support, all possibility of having this particular phone with this particular issue sent in for evaluation has been suspended. Translation, they know it is an issue and will not stand by the changes they push to their products (latest OS). I am researching the prospect of legal action since THEY pushed the new OS against my request. Shouldn't that affect the warranty or coverage? Consulting my attorney friends as we speak. Will let you know. I am not sure how WakeLock will help, it is not going to sleep, it is repeatedly power cycling through a kernel process until the battery overheats or it reboots.
Same issue
Since Marshmallow, my 910A will get sluggish or freeze, shut down, sometimes reboot and sometimes just brick (temporarily). Sometimes--more often in recent days, I get a "dll_mmc read fail" message and the target that says do not stop downloading. No matter what I've tried--factory and soft resets, cache clearing, battery pull, replacement, and SD card switch, contacting AT&T and Samsung rep--it doesn't seem to change. This is a daily issue and becoming more frequent. Any suggestions or do I just need a new phone? Thank you.
Hello friends,
I’m new to this forum (or, any forum, really) and in desperate need of help.
Hopefully I'm posting this correctly.
In 2017 (I think) my mom bought a Nexus 5X phone. All was well, until suddenly it broke in 2019 and she had to get a replacement. There were a lot of pictures and videos on there (no SD card was used) that we do not have a back up of. (I know, that’s a big mistake...)
What happened: it just suddenly turned off and didn’t turn on anymore. When I tried to figure out what was happening, the only response the phone gave when I plugged it into my PC was a blinking red led underneath the screen. I figured the issue must’ve been with the battery. After a while, it didn't even do that anymore - not a single response was given.
It took me until 2020 to try to replace the battery with a new one. I think I managed to replace it successfully, carefully using two YouTube tutorials. When I held the original battery in my hand, I could bend it easily, so I expected that would solve the issue. But the phone didn’t give a single response to my efforts.
I also tried heating the phone as instructed in this video (with subs):
Again, without any success.
Since I didn’t want to give up on the stuff that is on that phone (precious memories of my cat who passed away at the end of 2020, for example), I randomly tried tinkering with it again a few days ago.
When I plugged it into my computer again, suddenly the red led started blinking again... And a few moments later, the Android logo lit up. Then the screen turned black again.
I noticed that when the phone was plugged in, my PC made this noise that recognizes something is in fact plugged in. However, it didn’t recognize the device.
After trying multiple times to hold down a few buttons, I first managed to get a screen that said “Firmware update”. It disappeared after a while, and showed a Google logo. I don’t remember exactly, but I think the time after that when I pushed the on/off button, the phone actually turned on and I could use it.
I could see all pictures were still on there. I immediately tried to copy them onto my pc but before I could do that, the phone shut off again and connection with my PC was lost. Battery was charged to about 70%.
I managed to reboot it a few times, but the time it stayed on became shorter and shorter. I wanted to try the debugging method and recover data that way, but it simply didn’t give me the time to do so.
A few days later, I still get the red blinking light and sometimes the android screen or a battery loading screen. Other than that, I can’t turn it on or get into safety mode, or anything like that. It *does* still connect to my PC, but doesn’t recognize the device.
TLDR; Nexus 5X shows blinking red light, doesn’t turn on and if it does, it almost immediately turns off again even after replacing its battery. All I really want is a way to recover the photos and videos that are on the device.
If anyone has any leads or tips that could be of help, they are most welcome.
