Hide app icon - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

does anyone know a method or a program to hide an app icon from app list drawer
like "invisible call blocker droid" which hide his icon, is just a black spot instead of app icon

Try searching the market for hide app.
I just tried app hider lite. Works. Free version only hides one app. Does not hide app rider lite itself, or from showing in "my apps" in market. It is password protected. There may be others there that hide themselves as well, just try a few.

Manny tnx to you. i tried search the market (and google, and the forum) before with querrys like hde, hide app, (but not "hideR") without getting anny result . Much appreciated

I'm actually using the Go Launcher to hide the apps. There's no limitation to the number of apps but of course you will have to use the launcher.

CPU Speed in Notification Bar?

Is there a way or an app that displays the current CPU Mhz on the notification bar? (Kind of like SetCPU but on the notification bar, instead of within the app).
Looking one for just testing. Don't want any of those swiss-army-knife apps that include a million things though.
Display CPU frequency (and maybe option of displaying percentage instead) should be the only feature.
Search market for temp+CPU pro. There's an option to put a selected state on your status bar.

Thanks, the market has really been bogged down with keywords and meta tags and such.
Even with filters it's hard to find what your looking for lol.
Yeah it seems like you need to put in the exact app name for it to show up correctly. Kind of strange that the search function could use improvement in the Google android market..

I thought that i was the only one trying to find things. Just recently i was trying to find Shoot me in the market but forgot the actual name of it, took forever with keywords. Didn't come right up with screenshot, screen grabber, root screen, etc...

[Q] Popup Browser at any time, where to get it

I know I saw it somewhere but I cannot find it.
There is an app that can be added to the MultiWindow that will allow you to open a Popup browser at any time. Does anybody know what its called and where I can get it?

Thank Jinra321
Hot tip. Place this on a default pad in SwipePad so you can always launch it on top of anything.

The icon is on my homescreen. Which means I need to exit an app I'm in, then go to my homescreen to open the pop-up browser.
Is there a way that it can be triggered inside the app I am using?
Oh I see what you mean....no there isnt a wsy ti bring it up like that with that application.
However I'm not saying there isn't another v app that does. ..I just don't know of one

You might consider wave launcher which allows you to open another app without first exiting an app. You have to do a swipe gesture from the edge of the screen to get the apps you would like to choose from.

You can use this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.projectvoodoo.otarootkeeper&hl=en
Assuming you're using TouchWiz, you can hide the root icon by using the Hide Applications feature built into TouchWiz
Go to your app drawer, press setting and HIDE APPLICATIONS and select the root icon
You can also use the OTA RootKeeper to reinitialize root... I use this method to hide root to run applications that won't run on rooted phones like RedBox Instant by Verizon although I have yet to use it because I haven't received my free trial!
What do you mean by root icon? Are You referring to SuperSU app?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium
Hiding the icon as in that method (not using rootkeeper), would just hide your superuser app from the app drawer, so yes

Hiding apps? There are plenty of apps that let you freeze an app or disable an app.
I use es file explorer. You have to be rooted though.

Guess your new to ANDROID. Welcome Cuz your speaking of Crapple:banghead: lol.
Anyhow you can disable any app from showing up in the applications drawer. Just go into setting applications, pick the one you don't want disable done. But your going to have to root your phone like the last post stated. Then you'll b able to do plenty more. Like completely remove what you don't want or NEED!
