Suddenly earlier tonight, all of my notes were lost, the widgets left blank, displaying 'note does not exist' when I try clicking them. All the notes were lost within the app too.
I just found it very puzzling and wondering if it happened to anyone else. I had a backup but from a few weeks back....argh.
Man I like colornote but I had some problems like that in the past o recommended you to use catch note it doesn't have the nice Widgets but it has a lot features and you can sync it with your Google account so if you flash another rom or you erase the apparently you can log in with Google.and you'll have all your notes I have it on my evo and ios devices and love the app

Colornote Sync deletes my data
- I inadvertently deleted all my notes
- Easily restored them using my sdcard backup
- Problem is when I turn sync back on it deletes all my notes
- I believe it is looking to the cloud as the most current status, seeing it empty (since I deleted everything) and syncing all that emptiness to my phone, erasing my freshly restored notes.
- How can I get sync properly operational again ?
Thanx !

Guys, I seriously and urgently need help over here
I accidentally deleted something important notes (the built in HTC note apps), I searched all over the internet but those recovery softwares only recover images/videos.
So, is there a way to recover my deleted notes ? :'( It's my final year project thing.....
arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I'm going out on a limb here (and please don't hit me if it's bogus , but isn't the note app just a reskinned evernote? have you connected the app with any account? Evernote usually keeps a history, but it's only visible when you have a paid account. Maybe you can get it this way...
i did not use evernote anyway.
By the way I found the solution, luckily I have note widgets on the workspace, it automatically generates .png image files for my notes whenever it displays the note as widget. I found the .png file !!! thank goddddddddd
PROBLEM SOLVED !!:laugh::good:

Hi,
I'm new here and I'm in a pickle! I also accidentally deleted an important note (from scribble) and need to recover it. I've seen files for recovering music and photo but nothing on note file. Has anyone been successful in recovering their deleted note?
Login with gmail account or whatever. Because HTC saves Scribble data on internet. You can sync easily.
Sorry for your loss, but if you have set up to sync before, you might be able to recover your deleted notes from the trash of Google Drive.
For the past 7 days I've been unable to sync my Samsung account and receive the following message in settings: 'Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly.' Has anyone else experienced this and is there a way to get it syncing again?
Thanks in advance
Have tried deleting the account and redoing it again (re-typing ur credentials)with sync enabled?

This solution seems to have worked, thank you. Before I removed my account, I did a full backup via Kies. I realised removing my Samsung account deleted my S Notes, so I tried to restore them from my backup, but after a 'successful' restore, half of my notes are missing.
The notes that are missing were in a folder named 'Notes.' I tried to create a new 'Notes' folder, but apparently this folder name is already in use. Searching for the folder brings up no matches, so where is it?!
Upon further investigation, all my missing notes and memos are still in my S Note directory, but for some strange reason they're not showing up in the app. Any ideas?
Hi everyone,
I had a question that hopefully someone can help me with. I have been searching all over the internet but cannot seem to find an answer to this. i was getting a few bugs in my HTC Desire HD phone and decided to do a factory reset. I backed up my SMS, Contacts and Applications. I also copied the entire SD card onto my computer with the thought that if I missed anything the files would still be there.
Well when I was doing the restore I suddenly realised I hadn't included a backup of my bookmarks (default Android browser0 and Shazam tags. I have a rooted phone but cannot seem to find any files in there for the bookmarks or tags in Shazam. Would those have been wiped when I did a factory reset?
If not where in the SD card where the files be?
Thanks!

Dang, thanks anyway:good:
Bookmarks can be backed up to your Google account, they should auto restore after adding Google in "settings - accounts".
Shazam and other apps are usually stored in phone memory unless you moved it to phone.

so something weird happened to my phone, i somehow have 3 sd partions lol. first is the normal /sdcard but all my stuff is not there only like 3 of my recent downloads, then there is /storage/sdcard0 where there is yet again nothing but my last three downloads plus when i connect via usb whatever i transfer seems to go there. and lastly is /mnt/sdcard which has nothing yet again. now when i use twrp to install something it shows all my old downloads which i cant find in any of these three locations.
ok so as i was typing i found where all my crap is. it is in each sdcard under a folder named 0 for some reason. any way to go back to having just one sd card and having everything in there instead of this 0 folder?

This happened to me as well.
Just connect to a laptop and copy everything from the ) folder to the parent folder and it'll eventually merge everything. Delete the extraneous folders after wards.

This happened to me too, and apparently between all of my gmail accounts they only saved 1 contact. Strangest thing I've seen yet.
Anyway, I was going to get all down n' nirty tonight.. and dig around in some of my recent backups to see if I can pull the files I need. However, I'm glad I read this, as there's always a much clearer solution. Thank you.
Also, I hate to do this here, but I have a post quota, apparently. Is there a way to test other options from aroma other than reinstalling? I couldn't find that other thread to ask there, or verify whether my question is relevant.
Thanks,

Of course you can test other options without reinstalling. For example, if you're on v14, which you should be since its stable, just flash the ROM again, choose the last option for wipe options so it doesn't wipe your data, and pick the additional changes you want. It'll install ontop of your current setup and not effect data.

I have 2 clockworkmods on my external sdcard. One is of course clockworkmod and the other i named original clockworkmod. Firstly if i try restore them i get a md5 mismatch and yes i have opened the nandroid.md5 and wiped it, but the eror still occurs. So i dont want them. I keep deleteing them and not even 5 mins later they are back. I copyied everything to my pc and formatted my ext sdcard and copyied everything back but thos 2 directories. And know and god knows how they have came back again. I have disabled samsung link, google drive and all other programs as such. Could it be my gmail accounts. I hate sync and never used it but i synced my gmail accounts just last week. Could this be the problem. Plz any help would be great

Ahh, I see it's You back again
Gmail shouldn't sync anything, so it shouldn't be the reason.
Maybe those files are kept under "emulated/0/" or just in the "0" folder on the sdcard.
Make sure You delete them also (if You have "0" folder).

I will give that a go but I think its my ext sdcard. I have had a another problem, I was at work and came across some damaged goods so I took a good 7 photos of them. I was looking at them for about 15 to 20 mins. a few hours later got back to work and came to show my boss and they were gone. I was thinking wtf so I took a few photos of just anything waited a while check and they also disappeared. I then took a photo and moved it to my internal memory and its fine. I am thinking my ext sdcard is corrupt or got a virus or something. anybody got any ideas or had the same problem ????? I just checked using root browser and found emulated/0 and they are not in there. under emulated I have a "0" directory and a "legacy" directory. both don't have any clockworkmod backups. man this really doing my head in

I think you must be using some sort of unwanted (or wrong configured) program.
Try freezing all of your apps, make a try with with files, defreeze some of the apps and repeat the whole procedure until You find a guilty program.
It takes a lot of time, but it's worth of it.
You can also try fining programs that can be guilty just by checking permissions, which apps are allowed to write on sdcard.
The sdcard can't delete files by itself, you must have some program that does that. Check all of Your apps if the configuration is right, idk. some backup programs, hosting programs and also make a virus check!
I hope You will be able to find it soon.
