so i just got my g2 and rooted using root file from the developsection
rooted, downloaded cm 7, wiped cache, then flash cm7
im stuck at cyanogen boot screen. anyidea?
didnt think it would make anyproblem, in samsung vibrant we had a file called odin where we can reflash,
right now i have no usbcable...am i f**ked?
edit: Fixed it but i get boot reboot when i try to turn on the wifi?
There's a problem with current Gingerbread 2.3.3 ROMs where the first Wi-Fi switch on after a wipe/first boot causes a bootloop - just pull the battery once you enable it, it's how I got around it.

If you're coming from the stock ROM, you need to wipe everything (data/factory reset) or you're going to run into problems.

i see everyone say pulling the battery... once it bootloops and turns back on you have enough time to hold the power button and do a manual reboot after that it will stop the bootloop
Thanks doing the factory reset and reflashing fixed it

Im currently running the synergy rom on my evo 4g. After playing around with the settings and what-not, i decided to flash a kernel. Well i flashed one via kernel manager and when my phone rebooted all i got was a continuous message saying that process.android.acore has stopped working and i have to force close it. It repeatedly does this with no end. So once again i rebooted it. Its now stuck in a boot loop, any way to fix this? Also, once fixed will it do the same thing again and again?
please help
If you did a nandroid, just go into recovery and flash that. Or use a different Rom and flash that.

okay thanks, i got out of the bootloop, but i also had to got back to stock gingerbread, is it possible for me to reflash synergy? Because it seems that its backup is corrupted.
Yes, backup your current rom, then do a full wipe, then flash synergy.
Hi there,
My Defy was on Quarx's 0308 CM9 (With CM7 Kernel), when I tried to install Walters Kernel using 4.5.2-109_DHT-22-kernel.zip. After doing this it did not go past the "M" logo upon reboot.
I then read that others had flashed the fixed DHT-22 kernel to fix this issue. I accidentally selected the wrong SBF (JRDNEM_U3_3.4.3-11_BLUR_SIGNED) and I am now stuck in a boot loop. Could anyone please help me figure this out?
Thanks in advance
Can you get into recovery ? , have you tried full wipe , data, catch+dalvik

No can't get into recovery, only into bootloader to flash sbf's.

I was in your situation last week (stuck at m logo), so i flashed a 2.2 sbf, then rooted, installed recovery and installed ics again with correct kernel,
That is the way i done it, its a long way around but I'm not sure if there is a faster way sorry,

i have today this problem.
i found china sbf 2.2.2 work on my defy flash root boot cm7 and cm9
Thanks for the response, I'm busy downloading another SBF to try that, will give feedback and thanks, if I prevail!
Ok, I'm back in action. The issue was that I needed to wipe user data and cache using the standard restore (I think that's what it's called). Anyway instead of looking for a SBF that makes it work, I accessed the standard restore by holding volume - while powering up, then wiped user data and cache, which stopped the boot loop after the reboot.
Now I'm back onto CM9
Glad That Worked me too faced alot probs with CM7 and 9
After installing Cyanogenmod 9 on the One X I started to notice extremely poor signal, Mobile and Wi-Fi. Also the phone would crash and randomly reboot when doing simple tasks such as opening messages etc.
Upon trying to get into recovery to install a different rom, the phone now flashes on a black screen and restarts the phone.
To try and solve this issue, I unrooted the phone and restored to stock recovery.
I then re-rooted the phone and installed clockworkmod recovery again.
I can now access clockworkmod recovery although it seems to have no effect. Installations of any rom fail and cyanogenmod always pops straight back up again after rebooting.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Does anyone have a way to fix this? Possibly to force the phone completely back to stock?
You can try first "SuperWipe" (from ARHD's thread) and flash a new ROM (don't forget boot.img before...)

Unfortunately I can't help you with SuperWipe, but you can find the HOX stock ROMs here.

Ran superwipe and tried to install the stock rom. Superwipe ran fine and did the job, although the rom installation still failed as it was doing before and I am now stuck with a htc bootloop. The device won't boot into recovery either. Any ideas anyone?

Did you try holding down the Power and Volume Down buttons while in the bootloop to enter the bootloader? Hold them down until the lights start to flash, the screen goes off and then the bootloader comes up.
If you can get into recovery with that, factory reset, clear cache and dalvik cache (under advanced) then try install the ROM.
I'm not the best person to be helping, but I hope that works for you!
I had a similar problem once where the phone would just sit on the HTC One X screen, and trying to go into recovery just put the phone back to the HTC screen. I fixed it by flashing the boot.img, factory reseting, clearing out caches and installing the ROM again. No problems since.
I'm afraid if this doesn't work, I may have to abandon you and let someone else take over, as I'm no expert, but I'll see what I can do to help.
Edit: sorry, it is 2AM here and I need some rest for an early start at 6AM. I will check up on this thread when I wake.

FIXED!!!
To anyone else having this problem, I downloaded ARHD Flashboot 7.0.0 and ARHD 7.0.0, followed the instructions on what to do and installed ARHD successfully.
This has now completely gotten rid of Cyanogenmod and seems to have got clockworkmod working again.
It's probably work using the "Fix Permissions" option in ROM manager before you attempt this as I believe that is what got clockworkmod working and able to install files again. (I may be wrong)
Thankyou for everyone's assistance.

I've tried to flash the two different ROMs out for JB and for some reason it is not getting past the Nexus Logo Boot screen. I can flash any ICS ROM but JB never gets past the boot screen. I've been flashing ROMs since the OG Droid and have never experienced this before.
Steps already taken:
1) Full wipe
2) Format of system and data
3) executed Super Wipe Script
4) Battery Pulls
5) Backed out of CWM and unmounted system and data
6) Flashed Various AOKP and AOSP ROMs and tried to JB ROM from those ICS ROMs
7) Performed a factory restore of the phone using WugFresh's ToolKit (un-rooted and locked phone) and then Rooted, unlocked, and flashed CWM again
8) Flashed Team Win Recovery and re-flashed JB ROMs
I have tried everything I can think of and yet nothing has worked. Has anyone Else experienced this or does anyone have any suggestions on what I can possibly do to get past the Nexus Boot screen? Thanks in advance.

I've tried Liquid Vicious Versions 1-3 and BAMF Versions 1.0 and 1.2. Thanks for the updated BAMF...I'll try that one now.
I am having the same problem as you, I flashed multiple JB roms and it is stuck at the X screen. I can flash ics roms easily tho.
I had the freeze at logo issue a few times while I was trying to get my JB up and running.
1. I got superwipe from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20473980
2. I dl JellyBelly and GApps from http://rootzwiki.com/topic/28677-rom-jelly-belly-v17-07012012-jellybean-41-its-all-about-speed/
3. Cleared cache/factory reset
4. Flashed and used superwipe
5. Flashed JellyBelly then GApps
I had to wait about 5 minutes while it booted. Hope this helps, yall.
I'll definitely try those steps...Thanks!

Same here, I've tried just about every rom out there now and have cleaned the phone out several times. Wonder if there is anyone who had a boot longer than 20 minutes and finally was able to get it to boot, wonder what they did to get it to boot. I've waited hours with some of these roms and still no luck.

wipe data/factory reset -> wipe cache partition -> wipe dalvik -> format /system -> format /data -> format/cache. I've tried super wipe. All Roms never get passed the boot animation. I get past the "Google" unlock symbol, but it just sits at the boot animation. It doesn't reboot or anything, just sits there for hours or when I get bored looking at it after about 30 minutes or so.

Not going to happen man...I've tried EVERYTHING and have gotten feedback from various devs to no avail. All I get is Nexus boot logo FOREVER.
Solution is to flash it back to stock (plus unroot and re-lock) and then take it in to a store and get another one shipped to you since it's still under the annual warranty. As for the issue for bringing it in, just say it boot loops at random times (that's not technically a lie).

Have you tried flashing the JB Boot loader and then flashing the JB ROM??

I just dont get it, everytime I flash a rom from external sd, with twrp it sticks on galaxy s4 boot screen, when I restore nand it sticks on same screen when choose reboot system, and this is all even before my restores...after a factory data reset clearing cache and dalvik. the only time it boots, is when I format system by typing YES in twrp then restore my backup, and it reboots.
Same goes for cwm recovery. It does same thing when I install any ROM or try to restore my clockworkmod backup after choosing reboot system is stay stuck on the galaxy s4 screen I did notice that when I reboot into recovery for a 2nd time after its stuck on the gs4 screen then all of a sudden it boots up into the splash screen and powers on
Even installing roms now dont work , its always wanting to stick on the galaxy screen, and when I say stuck I mean really this isnt just a long boot , its no boot.
Is this my fault as far as my process or a real issue.

I'd get the odin file for your phone and run it. Maybe you corrupted something. Just get the odin from the odin thread, run it through, and re-root. If problem persists, reply.

I use TWRP and have had no issues with restoring back ups. The last few days I have been going from death star, wicked and a 9505 rim named bobcatrom.
If you are having problems I definitely would Odin back to stock an start all over again.
Oh yea my backups are on the external sd card.
