Has nobody bothered to try to import the DoCoMo charger? I see a few people have tried it with the HTC One M8 which seems to work but have display issues that need a reset to show true charging values...

If you take a look at the first link: http://www.qualcomm.com/snapdragon/blog/2014/06/04/quick-charge-20-has-arrived
It states the Sony Xperia Z2 and no mention of the Z1.

I know it says its compatible with Z2 that's why I have posted here to check if anyone with a Z1 can verify that it works on it as well...

It'll work with any device with S800 S600 and S400 SoC. That's what qualcomm says. So it will also work with the Z1. I'm only worried about that ampers regulation according to the device temperature which is already in the Z1. that means that more hot the device gets while charging then the slower it'll charge. I'm curious how it'll go with QC2

Hmmm it says "certified" which is fancy smanshy for positively will work 100% sure but it's like a car, "certified" which is fancy for used

I ordered 2 docomo charger. Anyboy know this charger amp rate? I think it like the same Ipad 12W charger.............

My OEM charger just died.
Any idea where to get one of those chargers with shipping to Germany?

ebay probably

Oh sorry my wording was a little poor.
with "one of those chargers" I wasn't referring to the OEM charger but to a Quick Charge 2.0 one.
Thanks anyways

Sorry

I'm currently in Taiwan, and contacted them and they were able to deliver it to me in person, very surprised by this lol...

Can someone confirm Quick Charge is not working?

not working

Why would anyone make a phone with the Snapdragon 800 SoC and not implement Quick Charge 2.0?

Since we already have s800, maybe we just need the proper kernel?

I have purchased the HTC Rapid Charger 2 (15W) and can confirm it doesn't seem to be any quicker than the stock charger, ridiculous really disappointing

It requires auxiliary qualcomm power management chip which is not present in ours nor OPO. I warn others to not use the QuickCharge 2.0 Chargers because they have 9.0V DC output which is not supported by our batteries as well.

Samsung MHL to HDMI Adapter not working??

Hello guys, I registered in this forum hoping to find a solution for the problem I have.
I bought an original Samsung HDTV Adapter (Micro USB type) to use it to connect my new Galaxy S3 to my LCD Samsung TV via HDMI cable, BUT IT DOESN’T WORK !!
I checked the same adapter with a Galaxy Nexus and it worked just fine, but I had no luck to get it work with Galaxy S3. Any reason for that?
Please help. Thank you!
Have you set the TV-Out options on the phone?
There is no TV-Out options in the phone !! , any other thoughts?
The settings might be in the AllShare application or something like that, most phone's with TV-Out don't have it enabled by default as you have to choose PAL/NTSC/etc. I'm just guessing based on my SGS1 though, I don't have my SGS3 yet.
Can confirm it's not working. Couldn't find any mention of mhl in the manual either.
Also mine that I used with Note is not working
Inviato dal mio GT-I9300 con Tapatalk 2
Damn, this is a bit of a major for me! I hope this isn't a case of Samsung not including MHL to sell more of their AllShare Cast dongles...
Charlie Sheen aproves this accessory.
http://www.handtec.co.uk/product.ph...--official-wi-fi-display-hub--ead-t10udegxeu-
This is a major letdown. I've also bought a MHL adapter to use with my (delayed pebble blue -.- ) SIII, didn't expect this to happen.
Anyone else has tried connecting the phone through hdmi?
That’s really frustrating!! I guess I figured it out and it doesn’t look nice from Samsung.
I found this accessory online which is yet to be released and compatible with the S3:
Part No: EPL-3FHUBEGSTD (sorry I cant post links as im a new user and the system wont allow me, u will be able to find that part in MobileFun site )
The same older model won’t work !! it’s the same device though with an older version. Here is the old model part no. which is available in market now:
Part No: EIA1UHUNBECSTD (u can search it in the same site “MobileFun”)
So if you have your old HDTV Adapter, I guess you can’t use it with the S3. That’s BAD Samsung, really BAD
Anyway, if any 1 can figure a way to make the older model work with the S3 please post it here, as im not eager to buy a second HDTV Adapter
Hi
I tried my old Bizlink with my S3 - it definitely does not work. Apparently only the new cable (EPL-3FHUBEGSTD) will work.
MobileFun expect their new HDTV adaptors on Friday.
Well, this is annoying. My old Samsung official MHL one doesn't work, and neither does my prototype one from the MHL consortium. Would like to know how Samsung explain messing up a connection standard?
My speculation: they have changed it so that the adapter delivers more charge to the S3 during MHL connection sessions...

Thats what i thought also !! Samsung must have changed the power requirement for the newer model. Its very annoying from Samsung i agree.
Got a confirmation from Samsung that the MHL adapter sold for the SGS2 won't work for the SGS3. They didn't mention whether they would release a new one, but I assume they will.
i have same problem i think they want us to buy dongle

They won't work. They will have said that in anticipation of them working (which is entirely fair enough on their part, since, you know, MHL is a connections standard that Samsung seem to have messed up).

They work fine - but I have been through two of them over the last couple of years. They are cute, the display is nice but they have a habit of locking up and while you can sort of reset them (by holding down the power button while removing the charging cable) this eventually stops being useful.
I threw them away after both fully died and have the Samsung HS3000 instead. No display but the voice prompts are OK. Battery life is about the same. Sound quality (given both are BT) is much the same but perhaps not as loud at max volume.

LG G3 Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0

Does the LG G3 have an enabled Quick Charge 2.0 system? Do I need a 3rd party charger to take advantage of that?

I'm willing to bet it has to either be kernel enabled or hardware enabled. The new moto x has it with turbo charger.
Anybody heard an update? I've been searching everywhere but can't find any definite answer to whether my G3 has quick charge 2.0 enabled or not.

The G3 charges hella fast anyway, seems to charge in a similar time to the X.
Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
I read this months ago. From there:
In this test, the LG G3 trails behind both the One (M8) and Galaxy S5 in charge time, although it's quite close to the One (M8). This is strange, especially because the LG G2 has the same battery size. However, this can be explained by the change to charging protocol, as it seems that the G3 doesn't support Qualcomm's Quick Charge technology. Instead, signalling is done over BC 1.2. As we'll see later in the article, this is due to the charger chip used.

Real life scenario is My G3 charges just as fast as my personal preference. So I really dont bother
The G3 does not have QC 2.0.
All phones sporting QC 2.0 are listed on the Qualcomm site, and its missing the G3

LG decided not to use QuickCharge on this device as it causes too much damage to the battery in the long-term.
It would be possible to activate it with a custom rom/kernel though (infact CloydyG3 rom already enables "smart charging" which utilises QuickCharge when it thinks you need it)

Fast Charging
Charging of a device depends on the current passed to charge it at a constant voltage.
To quickly charge your phone you may buy a charger which has a high output current.
But also remember that it may also damage your device
Snapdragon 400 SOC does support it but you need other hardware for Voltage regulation stuff which the Moto G doesn't have.
So, No it doesn't actually support QuickCharge.

[Q] Qi wireless charging on Lollipop roms

Really?? What rom does it work on because it didn't work on the one I tried and I find these kind of comments in the 5.0 rom threads:
"Seems like the only non-working thing is wireless charging, which is common across all current LP ROMs. " and
"Wireless charging does not work on any LP ROM yet to my knowledge. It charges EXTREMELY slow. Not fast enough to be useful. "

Which roms, exactly? Official roms, CM12 and all their derivatives are charging well. Maybe you meant some strange AOSP derivatives?..
I use an official LG G3 qi charger (WCD-100), and i never encountered issues with it...
Ok. I've tried crDroid 5.0.2 and it didn't charge. Using a Kitkat rom based on g3 oem charges good. But I'll try another lollipop rom and see how it works.

I've seen the same behavior. For LP roms I've tried CM12, LiquidSmooth, and Illusion with no QI charging luck at all. It says "charging" but doesn't actually charge rather it continues to discharge the battery. Any KitKat rom works just fine. I have tried multiple doors, QI stickers, and chargers (TYLT Vu and Nokia DT-900). I'm at a complete loss on what is going on. I would be totally open to any suggestions on next steps.
Ok, I loaded up Illusion on G3 and it won't charge on my wireless charger. I think someone is mistaken about it charging because from everything I have read, it's not working on lollipop roms. It makes the charging sound, and even says on the battery display that its charging, but it's not. Maybe it works on official G3 roms in Europe, but not the custom ones for US phones.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Isn't the V20B the international variant that has been released as official lollipop? But wireless won't work on the custom roms based on other variants.
Its always work on Lollipop ROM. I have a Samsung S4 Qi-Charger and its working fine. And you must use a 2.1 A Power adapter for your Qi-Charger in order for the Qi Charging to work in Ultimate state. I tried with PC USB its keep looking for hot spot.
Recently I ordered a Qi-infinity™_Portable_Wireless_Charger_Power_Bank_4000_ mAh and its work the best when not plugin to the power.
Here the inquiry to the manufacturer.

Subject: Qi-infinity™ Portable Wireless Charger Power Bank 4000 mAh
Message Body:
I ordered the above item from Amazon and received it yesterday. I noticed that if I plugin the power supply (either from my PC USB or my Phone charger) its seem that it's won't charge my LG G3 D855 nicely. Its keep looking for hot spot. But if i unplug it from power supply, it charge perfectly.
So is this some defect on this new charger or its a standard feature?
I like the design and color of this charger and do not wish to return it.
…
Dear Sir,
It has to do with bigger phones like LG G3 and Note 4 as current output of our wireless charger is around 1A. In future models, we will be boosting capacity to 1.5A but that will take few months as we need to redesign circuit board.
So to answer your question, no it is not a defect. It is more function of how it was optimized around smaller phones with 1A input.
Hope this helps but feel free to reach out to us for any further questions.
Best regards,
Qi-infinity team
So hopefully they will make a Qi-Charger with higher Output Soon.
And I have this with me too a week ago MobilePal (TM) Gen-2 Slim 10000mAh Qi Wireless Power Bank
Same thing, it claimed its work with G3 as long as use a 2.1 A power adapter. I love the idea of Power bank wireless charging because I can just stick them tightly together on my pocket and it'll charge wireless. But this charger is quite heavy.

Ok, well that could explain why some people have it working and some don't. I have a Nokia charge and it specs out at 750 mAh. Maybe I will try a different charger, but it's still weird that it charges under Kitkat and not under Lollipop roms.

Okay, this does not even seem to be a G3 issue, so much as Lollipop issue...as my fully stock 2013 Nexus 7 LTE just got the Lollipop update and now I can't get it to wirelessly charge anymore either. After spending like 10 minutes getting it on the pad, it finally started to charge, only to give up after a few minutes. I feel like this has to be some bigger bug in 5 that no one's admitting to yet
