Last night I rooted my evo nd I downloaded destroyr mod on it everything was working fine nd still is but I can view any of my photos or listen to any of my music I know itz there because I checked it using the file manager but I cant see or play it thru the phone please can someone help me or tell me whatz wrong thank you .....

Did you wipe everything and flash calkulins format all. Then install your rom?
Yea I did everything right cuz all of itz was working but out of no were this happened

try reflashing.
I already tried reflashing but it still didnt work I even tried a different rom but I still can't view photos or listen to my music

Huh... try renaming the music and photo directories and see if your phone will recognize them then. If no worky, then try connecting via usb and moving the music and photo directories to your computer, deleting them off your phone, then copying them back. If it still doesn't work then try nandroid backing up and wipe everything and flash a Rooted Sprint RUU and see if your phone recognizes them then. If it does then wipe and reflash your roms/kernels/mods. If it still doesn't work then idk... We'll cross that bridge when we get there.

I hope it does because I found THIS thread and it seems like that guy tried everything and it still wouldn't work. He had to take it to a sprint store. Hopefully yours will be corrected, if not take a gander at the link and see if there is any of their suggestions that will work.

ok, i have the samsung epic an called mysef installing a new youtube app but i needed to delete the stock app first. the new download does not work and im stuck. is there a way i can get that app back? also is there a way to flash my phone to how it was brand new, with the apps and all? please help

ok, im new to this so i have no glue what "froyo" is..... a co-worker rooted my phone fo me, and told me not 2 touch anything but i didnt listen... the youtbe app in the market keep coming up "cannot be found".
i got my youtube back by downloading the youtube.apk file from a http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=819470 and tried to install but it wouldnt work... i did a hard reset on my phone and tried the link the first person gave me and still no luck... when i re-retried the first .apk file it went through and downloaded no problem.

Did you reboot your phone in between your flashes and tests?
Wiped cache and dalvik twice, fixed uid mismatches in recovery yet?
Have you deleted any system applications?
I would upload the .apk, but I am downloading 2.59 right now. Once it is done downloading I will upload it. Maybe a corrupted package

You said you already flashed the apk and it didn't do anything.

Well you may want to redownload and flash MikG. Chances are there was just a code screw up that was causing the issue. MikG is a pretty well known ROM. I doubt it would've achieved such success if the contacts apk was constantly FC'ing.
Edit: There also may have been an apk that you downloaded that didnt play nice with the contacts apk. Check into that possibility as well.

It boots and its snappy as fvck! I used the Aug. Gapps
If you look at the link it says cm7 is universal gapps.. Installed now on CM7 bootscreen.. Just started setup screen!
Edit : Just got past the setup screen installed gmail, maps, and youtube..

So far so good only problem a bunch of people will have all backups will not be read on CM7 coming from touchwiz you will have to use astro or what ever and transfer all your backups from emmc to sd card and then use it to restore..

Just use detect...it found mine right away.
Preferences -> backup folder location -> detect -> whole device

If you have the problem that yours won't update then delete it from system/app and then install this as a normal .apk... no need to push to system/app.... you probably can but there is no need to as it installs just fine as a normal app

I need help I am on the cynamgen mtd rom and when I press a channel it looks for my location then it goes to the spinning circle. I have gone back to stock and did a titanium back up and I do a restore once on the cynamagen rom. If I install the above mentioned apk it says can't verify subscription. My sprint football works any suggestions please help would love to watch my NBA games.

I wish I could help you out man but I have the same problem with cm so I just restore a tw mtd rom when my heat are playing... sorry... you can try out the new sprint nba app though it works pretty well!

If your flashed to Cricket, might want to try this. Be sure to right down anything you change just in case it doesn't work.

Just try and update to el30 and if that doesn't help let us know. Maybe you just have a shoddy apk. I'm pretty sure the site just loads the video in the youtube app so its not really two different problems. You might just have a bad flash on your youtube apk.

go into the managae applications, look for the youtube app, select, clear the data. then install flash player, once flashplayer is installed, reboot your phone, and then try it again. see what happens. that happened to me before a couple times, i believe thats what i did.

The youtube app has its own flashplayer within it I believe... I say this because I don't have a flash player installed and my youtube app works just fine... (no flash player because I don't watch any videos that require flash on my phone)
