"error 120: country code error" please help me..

Hi,i'm from spain, i'm speak english a little bit, have a new m500 and have a problem when update whith driver of qteck. the problem is in the image, i read the tutorials for this problem and dowload de program for no id but dont run. please hel me.....

well you guys can try this. it works when i tried upgrading a s'pore dopod 900 with a orange m5000 rom and got error 120. use buzz's uni_unlock v1 (www.buzzdev.net) to CID unlock the phone (even if phone isn't locked) then flash using bootloader mode. ...EDIT: sorry its superCID and not CID unlock. google for its meaning

I'm new to the SPV world and only had the M5000 for about a week. Can you be specific. Not sure about flashing using the bootloader mode or what the uni_unlock v1 actually does.

i tried to help but i just could not connect to xda-developers website other than on my opera mobile. it could be a prob with their server. i guess you'll just have to wait. meanwhile why don't you visit www.buzzdev.net or on this forum under universal upgrading, stuff about uni_unlock v1 and flashing using bootloader mode. sorry for that. i'll try to log in again later

Ok here we go. To make your phone superCID use the utility by buzz here http://buzzdev.net/content/view/78/1/ (read also the forum link if still in doubt) , and to flash your phone using bootloader, here's how.
On PC,
Unrar/unzip your chosen rom (right-click on rom exe) to get nk.nbf (OS rom), ms.nbf (Extended rom) and radio.nbf (Radio rom). You'll also get the Update_Utility, ROMUpgradeUt. if these files are not in the same folder as the utility move them all or any one to where the utility is, the RUU folder. P.S you can choose to only upgrade the .nbf file that you need e.g nk but not radio.
Phone,
Hold Backlight and Power button while at the same time press Reset key to go into bootloader mode. Connect phone to PC. P.S Activesync must have already been installed (for drivers) but need not be active as in BL mode activesync will not detect phone but PC does.
On PC,
Open the folder where your prepared ROMUpgradeUt is (RUU folder) and click/run the ROMUpgradeUt. you'll get a welcome screen.
From here onwards it is the same as it would be like if you upgrade via activesync. (.EXE method).
P.S some people may have other ways of circumventing the Error 120 but thru' trial and error this is how i sucessfully did it. Good luck.
Here's Buzz's explanation of what superCID does to your phone. Quote "Anyway, just to be clear, with SuperCID device you can now perform bootloader commands, which were previously locked. You can now do SD card dumps, load .bin files, read write different areas of device... ;o)))"

That worked a treat, i can now use the mobile phone and the Protocol version is also back.
Do you think it would be advisable to try and run the ROM update from the orange web site. Not sure as i thought my SPV as a mobile phone was dead for good.
I ran the UNI_Unlock v1.exe so presumably my spv will accept the ROM but i'm not certain.

Thought i'd take the plunge and try and run the ROM update again anyway. It's updated fine this time with all the new versoins and everything is working fine.

As you've found out once you've unlocked the phone you can upgrade to any universal's rom available here and at buzzdev.net. infact with a superCID device as stated by buzz, you can do more than just that. Congrats.

Where can I download this unlocking tool? The link to it on Buzz Dev just displays a blank screen..

The MTTY tool enables you to determine whether your internal flashdisk is defective. Once that is confirmed you are out of luck, the device will have to be repaired by the manufacturer.

-disable USB connection in desktop ActiveSync
-connect USB cable
-start mtty
-create new connection and select USB from ports
press enter to see USB prompt in mtty:
USB>
type (dont copy&paste):
task 28
and press enter
If the result is the following then you are out of luck:
flFormatPhysicalDrive:status=23
DOC_format failed!

MTTY is some kind of terminal emulation software, and in this case it is used to communicate to serial and/or USB enabled devices. On the HTC devices (including the Universal) it enables you to issue a selection of commands that allow you to read the status of som eof the components, to clear the bootloader flags, to format the internal flashdisk etc etc
(This program should of course be used with precautions)
In this particular case, the task 28 command issues a format command to the internal DOC=DiskOnChip that hosts the operating system after initialization. When performing a hard reset, so either selecting clear storage/1234 or reset+softkeys/clear storage, the internal flash disk is reinitialized, reformatted, and the OS is put back on the internal flash disk, thus preparing the device for its first use.
The behaviour above indicates a defective internal flash disk, and the task 28 command verifies that. If the result is "format failed" then there is no other solution then to send the device back to qtek/o2/htc etc...

dude i also had the same problem. my phone was working perfectly fine. i dont kno what tickeled my ass nd i tried upgrading the radio with the original club-imate rom upgrade file. upgrade was successful but when i tried the hard reset thing i got stuck at the blue color booting screen nd now ma phone is not completing the boot. i have a jasjar. as mentioned in this forum i downloaded the mtty utility nd tried running task 28. unfortunately the result is "format failed". as per niketkumar my phone is ****ed now. niket do i have some other remedy bro rather than going to the workshop. my exams are goingon nd the workshop here is in new delhi which is aroound 600 miles from jodhpur where m studying presently. is there any other way out. do u have ne idea as to what would this fixing up cost me coz my phone is outa warranty period nd its a second hand one. with my figers crossed m waiting 4 a reply.................................

Dont worry at all try to reflash it back with the complete ROM upgrade and if it is not detected by ur comp. then try it in the Bootloader mode .

niket, i have tried it several times brother. i have upgraded/reflashed the rom version available at the clubimate site several times but the results are same. no success. i have done it in the bootloader mode only. my bootloader update has been successful. it shows that v1.01 has bee uploaded to my device. when i reflash the rom it every time stucks at the blue color boot screen and then there is no change. as suggested in the forum i had downloaded the mtty utility software and ran task 28. it shows document format error or some crap like that. according to the forum participants my device has a corrupted flash card and i need to get it fixed. in india we have the service center at delhi nd when i told them about ma problem they have also suggeted me to get it changed sice it is corrupted nd of no use now. they say that no matter how many times i run the upgrade now it wont help me. they gave the following reason:
since the flash card is corrupted, though the upgrade will be successful as the whole flash card is overwitten but when i will boot my device the boot files wont be read by my device bcoz of corrupt flash card and hence the device wont boot my os. they say its a hardware problem nd the sofwares have nothing to do with it.
if you have a remedy for me then plz do reply. is it possible to fix the card by formatting it and if yes then how to run the format on internal flash drive.
m badly stuck man. if nuthin works i will get it replaced this sunday i.e. 12/11/06.

Sorry, the internal DiskOnChip is divided in three parts, the part where the rom goes, the part where extended_rom goes and the part where your operating system will end up for first use. It is that last part that has become corrupted. You can flash perfectly to area 1 and 2, but it is area 3 that you will ultimately need. That 3rd area is what is initialized when you select clear storage or press the two soft keys+reset.
Since the error code is format failed, there is no solution but to send it back to the manufacturer of supplier ...

When I issue the task 28 command the format is successful but I am still stuck at the splashscreen.

hey sorry to bump an old topic.
Im trying to troubleshoot / fix my Harrier (and my PDA2k is playing up as well ffs) and I'm having problems following these instructions.
I open up mtty, but there doesnt seem to be any option to select USB as a connection. There is only COM1 and COM2 ports.
Where do i go from here?
im using v1.42 on WinXP pro.

If your device is rooted, you can use for example Titanium Backup to delete system applications.

It should work...
1. check that USB debugging in settings/applications/development is turned off
2. connect your phone to your PC
3. set the connection mode to phone portal (pull down the statusbar)
4. start SuperOneClick, and click root
5. when it says: waiting for device, turn usb debugging on
6. wait some seconds, and it'll finish
7. reboot your phone
8. your device is rooted (you'll see SuperUser in the menu)
If your computer doesn't recognize you phone you should install Motorola Handset USB drivers: http://developer.motorola.com/docstools/USB_Drivers/

You forgot step 5 from the above guide. Redo the steps exactly as the provided guide above.

My quess is that orange+ is a SIMtoolkit. Its part of the simcard. Simtoolkit usually part of your cell operator. It is customized menu from operator for easier use.
You can remove it, but I don't think it annoying if it is there. It won't eat any resources.
Try put the simcard in other phone, and if its there, then its confirmed.

Motorola support tell me than they have "pre-instal" some orange applications in their rom.....
but when i remove the sim card from orange and i replace it by one of another operator the application "orange+" disappear.
when orange+ is present the HOTSPOT app don't work. When i put the SIM car on another device (e.g. P3650 running windows mobile) there is no problem to use phone "hot spot" like functions.
what do you think about that ?

I don't think this will work. Try it if you want.
If you are rooted, goto /system/app/, rename stk.apk to stk.bak, reboot.
I think this will remove orange+ from menu. But I'm not sure 3G hotspot will work.

(FIX)(SOLVED) Deleted or Injected IMEI and No signal or stock on Edge

I'm not 100% sure this solution its going to work for You!
But At least and after three days working with my Galaxy S3 i747 (AT&T), its the solution that works for Me.
In Three days I search the forums and test every possible solutions for the No signal or stuck on Edge problem after my IMEI get deleted after an CM10.1 update. I have been flashing roms for a long time already, and knowing the risks of doing it, I have done something very irresponsible, I had not ever make an update of my IMEI or EFS folder. What an Error!!! Yes, Yes, I know, My Bad! But I learn my lesson. But for the Spanish speakers out there "Sarna con gusto no pica" Sorry my English fellas I don't know how to translate that sentence.
First off all I'm not responsible for any of the actions the procedures here can make to Your already Wi-fi phone. Well If You are reading this, trust me, this procedures can make the phone a brick! At least You can Use Wi-fi Now!! With that said and with a little bit of humor to bring down Your emotional state lets begin:
- First, Don't trust Your emotions right now, anything can be worst. Try other solutions first, before attempt this one. Use this solution as Your last resort. Before doing anything else, No Mather what, Make an IMEI and EFS Folder Backup, before attempt this, Even with the Condition of Your Phone right now! DO IT!!!.
- For this procedure to work, You need to make or have a Donor of an NV_items backup (QCN File) from another working phone, I don't know, just ask a friend that trust You! His Identical Phone and make a backup of He's. This its the most important part. I have No idea if its going to work if the phone its from another network, or its another model, but that's a thing I'm not going to recommend To DO! But After All, ITS ALL YOUR's!!!
- Get QPST, NV reader/writer, and nv_gen as its the software You are going to need!!!
Another Good Tool its EFS Professional 2.0
--- THIS COULD BE ILLEGAL IN SOME PLACES ---
Procedure:
0. !Important !Important -- REMOVE THE SIM CARD FROM YOUR PHONE-- !Important !Important
1. One more time, Make a EFS Folder and IMEI backup!!! - For the EFS folder You can Use Root Explorer from Your Phone.
For the IMEI, Look Under Your Phone Battery or Press *#06# on Your Phone dial.
2. On Your Phone: Dial *#7284# and select "Qualcomm USB Settings" then check "RMNET + DM + MODEM".
3. Use QPST to make A nv items backup of Your phone. The Result its going to be a QCN file.
4. On The Good and Working Phone: (Your Friends One), repeat steps 1 and 3. then When the backup finish (and remember put a good name to the file, like: MyLoveFriendPhoneBK_Cause_Hes_So_Good.qcn)
Dial *#7284# and select "Qualcomm USB Settings" then check "MTP + ADB". , At this stage You can give Your friend He's phone Back.
Continue whit your Phone:
5. Open QPST and Restore the File You have just create (the one from Yours friend phone: MyLoveFriendPhoneBK_Cause_Hes_So_Good.qcn ).
By the time it finish Your phone and Your fried's, are already One!! Basically the procedure Clone he's phone into yours, fixing the NV_Items that maybe lost or corrupt. 7. Open NV reader / writer and Inject the IMEI into Your phone. Then Reboot Your phone.
8. When The phone boots, Use the code on Step 1 to check The IMEI, If its Your's, be welcome and turn off your phone and insert again Your SIM card!.
9. At this point Your phone Should Be working as NEW!!! At least Mine Was....
10. Before End This, Again Make Another Backup Of your Phone with QPST, This time whit the corrected nv_Items.
Well That's all for my first Post ever in the forums. Sorry for not put a lot explanations of the procedures in between like QPST or NV_Gen or NV reader / writer. I'm in a Rush!!!, Just do a little search and You are going to find the procedures to the respective tools. Anyway if You are reading this, Its possible You already known how to used them.

6. Open nv_Gen and Generate a file for Your Phone IMEI. The Result its going to be a .txt file.
7. Open NV reader / writer and Inject the IMEI into Your phone. Then Reboot Your phone.
8. When The phone boots, Use the code on Step 1 to check The IMEI, If its Your's, be welcome and turn off your phone and insert again Your SIM card!.
9. At this point Your phone Should Be working as NEW!!! At least Mine Was....
10. Before End This, Again Make Another Backup Of your Phone with QPST, This time whit the corrected nv_Items.
Well That's all for my first Post ever in the forums. Sorry for not put a lot explanations of the procedures in between like QPST or NV_Gen or NV reader / writer. I'm in a Rush!!!, Just do a little search and You are going to find the procedures to the respective tools. Anyway if You are reading this, Its possible You already known how to used them.

I don't have the exact problem as this topic is discussing, but I don't have signal either and was wondering if I can get help from you guys.
Background: Before my trip overseas the phone was working perfectly, but after my trip overseas (where I had my phone unlocked locally) my phone lost signal and data and I was never able to get it back.
I turn on the phone and 99% of the time I have no signal or data... But my phone recognizes its on AT&T.
My phone is currently on stock
-Android version: 4.3
-Baseband version: 1747UCUEMJB

my IMEI is also still intact.
I have tried getting a new sim as well as using my brother's sim to see if the problem lied in my the sim or phone.. but it is indeed something wrong with the phone.

[Tutorial] How to get 4G LTE on LENOVO Z6 PRO

This is my first Post and... I'll try to be very specific.

FIRST: He's not explaining how to get edl via adb.
SECOND: That Android 10 is ready for the Lenovo z6 pro.
THIRD: U can change the launcher, I post all this things one by one.
In first time, this post is for the users that haven't any problem to get android only in English.
Why?
Because, the last TWO updates turn on 4G LTE, making that QPST and QXDM go to the sh..t
And... lets go.
How to get EDL via adb.
Install DRIVERS AND QPST, restart your pc.
Activate USB DEBUGGING, I think that this is not necessary to explain.
Connect your phone to the PC, preferably in the left usb hub.
Go to Shell, and run like Administrator, then type adb reboot edl and press Enter.
Automatically the phone screen will dim as dead, it's a sign of your phone has gone into EDL Mode.
Your pc, recognise the EDL MODE and install the CHINESE ROM via QPST.

IF ALL IS GOOD YOU HAVE THE CHINESE ROM AND ONLY HAVE ENGLISH LANGUAGE.

Only install all the update, one by one, and, the last two have:
FIRST: ANDROID 10, THIS HAVE MORE OR LESS 1.7 Gb.
SECOND: READING THE POST ON https://club.lenovo.com.cn/thread-5667292-1-1.html THE LAST UPDATE REPAIR 150 APN CARRIERS.
GOOD, THIS IS NOT A REALLY TUTORIAL, BUT IF YOU WANT TO GET 4G LTE YOU NEED DO THIS.

To lockback your Bootloader, you only need:
Donwload this .rar archive, this contain the only platform-tools, that lockback the bootloader, another one doesn't work, sorry.

For the lockback users.
Remember that lock the bootloader, format all data and cache, make a backup and
this is the best way to hide the previous unlock, since trying again requires the unlock file.

Man, my thread is now fairly old and is only meant to help anyone interested in moving to CN rom.
I am not really interesting at what you say, but at least the second thing I miss on android 10 is total crap!

Es mejor y más sencillo bajar el archivo para qfil y ejecutarlo como tal. Bajas la actualización más reciente que es la 11.5.334 flasheas y te olvidas de estar actualizando una por una en OTA, y después si quieres la ROM global la flasheas de igual manera por qfil, así le hice yo y tengo 4G también en México.
