When I turn on camera in photo mode, constant autofocus starts and refreshes every 2 sec. Between these autofocuses it is impossible to enter any photo menu to see what's wrong. But when video mode is on- everything works as normal.
What can it be and how can I solve this issue?
Stock rom 1.82.

So here's the problem, guys:
Whenever I try to take 720p, after clicking the camera button to finish the recording it slides the video, but the camera remains black and doesn't show anything (freezing).
You can use HOME button to go the main menu, but still after relaunching camera app it slides the photos but no image from camera at all.
It starts working again only after rebooting. Got NoDo, changed registry setts only in unlock state and dehydration.
UPD: it also freezes sometimes even at capturing 480, but not always. in about 40-50%.
I recently went from Miui to 4.4.1 Alpha 2 currently on stock when I turn my phone to go into landscape it just stays in landscape until I restart my phone... I go into my gallery in portrait mode and my gallery just isn't straight its slightly turned to the right (keep in mind gingerbread gallery uses the gyroscope sensor). I went into recovery mode to see if I can reset my rotation setting but I guess that option doesn't exist anymore someone please help... how do I reset my gyroscope to rotate properly??????

Hello everyone, I have one question. At night in low light condition, when I am turning camera app on, my HTC sees everything amazing, but as soon as I start recording video, screen gets too dark, also when my phone is not moving, so it doesn't have to refocus. Do I have problems in camera settings? I don't understand, why it shouldn't record video in same quallity as camera hardware can see, while not capturing?
I believe that's how the camera works . Your were probably in photo mode when everything was looking good. As soon you hit the video button, it turns into crap. It's not you.

Hi
On my G4 the front camera looks like it has become cropped and doesn't fit the whole screen, see attached image. I have tried restarting the phone.
Any ideas why this has happened, if I use the main camera it is fine and if I use dual mode it is also fine, it wasn't always like this, i have changed the ratio settings and that doesn't do anything.
Anyone else had this?
You have the flash mode on. Turn off the flash icon and it will go back to normal.

Ah, so the "flash" mode on the front camera is actually using the whiteness of the screen itself for illuminating your face as it faces the white screen? Clever...
Ahhaaaaa thank you was driving me crazy!
FYI it does this too if you lowered the screen DPI. The rear camera is fullscreen but the front camera is letterboxed.
I am on latest firmware with latest bootloader COG5.
When i turned on the screen rotation feature the screen either doesn't rotate or it rotates to the opposite direction and doesn't return to the normal direction even i catch the device in portrait mode.
How to correct this?
Update :
I thought that the gyroscope sensor is responsible for this issue.
But it's accelerometer sensor when i make some tests on the sensor and tapped on upper part of the screen then the phone vibrated and the screen rotation fixed without need to restart the phone.
Make 2 or 3 tests on the sensor that in image test and on the graph button.
To enter the sensor menu tests dial *#0*#

I think this is a bug with c0g5.. Sometimes screen rotation locks up on stock c0g5.. I have tried toggling auto rotate but it doesn't work. ..
When I say locks up I am referring to one orientation or another.. The auto rotate fixates on a landscape view and won't toggle to the other view.. This happens infrequently. .. A reboot clears it up...

Click to collapse
I tried to reboot and wipe cache and delvic cache and even factory default with no fix.
When i dial *#0*# and enter sensors and get in gyroscope sensor and perform gyro selftest it passes the test.
So does it mean that it's not hadware related issue?
