PLease know, I have searched and tried all that I could but my EVO is dead..(well on the way to dead anyway...)
If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.
I was running FreshRom 3.2.0.0 With great success. Fully Rooted. I flashed a zip to change the lockscreen and now here's where I am...
Phone will boot to HBOOT. Phone will connect to USB with Fastboot (at least I believe it will as the command "Fastboot reboot" reboots the phone from ADB).
Recovery will NOT see my SDCARD. The fixes for this (how I learned about fastboot) do not change this fact.
Regular reboot of the phone gives me the white screen EVO logo and then moves to a blank screen with the backlighting on and nothing. That's about where it's at.....
Is there anything I can do?
Try plugging your phone up to your computer and try to access your phone to the command prompt using adb just like when you first rooted it or run the unrevoked 3 file again while connected to your computer....I think that's what I did when I had something similar to your problem...

This happened to me as well. I fixed it by:
1) Flash back to 2.1 http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Supersonic/ (select the May date for the rom).
2) Root again, using unrevoked
3) Flash Fresh 3.2 rom again, using Rom Manager

I thought this might be a good idea, so I have been trying to do this, but for some reason, no matter which rom I choose from here, It downloads a comparativly small amount (like 17 mb for a 175 mb file) and says it's finished. I run the exe, and I get error messages specifically Error -5001
But I do appreciate the input from both of you.

if your computer isnt downloading the full file, are you sure it downloaded the full 3.2 rom when you first started?
can you do a nand restore?
Try uninstalling the lock screen you put on through adb....
Thank you to everyone who pitched in here. I managed to get a copy of the stock RUU this morning. Flashed it just fine and now I am rooted with the three click method. All is well.
Thanks again!
I have CM7 and it's worked well, until yesterday, when I installed SD Maid and I did some delete with Corpse Finder (maybe was not the problem). And few hours later I reboot my phone (had problem with ADW), but after still reboot immediately, when the system is up.
I tried these steps:
- with the recovery mode: wipe data/factory reset, after wipe cache partition, and install .zip (CM7) from SD Card
- wipe davlik cache
- HBOOT menu (like in downgrade): install PC10IMG.zip (in recovery mode was fail)
- try to root again in recovery mode, but cant going thru on this: adb push recovery.... .img file, and after the root_psn file, until the end of the commands.
But did not work nothing.
So please help me, what I have to do?!
you could try superwipe:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1044992
afterwards wipe also through recovery (data/cache/dalvik) and then do a fresh install of whatever...
maybe it helps
OK, it is works, but have a problem too.
After used this SuperWipe, I put CM7 also. And it was good.
But I forget the google services, and after I installed this, had a same problem with the rebooting...
...then try different gapps or do a fresh install: flash cm7 and straight afterwards gapps (don´t boot into cm7 before flashing gapps)
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Latest_Version/Google_Apps
you could google for older ones
EDIT: ok in samsung galaxy 3 forum i have read that people had problems with gapps because of a corrupted sdext partition - as far as i remember from my old htc magic where i used sdext you can fix this through recovery

Thanks. I solved the problem (avoid the problematic step). But it was another, what I guess in the first time.
So, the gapps was correct, because I started from the superwipe again, and flash CM7 and the gapps too. And it is working properly until, when I has changed the mobile connection to "only 2g" (sometimes I prefer this, because less battery usage). And got the reboot problem again.
Now I leave my mobile in 3G and still working properly.
Thanks for the help!!

it shouldn't happen that way you should be able to change network type as you wish..
Yes, I know, but what I should to do to solve the 2G/3G switch problem?
Each time I boot up my phone it reverts to a previous state no matter what I do. It started 2 nights ago when I was messing with it. I wanted to install another rom and try rom manager. RM gave me an error saying it couldn't do something and fix permissions sometimes worked. I went into CWM touch and did a "fix permissions". I had also just installed CWM touch a few minutes earlier to try it out. I gave up on RM and just tried installing CM9 alpha nightly the usual way. I got the CM9 startup animation, but when the phone starts it's in the same earlier state. I was on AOKP build 28.
I've tried:
Restoring a previous nandroid backup
Reinstalling CMW regular via the Toolkit and fastboot
Fixing permissions (again) via CWM touch
Wiping everything CMW will let me... multiple times.
So far no matter what I do the phone is in the same state. I can install apps, take pictures, etc., but when the phone reboots (it's doing random reboots often) none of them are saved. I think the fix permissions somehow made most or all of my directories read only and the phone is rebooting when the ram is being fully used, but I'm not sure. I remember getting one "read only" error last night, but I was trying so many things the exact moment escapes me. I can boot into CMW regular via the Toolkit as long as I don't flash it.
I have Windows 7 and Ubuntu at my disposal.
edit 1: I may have mounted the /system path before I did a fix permissions if this matters. It tells me /system is read-only.
edit 2: I can't delete anything off of the SDCARD when it's mounted as usb storage in Windows.
Hi, I have a Desire HD and I just flashed this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1460820
It installed without any errors, but after the installation during the reboot, nothing happens. The phone just keeps rebooting endlessly with the HTC logo and then the beatsaudio logo and back to the HTC logo again. I pulled out the battery and turned it on again but the same thing happens. Please help!

did u do a full wipe? just do a full wipe, and then reflash the rom.
Also, make sure that the md5sum is the correct for the rom zip file. If the file is corrupted, then u will never be able to flash it.
How do I do a full wipe? I can access recovery, so how do I do it from there?
select the option wipe data/ factory reset
BUT as you can imagine all your data will be deleted!
and use the + / - buttons for selecting; wake up button should be the enter button
I did that, but the problem still persists.
then use an other rom that you can flash.. maybe the rom you downloaded is broken?

Every rom in the site has a MD5SUM, that is a unique number to check is the file is corrupted or not.
When in the sdcard, the check using a cmd as admin the following
(whatever directory the sdcard is) ¿?:\FOLDER THE FILE IS ON\md5sum NAME OF FILE.ZIP
check that number...if that is ok, then change the rom.
Do you use alot of apps perhaps ?
Are these moved to SD ?
I too had problems with Rebooting after upgrading and it appears a HUGE BUG was introduced in the official Gingerbread OS ...
Check this link out and see how many hundred of others have this reboot bug:
http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=25563
There is however a fix for those with rooted phones, simply install LINK2SD, which runs a boot-up script and allows you to save/link all your apps on SD card in a 2nd seperate partition (ideally use format ext4 for this partition) and makes the phone believe these are all installed on the local data space ..
Hi, I have wildfire S. Got it rooted and i was using custom ROMS on it for sometime, Then i wanted to extend the internal space and tried partitioning and used CronMod-INT2EXT4+_signed . It worked well, Then the decline started to begin, I tried to install a custom rom, had status 7 error, tried to fix it and had status 0 error, then had status 6 error, i tried to reinstall recovery, was using cwm 5.0 , anyway when i tried to flash recovery phone won't start after that, it goes in fast bot, show the recovery option but when i try to get in recovery it get stuck on htc logo. Now i don't know how to flash anyother recovery on phone, What can i do using my pc? Any help in this regard will be appreciated. Thanks

Problem Solved,
Thanks for replies, Ok here is what i did, I bought a charger that charges the battery only so i got the phone charged. I noticed everytime i go in fastboot and press volume down it does find some files. File name PG something. i checked my wfs folder, i have PG76IMG.ZIP. It was from the time i rooted the phone. I put that file in sd card. Went into fast boot. When phone searched for file it did find the file and installed cwm recovery 5.0. something version. Tada. Problem solved. This recovery don'yt give any error 7. or error 0 or any other error, I installed a rom, created partiations and now the phoen have load of space and its running really good. Thanks for help everyone. Am attching file incase someone need it in future. Cheers.
Buy a new battery and then boot into bootloader. You can flash recovery in fastboot mode.

If you're able to get a 3.5 v source, connect the wires to the battery for 10 min, without letting it become too hot.
You can still boot your phone into fastboot mode. When you're there (I suppose you already have adb and HTC drivers installed, I f not look for them here on xda) type
fastboot flash recovery XXX.img
with XXX.img the img file of the recovery you want to flash. (look for it on xda as well).
Then wipe all partitions and start from scratch.
Hope I helped, hit thanks if so
