You can use this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.projectvoodoo.otarootkeeper&hl=en
Assuming you're using TouchWiz, you can hide the root icon by using the Hide Applications feature built into TouchWiz
Go to your app drawer, press setting and HIDE APPLICATIONS and select the root icon
You can also use the OTA RootKeeper to reinitialize root... I use this method to hide root to run applications that won't run on rooted phones like RedBox Instant by Verizon although I have yet to use it because I haven't received my free trial!
What do you mean by root icon? Are You referring to SuperSU app?

Hiding the icon as in that method (not using rootkeeper), would just hide your superuser app from the app drawer, so yes

Rename
While on the subject. I would like to rename down loaded apps. Primarily to assist sorting and also some of the names could be better.
TIA

Any Idea what this icon is? I have closed ALL running apps and this icon persists in the notification bar....Help?
Some sort of adware probably, installed when you installed something else. There is an app you can use to find what it is but I don't remember off hand what it's called

If it's adware it's Airpush. Download Airblocker or Airpush detector.

Notification Toggle
It looks very close to icon of the Notification Toggle app by j4velin
Do check if this is the case. The icon might have gotten themed/updated.
This icon is old...this is from GPS in older versions of android...

For iPhone in the Cydia app store there is an app called Poof that makes apps invisible. You run the app by actually typing in the name in the search screen. Is there anything like that on android?
- Solved Apex launcher ahs the option_

Hiding apps? There are plenty of apps that let you freeze an app or disable an app.
I use es file explorer. You have to be rooted though.

Guess your new to ANDROID. Welcome Cuz your speaking of Crapple:banghead: lol.
Anyhow you can disable any app from showing up in the applications drawer. Just go into setting applications, pick the one you don't want disable done. But your going to have to root your phone like the last post stated. Then you'll b able to do plenty more. Like completely remove what you don't want or NEED!

Can someone please help? My wifes GN2 gallery app has been deleted somehow. Her phone is stock and unrooted. From my understanding root is required to delete a system app, so I'm not sure how it happened. Does anyone have any ideas on how to recover the gallery, aside from factory reset? Maybe an apk? Thanks!
SOLVED
It's probably not deleted. Open your app draw, then click menu and select hide applications. Find gallery and uncheck it.

I've checked the app drawer, and it's not hidden. I have also looked in the application manager, it's missing from there as well.

Okay that's strange because you do need root to remove a system app. Silly question, have you scrolled to the bottom of app manager where the disabled apps are and made sure it wasn't accidently disabled?
Also, have your rebooted and seen I'd it just shows back up

Thank you guys for the replies. I have performed a reboot, however I have not scrolled to the bottom of the app manager to see if it was disabled. I only looked for it in the alphabetical list. I'll try that when she gets home with her phone.

Does anyone got any idea how we can enable all apps in multiWindow and popup view? Right now there are only a few that can do that which is almost useless for me.
you need to root.
All I need is root? Or do I need more than that to get it working?

Root and there are a couple multiview apps in the playstore that will allow you to pick which apps you want to have that feature.
Examples?
