EP900 battery charger compatible with ARC ? - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, according to mobilefun website the EP900 battery charger is compatible with the ATC but I'm not really sure it is the truth. Does somebody have any idea about that ?
Best regards

The SE site doesn't list the Arc as being compatible.
But the list of compatible handsets is far from comprehensive - it lists the Vivaz/Viaz Pro but not the X8, despite the fact they all use the same battery meaning they must all be compatible.
To be sure, your best bet would be to contact SE directly and ask...

SE answered no. But i'm not quite confidant as their Customer service is quite poor. I Will sait confirmation.
Best regards

It is not compatible. Arc battery is too big to fit. An X10 battery is the largest to fit. I have both the charger and an X10.

Ok thanks. It was what I was wondering. Thanks for your feedback.

EP952 AND EP920 works with arc...

what do you mean by xperia arc s is not outdated? I mean, is it a good phone?
Go for it...
Well, since you are posting in Xperia Arc/S subforum, I don't know how much "objective" answers you can get, but nevermind, here is my answer.
I bought my Arc S about month and 1/2 ago, and I'm ultra satisfied with this phone, design-wise and function-wise...
I was in love with this phone since it was announced, and now when I own one, I'm in love even more.
What you will get, is one of the most beautifully and originally designed phone on market, if not the most beautiful and original. I'm afraid that this is the last brave and risk-taking design in smartphone market, but only time will tell.
Hardware-wise, you will get a little bit outdated hardware (heh, who could imagine year ago that we will speak about 1.4GHz mobile processors as "outdated"), but capable enough to run Gingerbread ultra smoothly, and to run recent ICS updates tolerably fast. After all, you will have phone with official SONY branded ICS, and it will not feel outdated at all. I don't know how big your budget is, but my vote goes for Arc S, as it is killer design-wise, and to me it looks much better than new NXT Xperia 2012 line.
Its a nice phone
At the same price you can find a galaxy s 2...choose that, there is a really more active ROM development support...
Then I own an arc s...and for gaming is ****. The same games work flawlessly on the galaxy s 2...

Hey.. I also switched to SE from Nexus S.. And I can tell you, you wont be happy with Xperia 2011 family.. Its got the same hardware as Nexus S and is a bit outdated. Also the development is far less in these devices than we find in the Nexus Forum.. You'll better chose Galaxy Nexus which comes with the same price tag as the Arc/S..

Pros: The best designed phone out there. No manufacturer (not even Sony) can come up with such a beauty ever again.
Music is great, Sound output is terrific and in-call sound is audible even in noisy environments.
OS look and feel is terrific and it offers plenty of features (DLNA, HDMI, built in panaroma) that many phones lack.
Cons: Hardware. The OS is painfully slow. Even gingerbread is not upto the mark. many on this forum have completely forgotten that the contact/messaging hangups occured in 2.3 as well. After ICS update, the phone became terribly laggy that we started believing that GB worked well. Trust me, once you fill up your phone memory with apps, the phone will die from inside! Ever wonder why people run after custom ROMS even though Sony's official UI offers more features?
Camera: Still camera is decent but the phone is just not made to shoot HD videos. Give it a pass. With ICS update, camera performance has degraded.
Final words. Go get yourself a phone with latest hardware. Sony Xperia S/P may not look as pretty from outside but they do exceptionally well from inside. The UI is new and phone supports many other features (All 3.5mm headphones are supported/NFC etc etc).
If your budget allows, try HTC One X, Galaxy Nexus or Galaxy S3.
Or wait for the 2012-13 series of Xperia phones with S4 processor.

Looks like Sony have answered your/our prayers! the new Xperia line has arc design and better build quality and the benchmarks are now showing them as better performers than most flagships out there. The Dual Core S4 has an upper hand over Quad Cores. Go get yourself an Xperia T/TX. Xperia V is overpriced.
No one can beat Sony in design!
+1 , Xperia TX has the same design as Arc S (well at least it is curved as the Arc S) and its processor looks to be promising !!
Will be my next phone by the way, just waiting for it to reach the market ^^
I agree totally with everything you said,it might not be the newest phone but it's so customizable!!, keeping it up to date.

i don't really play much
Then go for Arc S. Problem solved...
You won't find prettier phone.
I have a newest Ics update and i's not slow or laggy. Camera quality compared to gb is better ( sony resolved over compression problem ), video is the same, only audio is worse cause mono but i's not a big difference. I'm not a game player so for me it's a decent upgrade after htc desire...

[Q] Ion in the UK

hi there
its about time i upgraded from my HTC Desire, and I thought I had decided on the Xperia T, but then there is all the stuff with LTE etc..
the main reasons for upgrading are wanting a decent camera to take snaps and videos. and it to be a bit more powerful.
so I have found an Xperia Ion on eBay here in the UK for 40 or so £ less than the T, its the LT28i version so has the LTE, but only comes with Gingerbread.
my question is (are)
can i stick ICS on it without any problems - there is a post on the Xperria blog that seems to say it goes on there fin (xperiablog.net/2012/09/14/xperia-ion-lte-lt28i-android-4-0-4-ics-update-starts-rolling-out/[/url]) (why does it even come with Gingerbread which is very out of date indeed)
it will work in the UK presumably ?
is it that much worse than the Xperia T
as I am coming from an old Desire - which I love to bits, so any upgrade will be an improvement.
not sure if I should post the ebay link on here so I wont but suffice to say I searched for 'xperia ion lt28i' on ebay uk and it was the second one down
any help, thoughts much appreciated
thanks

Hi there, I have an Ion too and live in the UK. If you go on PC companion then it will detect that it has an update and that is the Ice Cream Sandwhich! I bought my Ion in Indonesia but atm it's broken and I can't turn it on (((( been like this for a week but before it happened, I updated it to ice cream sandwhich and it was glorious
and just in my opinion, if you're stressing to find a good browser, the ics stock browser has literally everthing you need that the other browsers have and it's also light so yeah
ENJOY YOUR ION!!!!
p.s Oh and the Ion is a great overall phone, the display, camera, interface, multimedia, and hardware features such as nfc etc is just amazing, althought the battery life could have been better, I think it differs in each device, some had lasted theirs for 10+ hours of heavy usage while mine lasted 8 hours with heavy usage I wouldn't get the T because the on-screen buttons will take a couple of inches from the 4.55" screen

hi spectre,
thanks, are there likely to be? or is the sony ICS pretty nice, I did like to flash ROMs on my desire - which clearly had a shed load of ROM options.
I know that the Ion is fairly new, but I imagine the number of devs working with Sony phones is fewer? maybe just you
I am so torn at the moment for getting a new phone it ridiculous
the Ion I can get here for £329 and the T for £419
neither is particularly cheap
as I may have mentioned I want a decent camera, but the LTE of the Ion is swaying me slightly, but knowing my luck when it does come to the UK we no doubt will have adopted a completely different version ..
and its not the slimmest of phones either..
still thinking about the HTC one x - but no additional storage may kill that one. I have an SD card in my desire that is brimming with MP3's

Well cyanogen nightlies just started being released so there's hope. Sony's ICS is really nice. Well built and runs great on any of their 2012 phones.

given the choice, which would you pick?
think LTE may actually be a pointless specification for the UK for what might be 3 years..
seems like the difference is about 80£ and NFC - which I am not sure I would use anyway. and the T is slightly slimmer and lighter
also hear the Ion battery is a bit rubbish - maybe that is just the LTE clobbering it.
If I didn't have one and was trying yo pick I would probably go for the T seeing as it has the S4 processor and is the new flagship. I do love my ion though and think its a great phone. You can't really go wrong with either phone but if you are gonna want a choice in a bunch of different roms then the T will be a better choice. I think it will have more dev support.

[Q] Xperia S, SL or Acro S? Or wait for V?

Hi all there,
I'll upgrade my phone next january and I´m wishing to buy a better Sony phone (I have Sony Xperia U running a modded ROM from here, TheBrainsROM [thanks to thebrainkafka for his development], but when I did some use from my brother´s Xperia SL, I´ve got very disappointed with mine's performance).
So, I think I´m going for S, SL or Acro S, but these phones share some equal specifications and I was wondering what should be the very appeal to buy one or another (price, waterproof, frequency....).
I´m not letting the phone go on a stock ROM, I will upgrade it with some ROM from here at once. Would have any of them an advantage with this, since I can do a better performance with a modded ROM?
Or, should I go vor a Xperia V? Why? (too much for my budget now, but maybe I would wait some more...)
Thanks in advance for your time and for sharing your experience here,
Alexandre
Xperia V
I'd hold out for the Xperia V if you can. Why? Well it has a newer chip set (s4) so it's faster, more efficient and overall more future proof. It has a sexy design, same size as the S, SL and Acro S, it's waterproof I think? It has 4G LTE. Micro SD card expansion. Removable battery. The lost goes on really.
Just wait for Xperia V
V
Wait for V. Or acro S.
Depends on your taste though.
Overall, acro s is good enough to satisfy my needs. It has microSD card support, size that fit my hand, water/dust resist coz im an outdoor type, and design that suit me. I can ignore bulkiness that acro s have. Also, the performance is not so bad and battery life is kinda sucks.
The devs here are less than S/ion.
I dont care about removable battery, because i dont need that.
I prefer V than acro S, besides V got a nice chipset and new tech, V provides more chance of future updates than the previous gen.
So, take xperia V.
Why not go the Xperia ION ?
http://geekaphone.com/compare/Sony-Xperia-V-vs-Sony-Xperia-Ion
You can pick up Xperia S for cheap now, but if I was going to buy a phone now I would probably buy an Xperia V but it will be expensive.
Get the yuga or odin when they centre out. I prefer t over v. T had a better benchmark than v in a video. Also jb for t maybe is out.

Has nobody bothered to try to import the DoCoMo charger? I see a few people have tried it with the HTC One M8 which seems to work but have display issues that need a reset to show true charging values...

I know it says its compatible with Z2 that's why I have posted here to check if anyone with a Z1 can verify that it works on it as well...
It'll work with any device with S800 S600 and S400 SoC. That's what qualcomm says. So it will also work with the Z1. I'm only worried about that ampers regulation according to the device temperature which is already in the Z1. that means that more hot the device gets while charging then the slower it'll charge. I'm curious how it'll go with QC2
Hmmm it says "certified" which is fancy smanshy for positively will work 100% sure but it's like a car, "certified" which is fancy for used
I ordered 2 docomo charger. Anyboy know this charger amp rate? I think it like the same Ipad 12W charger.............

I've got a PTEC TW QCA-01 charger, and seems to be working great with my m8.
I'm currently in Taiwan, and contacted them and they were able to deliver it to me in person, very surprised by this lol...
Can someone confirm Quick Charge is not working?
not working
Why would anyone make a phone with the Snapdragon 800 SoC and not implement Quick Charge 2.0?
Since we already have s800, maybe we just need the proper kernel?
I have purchased the HTC Rapid Charger 2 (15W) and can confirm it doesn't seem to be any quicker than the stock charger, ridiculous really disappointing

It requires auxiliary qualcomm power management chip which is not present in ours nor OPO. I warn others to not use the QuickCharge 2.0 Chargers because they have 9.0V DC output which is not supported by our batteries as well.
Dose lg G3 supports Quick charging 2.0
