@geraldo3: This is a nice attempt, but IMO, it really doesn't talk about WM6. It talks about other apps that can be installed on any WMx OS. It doesn't bring up many of the differences between WM5 and 6, and while it talks about how powerful the OS is, I find you're really not using any of the native apps that it includes (no problem, neither am I), so how "powerful" is THAT?
When you named your device "dopey" (a common synonym for "stupid"), I thought you were going to be detailing how the changes between WM5 and WM6 are only minor ... no real modifications to the OS programs, outside of some very minor aesthetics. No enhancement of the calendar, contacts, pie, task management, basic ui, media player, etc. Many of the "bugs" that were in WM5 still exist in WM6. But your article is mostly complimentary, instead. Left me a bit puzzled.
Yes, IMO, there are many reasons to call WM6 "dopey". The only things I really find are some slight speed improvements, and few UI changes (that some people like and some hate), and, depending on the ROM, a bit more stability. It's the ROM cookers here that have made the OS CONSIDERABLY faster, and have given us back some storage and program space, to boot. IMO, WM6 really should have been called WM5.1.
On an editorial side, you've written pretty well, but you do need to check some of your grammar, sentence structure, etc, if professional writing is your goal. If not, don't worry about it ... you have gotten your points across well enough. One thing you might consider (if you haven't already), is removal of the personal details in your screen shots. The Internet can be a nasty place at times, and you need to be careful (but maybe you made sure all the data shown is false).
Anyway, that's it for my comments. Thanks for sharing!

Good for a Blogger. I would say battery drain comes from SPB and the Radio you are using as you made it sound like wm 6 is the problem.

no problem dude. Trust me, I know how it feels to be a noob but if your not even going to be specific or atleast be cooperative, how's that going to help? Yeah, i don't understand what he requires as well. That's good - Keep up the good work in regards to helping others. You never know who could help you, right?

Oh ok, well if you downloaded the newest Rom which is the one in my signature located below (version 23) you can go to tools folder and go to extras and mess around from there like make it slim, transparent, and change the clock and font and all. Hope this helps.

Please, be specific as to what you want done so that you can get Dev's that can actually do what you want!

It sounds to me like he's trying to develop an app and has some problems, so I'd imagine he does know what he wants. Sounds like he just doesn't want someone pinching his idea.

We cannot help you without any information though. You have to give us something or you're on your own mate. There's plenty of people that will help, but with nothing to go on we can't.

ok the things i need help with is 3 bugs that i have and cabfile problem i have with my app/theme.The bugs that i have is that the battery icon i made for my phone only works in the startmenu but the homescreen and one the battery icon doesn't do nothing all it does is when you are charging the battery it will just flashback back infourth but nothing is wrong with that it suppose to do that to tell that it is charging is just that the homescreen one battery icon not draining its just staying the same at full but when you go to start menu it works fine why is it doing this can someone fix this and for the next problem is that i cant seem to put the files into one cab file in install to myphone you always have to seperate them or in differentway u have to install them one by one just dont like doing that plus when people use this i dont want them to have to go look for them and constantly telling me where the cab files are at and the next problem i want to improve the htc theme texture to make is look more 3d and improve the clock to alittle more but not letting me or im not doing somthing right to change the codes to let me plz help.IF you want to take a look at the files you can follow this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=654166 THe files you should look for is these files HTC Diamond Home.cab,Standard HTCHome Edition.cab ,WindowHtc AnimatedCharge text.cab,wm6battery_solid_qvga.cab,Winjack Project! nice that so many people like this rom! I uploaded it here: http://www.mediafire.com/?bdujmn0ji5d4dcb to share with you and to please elelinux. He complained it causes too much traffic and i think it cost those guys money, having haevy traffic.
This rom is just great. Great battery life, stylish, fast and stable. It includes a file explorer which makes it easy to install all you akp right away, everything just works, plus some nice goodies.
So for all of you complaining about me sharing this here on XDA: I love XDA, you guys do a great job!

Hmm. Seems that the author of this rom closed down the download links, cause you posted it here on XDA. His FTP is not made for that many connections.

running it - VERY NICE ROM. I had to try it - worth it. I do'nt know if it's better than the other two of my current favs (froyd 1.2.X and HWMNBN 0.2) but it's right up there with them without question.

I was lucky then, I managed to download and install it, so far so good,
only I miss the dialer application in sense, I remember there is something similar for vanilla but can't just find it... someone can help me?!

or nubdialer, almost exactly the same but with fewer features (edit: ok, different features would be more fair maybe?). some people choose their product based on reasons other than features, such as license (open source), or their favorite dev.

Yes it does not have ščćđ...... fonts. You have to change the sistem font.

Yes I agree with the open source comment, but this is very misleading and unclear. There are no credits or any other important information to avoid confusion. For a start the title says DOC...therefore users would automatically think its directly from doc, when this is not the case. And secondly the paste should create a different title and then post the necessary details in the thread.

But that's a mistake, something that can be fixed easily by adding a few extra lines in the title. However, some member seems to have it wrapped around their head that no one else should be allowed to modify Doc's ROM and release a different version of it (Yes, I am pointing my finger at SOMEONE).

then the poster should edit that asap. I am all for open source - Beauty comes with freedom.
But my main point is... if there is something wrong with this rom along with the title...is the poster going to accept responsibility and provide advice and assistance ? or will the users of this misleading thread rush across and spam for help.. and again who would help ? Cause i damn sure wont because for one..i dont even know what this rom consists of, what is inside, and features and so on..
that is my main argument... the poster should make it clear and not misleading... or its gonna cause problems mainly for users when supposedly phones start getting bricked etc..

The open source doesn't mean you can fix someone's effort without his permission. Maybe Pepi just want to make this ROM better, but please don't use the product number 7.6.2.1 , it was very easy to let user confusing the vendor of ROM.

please put more info, credit listing and all that in the first post.
also, please ask doc / kalpik and whoever is involved in your "remake" of the rom for permissions before proceeding, it's just good gesture.

If you're pointing at me, you don't know what my argument is.. I am all for opensource.. But creating 10000001 same ROMs just by changing theme and keyboards absolutely makes no sense, and serves to just fragment the users/help/issues/support/bugs etc.. Just because you *can* do something doesn't mean you *should*..

Sorry Kalpik. I didn't mean you at all. My apologies if I caused any bad feelings.
I am just annoyed at some users who seem to have a habit of walking into every single thread that's about a modification of Doc's rom and telling the developer to basically stop whatever him/her is doing. Argue, yes, discuss yes, but don't just drop a line or two telling the developer to stop.

No need for sorry mate, basically no one wants anyone to have spent few hundred of whatever currency on a super dupa SGS, and just end up bricking there bundle of joy because of someones error, ignorance or whatever..
