Just rooted, radio s-off and eng s-off my DHD and flashed an Android Revolution ROM.
Since flashing I'm unable to receive any calls, even though i have full signal and other functions like e-mail are still working
Anyone have any idea why this has happened??
I've already had to unroot and return to stock one DHD this week to give back to Orange because i thought it was due to a faulty sim or device. Now thinking it has something to do with rooting and flashing as the problem occurs after doing so.
Any help would be much appreciated, don't really want to be ringing up Orange yet again
you can try to flash another rom.
if this doesn't work, try flashing the 1.32 WWE RUU.
if the problem still occurs after flashing the RUU, it's probably a faulty hardware
try to :
1. flash another radio , maybe the recommended one from the rom itself.
if not working,
2. try to flash another rom
if not working,
3. try put other simcard and making call.
if that's also not working,
revert back to stock, and send to htc.

I need to send my Hermes in for repairs on the USB-connector (it's got a short)..I still have warrenty, but I have a strong feeling that they won't do anything with the device if I don't put it back into factory-default (Bootloader, ROM, Radio-ROM)
I think I'll find a way to get the default O2-Germany-ROM on the device (USB is broken, so I need to do all by SD-Card-flashing..), not sure about the Radio-ROM, trouble will be the Bootloader! I have one saying its Olipro 2.10 or something..
anyone know how I can put it all back into factory-default for O2-Germany?
Downgrade your SPL first. And then load o2 original ROM with radio. Do these using SD card method.
done the downgrade, but I can't get rid of the olipros 2.10 hardSPL..might not send it in after all, they'll only charge me for flashing different ROMs around :/
Hi,
I have tried several ROMs on my desire but none of them is working perfectly.
The only rom that somehow makes it possible to work is dj-droid
Leedroid and Chinese rom kept on crashing
The phone keeps crashing if I use it to much. (run a demanding app like waze or o game)
It even crashed when I use the internet for too long.
All of this made me come to a conclusion that there is something wrong with the hardware (feel free to correct me if I’m wrong)
Now I want to get my phone to his stock condition.
I know that I need to download something called a RUU file.
I found this thread, but I can’t figure which ROM should I D\L.
I suppose it should be something marked as WWE and the numbers are the radio version.
From what I can see my radio version is 32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2 (found in setting-> about phone -> Software information Baseband version) is it really the radio or I’m looking at the wrong place?
Can I use any RUU file is there a specific RUU should I D\L because in the thread I found the highs radio version is 32.30.00. If I need a specific ROM can some please point to the right direction.
Also I’ll be happy is some will explain to me what are the steps to install the RUU file, or is it same thing as installing a custom ROM ?
Please feel free to throw any other suggestions that might help to set my desire to it’s proper condition.
Thank in advance
Mark
P.S
I had froyo 2.2 and my HBOOT is 0.93.001
In order to return to stock, just connect the phone to the pc and run the RUU (it's just an exe file). The latest OFFICIAL European rom is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=828519
That will upgrade HBOOT and Radio, you really need that. In case you'll need to get root access, just download unrevoked (google it), but remember to uninstall HTC Sync in case you have it installed before running it.
After rooting, just reflash the rom of your choice and keep the new radio, just don't change it, it's superb.
Hint: before flashing any rom on top of each other, remember to wipe cache, dalvik cache, and user data, so you won't get any crash.
To restore data I suggest MyBackup Pro, gives less issues than Titanium Backup.
You need a gold card to flash anything other than the one that originally came with the phone. Radio is irrelevent

Radio is responsible of many crashes: an old radio not compatible with the camera app gives FCs.
Why would he need a goldcard if he already rooted?? To go back to stock just enter in the bootloader, select fastboot, connect via usb, start the RUU and you're done.
Thanks,
I'll try the attched RUU and update with the result.
BTW
is the there posibility i'll brik my phone during this procedure ?
Oh and i anderstand that i need a goldcard only if my phone is/was branded.
Ok, I managed to restore the phone but after the installation it entered to a boot loop.
I let the phone rest for 2 or 3 minutes and it started up perfectly.
I suspect that if I'll stress my it's get too hot and crushes.
Any suggestion how can I confirm this theory ?
How did you get it out that boot loop? Resting? Did you take out the battery or smth?
Yes,
I had to to that several time before the phone started to work.

If the OP has a branded phone and wants to flash a stock unbranded RUU you need a gold card. Radio is irrelevent in the flashing of an RUU as you get the correct radio for the ROM included in it
I am just asking because I am trying to flash the Rooted , A2SD+ version of this ROM and after flash it just keeps looping (when the little green android logo appears and the phone vibrates) and does that on and on and on. Maybe I have to wait more.
Which ROM have you come from? IF it wasn't a Sense-based ROM you'll have to do a full wipe before booting

I came from exactly this one (latest OTA). It was rooted and as clockwork recovery did not work , I flashed Amonra. I did a full wipe, I formatted the SD card and then partitioned it, I did everything from scrap. I am almost certain I am missing astep or smth. Phone shows S-ON, maybe amonra doesnt get read of Security...?? I am not very good at this stuff, but any other ROM I flash works, except for the latest OTA (rooted and with A2SD- there is a post here on the forum containing it).
OR you mean a full wipe AFTER flashing, and before the first boot??
Chapter 2 – Return of the Desire
Hi again
First of all I want to thank you all for your assistance I had no problem to activate the warranty.
It seems that the constant reboot issue was a know issue of the A8181 series so my original phone was sent to HTC.
Finely I got the phone back and according to what I've been told it's a new device.
When I tried to use the phone I noticed that the APN settings were not transformed from the SIM card to the phone
(did not had that problem before I shipped the phone).
I tried to ran the RUU I used before and It seemed like I'm also going to gain an upgrade from 2.10.405.2 to 2.29.405.2 .
With a heart full of joy I'm pressing the next button and when the status bar reaches the "updating signature" I get the " Error [131] customer ID" error.
Noting I do seems to help fixing the problem.
I managed to root the phone, I flashed the LeeDroid rom, but i still can't run the RUU.
Any suggestions how do I fix the problem ?
I don't think my phone is branded as I bought an online store and from my provider.
Thanks in advance
You need a goldcard.
Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
Ok, I tried with the GoldCard, still the same error.
I'm trying to install.
RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.29.405.2_Radio_32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_151783_signed.
Also i see notification on that tells me that it is safe to remove my SD card.
Can you access your sdcard on your phone?
Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
nope,
can't access it at all
I think that's your problem then.
Have tried removing it, cleaning the contacts etc?
Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
I think i messed the card in the proccess of making it a GC
The phone keeps telling me that it's sage to remove it
I dont have this problem when i insert my ap2sd card
try reformatting / remaking your goldcard.
HTH
Hi guys!
First : 2 months ago I've got the reboot-issue usually when i try use mobile network.
Sometimes i experience the problem after couple of minutes of playing with any game on my phone.
Which company i should send back the phone:- dial-a-phone , - orange , -htc.
Second : I tried to unroot the device but htc sync(3.0.5511) is not recognising it.
My phone is running Gingervillain 1.1 (gingerbread 2.3).Should i try downgrade first?
Anyone experienced this?Any suggestion?I wouldnt be worry if i know that i can send the phone back like this and they will return it with the stock rom without risking to lose the warranty.
Thanks in advance.
i would suggest flashing the WWE RUU before sending it back to Orange/HTC.
You will need a goldcard to do this if you dont already have one.
Do a search in XDA and you will find instructions on how to do it.
The RUU you want is 2.29.405.2 which you can download here...
http://shipped-roms.com/download.ph...9.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_151783_signed.exe
This will get you back to HTC stock, no root etc...
There isnt currently a way to get back to true Orange stock
thanks mike!
I am sending in my phone to get it repaired. The phone has been rooted. Unrooting it shouldnt be a problem but which ROM do I flash ?
Thanks
Look in Desire HD Android Development and choose one.
Mine is LeeDroid's and I find it good and stable. Never tried another one.

I'd flash your stock RUU from here
most preferbly the stock rom which comes together with your phone
Thanks guys
I would flas a 1.32.405.6 RUU, root and do an S-ON as explained at the and of first post in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=857537
I am not able to flash a RUU as my laptop does not identify my phone for some reason. Unless there is another way of doing it.
Restore the nadroid back-up that you hopefully did before flashing a custom rom.
I am still having problems flashing the stock ROM 1.32.405.6 RUU.When I connect my phone to the laptop and try to flash it, it either tells me that the Battery is below 30 % (which is isn't) or error 170 USB connection error (It can not connect to the Phone)
I had a problem with SD card and lost the backup ROM that I had.
Any ideas?
did you install HTC Sync for the drivers on your laptop?
I managed to sort it in the end.
Thanks guys for all your help
I think you should to use Android Revolution (mike1986). This is best ROM for DHD
Hello,
I own a HTC One V that is t-mobile(germany)-branded.
I s-off'ed it using the official HTC procedure and then rooted it using this guide (theandroidsoul.com/root-one-v).
Ever since then, I am having connection problems, as in, no connection unless I reboot it. This especially occurs while talking on the phone,
but also at random. I then attempted to apply the RUU_PRIMO_U_ICS_40A_HTC_Europe_2.08.401.2_Radio_20.72.30.0833U_3831.17.00.18_M_release_263376_signed.exe following tutorials
-> first, locking the bootloader, then flash the recovery, then apply the RUU - flashing the recovery worked, however, the RUU failed because the CID does not match. Changing to SuperCID does not seem to be possible at the moment.
Plus, ever since I flashed the RUU recovery, I can't change sounds anymore, so whenever I try to change alarms/ringtones/notification sounds, the personalizer oder settings application crashes.
In order to check if the connection issue is related to the rooting process (and if it isn't, to get it replaced by t-mobile) I need to revert to the stock t-mobile ROM, however, I can't find any.
Is there any other way to solve this dilemma or can you help me?

Now just hold on a sec. You can't S-Off at the moment, as far as I know, and there is no HTC software for it. You just unlocked the bootloader, to give yourself some priviledges, but that is not S-Off, so you cannot change the CID of the phone (or debrand it).
Stock ROM for T-Mobile is not available at the moment (or at least for the public) Ask Football for it, but it will cost some EUR for you.
If the RUU sees anything wrong with the phone (including CID) it won't even start flashing the device, so it cannot do any harm for you. But since you unlocked BL I suggest to install custom firmware to see if anything is wrong with the hardware. Just be sure to do a nandroid backup before, so you can revert to the "stock" if possible.
