ok, i have the samsung epic an called mysef installing a new youtube app but i needed to delete the stock app first. the new download does not work and im stuck. is there a way i can get that app back? also is there a way to flash my phone to how it was brand new, with the apps and all? please help

ok, im new to this so i have no glue what "froyo" is..... a co-worker rooted my phone fo me, and told me not 2 touch anything but i didnt listen... the youtbe app in the market keep coming up "cannot be found".
i got my youtube back by downloading the youtube.apk file from a http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=819470 and tried to install but it wouldnt work... i did a hard reset on my phone and tried the link the first person gave me and still no luck... when i re-retried the first .apk file it went through and downloaded no problem.

lol you just removed it from your home screen. Check your app drawer, it's in there.
Search xda evo thread for vending.apk if the person your refering too is rooted and u(or he) deleted it.
Push it to your system/apps folder

I already tried reflashing but it still didnt work I even tried a different rom but I still can't view photos or listen to my music

Huh... try renaming the music and photo directories and see if your phone will recognize them then. If no worky, then try connecting via usb and moving the music and photo directories to your computer, deleting them off your phone, then copying them back. If it still doesn't work then try nandroid backing up and wipe everything and flash a Rooted Sprint RUU and see if your phone recognizes them then. If it does then wipe and reflash your roms/kernels/mods. If it still doesn't work then idk... We'll cross that bridge when we get there.

I hope it does because I found THIS thread and it seems like that guy tried everything and it still wouldn't work. He had to take it to a sprint store. Hopefully yours will be corrected, if not take a gander at the link and see if there is any of their suggestions that will work.

OK, well it really isnt possible to remotly hack a phone unless you installed an app that let somebody do this. So, two questions, what have you installed recently, and how do you know somebody hacked your phone?
Well really nothing and I also get 10 to 15 blocked calls a day I have Mr number blocker installed to block these but somehow some get through to my voicemail. The messages were saved and the whole thread was forwarded. Also pictures get forwarded and phone makes calls by itself

Sounds weird.
Full wipe and/or factory reset just to be safe. Probably not a good idea to use any backups from the infected rom.
LBE Security is an app for free on the market.
It'll prompt you if an untrusted app tries to do anything malicious like that.

check your apps through TB or manage apps and see what is all on your phone, maybe your ex or someoene installed something on your phone to forward texts.. i had a ex try and install a app on my phone (cant remeber its name), this app was suppose to be hidden and only accessable by hiting some numbers on the dial pad and hitting send.. But i noticed right away somethign was weird in my phone (it was acting real slow) and i looked in applications and manage apps and found it and uninstalled it..

If you're on of those people who believe your phone can get hacked I'd suggest lookout security or avg free antivirus to ease your mind.
Yea, I find it hard to believe someone hacked your phone JUST to send pictures to your ex girlfriend. Are you sure you didnt get drunk and send them yourself? Or let your friend borrow the phone?

Are you sure someone didn't sign in to your Sprint picture mail acct online? I think they can forward from there. Also if you always use the same password, they can dial your number and access your vm and forward them etc

Odd when I launched it both my phone and my wife's it asked to update when done it said I could now use on Wifi.

...I had a bit of a phone hiccup today and had to ODIN back to stock EL30.
I decided to run the Sprint TV app to see if it would give me that message about some content being accessible over WiFi. No such luck. However, it automatically checked for an update, downloaded it, and when the app restarted after updating, VIOLA!
So you'll want to ODIN back to stock, update the app, then get root and use Root Explorer/Ti Backup/whatever to copy it to your SD card.
Orrrr...I can just save you the trouble and post the .apk

I started getting this error today on every market download attempt (paid or free)... Running sleeper ROM, but I've been there for a while without seeing this... If I clear app data from Play, will it not know what apps I have? May give that a try...

i am getting the same error....i tried wiping cache thru titanium backup....it worked for the first three downloads (from market). then it started doing it again. i noticed it after i manually updated my prl from 60685 to 60686. it wasnt doing it before.......running AOKP epic mtd build 29......EL30........NYAN COLONED

Same problem
It's gotten really bad on my Galaxy Tab P7500. To get around it, I go to settings>applications and uninstall updates to Google play. Then I can go in and download one app before I get the error again. Real pain in the butt.

Thanks to synisterwolf here on xda... by going to menu/settings/applications and make sure you are under the "all" tab, go to Google framework services and Google play and clear out the data. Stop if necessary then reboot
