GREATLY APPRECIATED .................
I have found that just switching the ROM doesn't mean you have the best settings for battery life. Right now I run bonsai4, and with many personal settings to help prolong the battery and get somehwere between 22-30 hours of battery like with my daily use habits.

Syndicate Frozen 1.2 is best IMO (for now).
Less ppl seem to experience problems on it since its a ROM that's been worked on for a while, not to mention its branded with the legendary "ACS quality." AA's 2.3 Gingerbread EXT4 is also really good, but I will wait for an official release of 2.3 before I cross over. Either one is fully functioning, fast, and great with battery (YMMV)

The true answer to this is, too obtain your favorite rom after trying, THEN modifying it a bit to your personal likes and wants.

Syndicate Frozen 1.2 is great! Great speed improvements and the battery life lasts me two days.
AA's i2 is sickly fast and battery seem to be great so far but for best battery life I'd good with Baked Snack v2.4 hands down! I could go for a lil over 2 days w/o charging when running 2.3 which was out months ago and 2.4 just came so I could only guess its better than before! I didnt run v2.4 for too long since AA droped i1 n i2 but for the days that I had v2.4 battery life was sick!

I love syndicate ROM v1.2 too. But, after a week on v1.1 I kept getting popups saying that there is a problem with 'Google Services Framework (process com.google.process.gapps)' stopping unexpectedly. After about a week on v1.2 I am having the same problem, just not as frequently.

Try not to make thread titles to vague next time. Although you got a lot of good replies this time you may not be as lucky on the next. Plus its easier for people to find answers when they're searching if the topic is clearly defined. Welcome to the board. Don't let the trolls intimidate/annoy you.
I personally use SFR 1.2 w/ Genocide 1.0.
I'm looking for a asop rom that has amazing stability reasoble battery life for the moderate user and something that will take well to extended batteries
Optional
Easy theming support
Nice smooth network setting etc
And maybe underclock and havs

CM7 + Tiamat kernel + vipermod = Game winner. I can get 3 days on it. Though I have tested leaving my 3G on 24/7, and I have pulled 1 day 6hrs @ 44% battery life, so its a win-win either way.

So I decided to go back to an Epic instead of an Evo. I had the Epic when it first came out up until around January. Last things I remember from the Epic development scene was Herver and his Baked Snack Roms and Kernels. (what ever happened to him anyways?) I am obviously in no way familiar with the current crop of roms and kernels and would appreciate suggestions on where to start and I'll test combos to see what works best for me. Froyo and Gingerbread based Roms please.

I too am looking for the best battery life and I'm having trouble getting it. Currently trying out latest random rom for EC05 and its decent but nothing amazing, I've also loaded the super V6 memory script and the battery just doesn't hold up very well. Where can I get the old baked snack roms?
Sorry to let you guys down, but I can't seem to find the files for baked snack. I'll keep looking though.
i had excellent battery life on the bonsai rom and kernel
Rebirth + Genocide, 38 hrs. moderate use........
Syndicate frozen 1.2 and genocide 2.0 give me the best battery and stability so far, but random rom is a very close second, and then probably viper synergy 5.0. The gb leaks were good with battery too, but I had too many fc issues with them. I would love to try this baked snack I keep reading about though. I've seen a lot of random posts here and there mentioning it, and always boasting about the battery life on it. A pm with any info on its whereabouts would be greatly appreciated. Then again, syndicate 1.3 seems to be just around the corner too, so I'm really interested to see what's in store with that as well.

I am hooked on random rom hawk, battery life is amazing. It usually only drops about 1-2% an hour for me sitting idle. I have heard urban warfare is very good on battery life as well. Gingerbread leak roms are still pretty unstable at this point though. Only try them if you have a good backup procedure down, and are prepared to get hit with force closes and random reboots at any given time. If you need the stability, stick with EC05 roms.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
I've tried several roms froyo and gb and the best battery and performance I seen was with randomroms 2.3. Rom but the random reboots kept pissing me off so I wentt to pheonix and its been pretty good I hadbetter battery life with hawk but this is better for now.
I also would like to try backed snack so if anyone has the url t the rom or anything can you please let me know
I found one rom a long time ago butit was 2.1 so I didn't like it I kno there is a froyo one but I can't find it anywhere if anyone has it it would be greatly appreciated if you shared it.

I would recc. simply asop4. an update to the rom is also coming so be prepared for that. then get setcpu and UV the voltages as you wish. I have -25 200-600 and -50 800-1000 and finally -25 >1000.

So i am completley new to xda and the rooting world. Ivd learned a lot and cannot seem to stop flashing new roms, themes, and kernals. Big props to all you developers because this has easily become my new hobby. Im starting to do mods and was wondering if there is a battery mod that will extend my battery life. I cant seem to find one for battery life, all i can find are percentage mods. Im running jugs 4.1, an ics theme, and bullets 2.9 kernal. Thanks in advanced, the xda community is awesome!!!

Whats a mod for battery life? and why cant you reply in Andr Devt section?
I dont think there is such a thing to extend battery life, a lot of people say if you use the app Juice Defender from the market that it makes the battery last a lot longer, I've never tried it but people swear by it, and to comment on the development section, i believe you have to have a minimum of posts to ur name, I believe its 10 or 15

Busy box is a test to see if you are rooted; unless you are sharing big files.
If you have to be convinced to flash a rom I have no advice for you. Trust me its better

This is my first rooted phone as well and I notice big differences with roms. I was using Jugs4.1 for a while and my phone was way faster and had better battery life. Along with the quick toggles and ability to change the battery icon i felt like it was a very different experience. Right now I am trying out bombardier rom and the battery life is AMAZING!! I consistently get 20+ hrs and I am a pretty heavy user. Id say just try out different roms and then go back to stock and you should see the difference.

Busybox is not a test to see if you're rooted............wtf with the false info.
Busybox is the source of most of the advanced commands associated with root access.
