Does anyone have the Bell Mobility 1.84.666.2 RRU Executable?
or Bell Mobility 1.34.666.5 RRU executable?
Or know where I can get it?
This is Bell's 1.34.666.1. You should be able to go 1.84.666.x from an OTA update.

I've got 1.34.666.1 installed currently. It can't OTA this version. The OTA to 1.84.666.2 requires you to be at 1.34.666.5.
I'm stuck for this reason.
I had the OTA and ended up regretting in less than a day. Switching from landscape to portrait is pretty damned laggy.
If you're rooted/S-Off and really want 1.8x stock, give http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=960149 a try.

Guys, My Desire is a standard Voda unlocked one, unrooted and I have thankfully NOT downloaded the latest bloatware from VF. I'm going to the USA and Canada this weekend and I want to know if:
1. It's possible that I may offered the chance to update to 2.2 when I'm on an overseas network (using wifi)
2. Should I do it if the offer is there - is there any risk of the phone not working with VF when I get back to the UK?
Root your phone using UnrEVOked, and then apply a rooted 2.2 update manually.
Given that the new hboot from the OTA is currently unrootable, it will give you so many more options down the line.
Regards,
Dave
I don't really want to root to be honest. I'd like to try and stay with all the official updates as I don't feel comfortable doing this to my phone in case I screw it up!
Anyone help with the original question?
When Telus releases the 2.2 update for their HTC Desire, could someone upload the RUU for that? My desire is pretty much bricked. I can't access recovery or my OS, so this RUU may be my only hope.
As you all know, Telus RUU's are impossible to find. I really hope that this isn't an OTA update.
Anyone know if this update will be OTA ? Or will it be offered as a download from their website?
Is there some way for a person to dump the 2.2 RUU when it comes out? I'm assuming ppl can't do that with the 2.1.
Moved to Q&A as not development.
how do i get my upgrade to 2.3?
The same way I got mine at the moment. There is no upgrade for Telus yet. I did the gold card, downgraded, radio/eng s-off, and installed the stock rooted gingerbread rom by Seraphic

If you want 2.3.3 on your telus desire hd
Download The HTC WWE RUU found here
http://driphter.com/index.php?topic=3872.0
(the one added April 29th, if you ever need to return back to the telus build, its there too)
Then Check out my thread here
http://driphter.com/index.php?topic=3867.0
and follow the steps regarding gingerbreak with the toolset I provided if you want to run other roms (its not totally neccessary)
but if you want to delete some system apps like fieldtest, fieldtrial, gsd, and htcfeedback apk's then you'll need to root.
cheers though.
PS: you'll need to enter Telus' APN settings for your data to work though, For my rom, i've added only Bell, Fido and Rogers APN settings in the thread, but I can add Telus ones as well. Cheers
for those that dont know

glad you're with us
I will assume its another marvelc Once your s-off'd, rooting is a breeze. Here's a rootimg shortcut guide for any MetroPCS friends:
1. Go to market and download un-rooting
2. Ignore Chinese subtitles
Roots and unroots our phone quick.
Rob
did I read you guys got a 2.3.5 OTA update? makes finding a RUU urgent
Did I spy that MetroPCS got a 2.3.5 OTA update? You'd be the first marvelc devices to get it. Sadly no OTAs will install s-off; so, anyone found RUUs they want to share they've found for any marvelc phone? ::crickets::
Well, in the meantime if anyone cares fot it, [has s-off'd on MetroPCS and run a nandroid shortly thereafter], I can make you a flashabe stock like VM USA and US Cellular [just pm me if you'd like]. I could also make an update if someone s-offs after updating to 2.3.5 It would complete the trilogy ::shrug::
Rob
Can anyone tell me which RUU I should take for either of those devices? I am not sure which one it is actually. Ill verify that at home with fastboot but for now I know its either Bell or Telus.
Sent from my HTC Raider 4G LTE running ICS.
To do what with? If you want to root, you don't need a branded RUU, a goldcard will enable flashing a WWE version.
If you want to unroot, you can find quite a few RUU's at www.shipped-roms.com, I know they have at least one Bell Mobility rom.

I just wanted to get back to stock because my GF was having problems with that
