Hello...
I need some help about my case, and here it is:
I installed AuraxTSense 8.4 ROM for HTC Desire, and it has its own theme. Then i installed the original HTC sense theme provided by the creator of the ROM (Which should be compatible with the ROM). But i noticed that when i connect the phone to the PC and choose -for example- Charge only, and then i pull down the notification bar, the "Charging icon" doesn't appear, whereas the USB debugging icon just under it appears properly. This happened also when i receive a message, when i pull down the notification bar, the icon doesn't show, only "New Message" shows. (BTW this problem does not appear with AuraxTSense own theme, it just appeared when flashing the original HTC sense theme provided by the creator)
I have another ROM (StarBurst), the original HTC sense theme in it is working %100, so my question is:
Is there a way to take/extract the theme files from StarBurst and flash them on AuraxTSense using Clockworkmod?
If yes, what are the files i need, and how do i get them into the zip file? (as i can see some other files in the flashable zip file like the ones inside META-INF)
I really would like to know if that is possible, as i tried UOT kitchen but it didn't help.
Thanks.
Please help guys!
No suggestions???
Accept the theme or check out the themeing instructions in android development and hacking. You not the first person that wants to theme a rom.

Hello all, I've been flashing my roms for a long time now, and I'd like to think I'm not much of a newbie here, but there is one thing that is ruining me. I've asked on the thread where the rom has been posted, but no answers.
The Rom in question is AuraxTSense 7.6.1.
Is there a way to get rid of all transparency and just have it look like Sense? (not that I want sense. LauncherPro is my cup of tea) but the transparency on the keyboard, the transparent dock at the top and the dropdown menu looking grey isn't to my fancy. So is there a way to get rid of all transparency? I haven't tried flashing "original theme" from the first page yet, but I will do if it gets rid.
Running NexTSense v6.0 atm and would love to upgrade to the newest version as I do like what Neo is doing with his roms. They are stable and not so battery hungry (that'll be another day to find out the best radio).
Thanks,
Dan

flash the original theme will get rid of the expressobar, flash a diffrent taskbar will get rid of the transparant taskbar and notifiction pull down, and use adb to remove and push the original htc_ime.apk to get the old one back, you could also make your own htc_ime mod at www.gimpsta.com and use that instead
Well flashing the original theme will get rid of it and return theme to stock sense(not espresso), but he states it is for 5.0, so if he have changed anything else in the .apk's it flashes, it might change other things. but i would say go ahead, make a nandroid and try it. Alternatively you could pull the the following from 6.0 and add them to a zip file:
- framework-res.apk
- com.htc.resources.apk
- Rosie.apk
- HtcLockScreen.apk
Those are the one's included in the original theme zip. (edit: also many of the widgets are edited, if you want to change back, pull those from 6.0 as well)
Btw. i love the transparency, and i'm using the rom myself. Only thing missing is transparrent message area, when pulled down. For the keyboard. Just use the "HTC ime mod" which is also included
Cheers for your help guys. I'm gonna check both of them out. Making my own keyboard seems a great idea because I have big thumbs and always hit the . button and would like to get rid of the language. Would be fun times. I do like HTC_IME Mod too tbh, flawless!

Well, I'd just like to confirm that all this worked. I got the AuraxTSense 7.6.1 and NexTSense 6.0 and took all the files out of the 6.0, put them in to a zip file with all of AuraxTSense 7.6.1 and flashed it (after doing Nandroid just incase).
Only thing is the Keyboard didn't get rid of the transparency, but seeing as their is the Multitouch Keyboard, as well as HTC_IME Mod, it's fine!

now this rom has this new file overlay system, you might just be able to replace the htc_ime.apk with the stock one using a file explorer

Which rom are you using? i also have been waiting to change my dialer cause i didnt like the look of my one! & have had to use dialer lite from the market but now i have modded my own Htcdialer.apk & phone.apk & also my framework on the latest Leedroid rom.... if you are on that rom & would like to use my themed look i can share my Leedroid modded rom & also UOT Kitchen mod with you. It has a dark look to it but also with colorful goodlooking status bar icons! If your intrested just ask & i will provide you with the two zip files via a private message.
To apply these zips you will just need to put both files on the root of your sd card, boot into recovery, wipe cache, wipe factory settings, then go into advanced mode & wipe the dev cache, now install the Leedroid zip, reboot.... wait.... wait.... once loaded up (may take upto 5mins or a lil over) ,now do the 1st reboot, once loaded up again now go to recovery, install UOT Kitchen mod, reboot & thats it.... enjoy your new themed rom with custom dialer, status icons & more
I want to change the notification screen to this one, is it possible? how can I do it?
Not sure I can see the identical screenshot, but there are very similar themes in JKay's theme mod thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1154278
Or maybe try the uot kitchen?
http://uot.dakra.lt/
it is a screenshot from Steel Blue CM7 Theme for SGS2
how can I use this theme with my rom?
This is my baseband version: I9100TJJKF3
my kernel: 2.6.35.7-I9100TJJKG1
build number: GINGERBREAD.JJKG1
Oh right - you could have said so...
Seems like you need a custom ROM first - choose one then the installation seems pretty straightforward, all you need is in that thread (Steel Blue thread)
If it's your first time for a custom ROM, read, read, read and search
If I will flash the custom rom and then re-flesh to my rom the theme will be gone? I have to use the custom rom all the time for this theme?
Sorry, I'm not concentrating or reading enough myself
There are themes for stock firmwares there - see post#2 - but not yours (KF3).
So if you want this theme on stock firmware, you'll have to choose another stock ROM (KF2 for example).
Yes, if you reflash stock over a custom ROM you'll lose the theme.
If it's only the notification bar you want and nothing else, I'd try the uot kitchen if I were you. I've not tried it myself, but it seems user-friendly, supports stock ROMs and you can customise just about everything.
I dont know how to use the uot kitchen, can you please help me?
I want to change the notification screen and bar to solid black, like on the pic I posted
Sorry - as said, I've never used it, and I'm offline for the next few hours.
Hope someone else can help.
Decompile SystemUI.apk, browse to /res/drawables-hdpi/ and find the picture you want to change, replace it, compile it and switch the drawables-hdpi folder in the apk

can you please explain step by step how to do it?
I'm new to android. I know how to flash roms and kernels but that's it.....
As I'm sure Bruflot is well aware of, his "advice" is something that someone new to this shouldn't touch with a bargepole.. I'm still new enough not to try...
Just tried a quick go with the uot kitchen and it will do what you want, just play with it. The "generate preview" will help enormously. If I had time I'd do it for you, but screaming kiddies await me...
@Bruflot - fy fy
Just created a change in the status bar, fancied some different colour icons and the circle battery. So I used UOT kitchen.
I am running ARHD 7.0.4 and have rctweak v4 flashed.
Anyway, I created the mods in the kitchen I wished to use, uploaded the three files required from the rom.
I have since flashed the cooked zip, unfortunately the lockscreen has not changed (I selected Cyanogen), the status bar icons are still default white. In fact the only thing that changed is the battery icon which is now a circular battery icon as requested.
Is this normal?
In the uot kitchen you only needed two files from the rom
1. The framework file in the framework folder
2. systemUI in the app folder was all you needed to upload.
Thats probably where you are running into your issues you added to many files to the uot.

Try wiping cache and dalvik before flashing the zip.
Also you uploaded the right amount of files so I wouldn't worry there. It needs three for sense roms and two for aosp. It would only matter if you have a sense Rom and didn't upload the HTC framework. Sometimes too UOT doesn't know what to do with a certain file, especially on sense, because the layout of the file is different on newer versions. You could see if they have the version of Arhd on the droplist of specific roms instead of uploading the files by yourself.

I think the issue is with having RCtweak v4 installed. I'm guessing this changes the framework file and possibly SystemUI during flashing? Perhaps RCtweaks and the UOT changes don't play nicely?

Carefully select right folders for your rom in UOT Kitchen -> File upload -> Flashing folders for system files
Good luck!
Ok, now running ARHD 6.3, having the same problem.
Created the mods I wanted to use, uploaded the three files needed and then grabbed my cooked zip from the kitchen.
Flashed this but only the battery has changed. I requested the status bar icons be changed too and did select an icon package (g15 androidian), but these did not change.
I have cleared the cache and reflashed the kitchen zip but the same result.
I also checked the kitchen listing, this rom is not in there so I have no option but upload the framework, ui and htc framework file.
Hey guys,
I really need help on changing the battery icon on my galaxy s3. I jusr hate how it looks. so I downloaded a program called ROM Toolbox Pro (im sure you've heard of it), installed it and downloaded the icon pack (Circular Colourful). I installed it and none of my battery icons changed. I restarted SystemUI.apk and nothing happened. I did a reboot and nothing happened. keep in mind that iam rooted and have custom recovery. i asked a question/ made a post on the bootloop that I encountered when changing SystemUI.apk, but I fixed it. so could someone help me solve this problem?
Thanks
Nevermind, fixed: just installed previous version.

Same Problem
Hi I was just curious what you meant by previous version. I am having the same problem. I'm rooted, running a custom ROM and I was able to change my boot animation fine with Rom Toolbox Pro, but it's not changing the Battery Icons I chose.

As an option, this a very cool statusbar icon creator you use from a PC to make a flashable zip. Some of the settings need to be tweaked to assign the proper names to the pngs. for example. the signal output has to be renamed tw_stat_sys_6_level_signal_ so it replaces the proper files on our phone. I also found success using a working, flashable zip that replaces the battery icons and just replacing the images in that file with the ones i made and rezipping. Its very easy, but seems more geared toward international S3's, so thats why it needs a couple tweaks. The options for colors and styles is pretty impressive!
