Hello All,
I am trying to get Myn’s Warm TwoPointTwo running.
I have followed the directions, but I keep getting hung up on the EVO splash Screen.

Did you do a full wipe + data?
Did you wipe cache and dalvik?
Sometimes it can take awhile on first boot as well.
I did perform the wipes.
I figured it could take while... but it was stuck for about 20 minutes.

So I'm assuming that if you followed the instructions in Myn's OP, then you flashed the updated radios? If you did, good. If not, that's your issue, as the older radios aren't compatible with the newer HTC 15 kernel that comes with Myn's rom.
If you did update the radios, and this is still happening, allow me to ask what recovery you are using to flash the ROM? Clockwork, or Amon Ra? You could always try flashing an alternate kernel, such as one of netarchy's, right after you flash the rom, and before you boot up. I would tend to think that the kernel is not the issue, as it's an HTC kernel, but one may never know. Gotta rule out all possibilities. If you are using clockwork recovery, perhaps try changing to amon ra, and try flashing again.
We are on the same page.
I just changed to the Amon RA recovery.
The steps I have been doing are as follows;
Boot to recovery
Wipe Data/cache
Apply ROM
Apply Combo Update
Reboot
I will try applying a different Kernal again now. I am stuck again at the EVO splash....

That's odd. So you got the same results with using Amon Ra, or you havent tried it with Amon Ra yet? I have seen a few rare cases of people not being able to boot Myns RLS5, but I have no idea what the cause was. Hopefully that's not the case for you.

Booting into Warm Now.
I loaded this Kernel and it worked;
HDMwIn-kernel-aosp_signed
I had tried this also, but it hung up the same.
Tiamat_Evo-v3.3.1
Got weird tiling over the battery Icon and no service... and this kernel will be a no go too.

Wow I can't believe that Kernel booted it. That's an AOSP kernel, and Myn's is a Sense rom, so as you said, you'll get screen tearing and stuff. Try any of the kernels from these guys. I prefer the netarchy kernels, his newest beta 4.3.4 works good. Try the nohavs, no undervolt, nosbc kernel first, see if that will boot you. Here's the link. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=719763
Also, ziggy's kernels always worked good for me on Myn's. Go here. www.ziggy471.com
Hmmm...
I used this Kernel
4.3.4-cfs-havs-more-nosbc
Still a no go Meh!
I can get all thy way into the ROM now.
But I have no service and my interface is scetchy... Buttons not functioning and such.

So weird! You shouldn't be needing to go through all that. I would suggest trying the nohavs version, some phones don't like havs. But as I said, this is unusual. If I were in your current situation, I would do the following (just as trial and error, no real basis here..., but it's what I'd try) I'd downgrade my PRI back to 1.77, and back the radio up to the one that ends in .01.09. (taht works fine on RLS5, ran it for a while, you just can't use the htc 15 kernel on that radio combo). I would then flash Calkulin's Format all.zip, which I will attatch. That will gaurantee 100% a solid wipe, because for some reason the recoveries aren't always 100% thorough with that. After flashing the format all.zip, I would reflash RLS5 (maybe re download, to ensure it's not a bad download?). After flashing the rom, flash a NOhavs kernel, and try to give it one more boot. If that doesn't work, I'm perplexed, and conclude that your phone, for some unbeknownst reason, your Evo hates RLS5. I hope that's not the case, cause it's a great rom. Or hopefully someone suggests something that I've missed. Good luck again.
Cant get it
I was looking forward to trying out this ROM too.
It erks me that I cant get it loaded.

Damn, that's so weird man. I would also be irritated with that, but unfortunately I think i'm out of ideas for ya...You've tried everything. I dont get it. I have indeed heard of a select few not being able to get Myn's to boot up, and I'm not sure why. Sorry I wasn't able to help ya get it booted up.
I was able to boot all the way into the ROM.
I was also able to navigate around the UI for a couple of minutes. Then my Home, Menu, Back and Search buttons stopped responding. I got tactile feed back that the button was pressed, but nothing executed.
I was able to load Fresh, another sense UI.

What version of Myn's Warm TwoPointTwo are you trying to flash? If your radio, PRI and NV are updated to the latest versions, Myn's Warm TwoPointTwo RLS4 and prior will not work properly with the default kernel. Only RLS5 will. If you were indeed trying to flash RLS5, I am assuming you had a bad/corrupted rom zip file. If you haven't given up, I would redo EVERYTHING from scratch. EVERYTHING meaning the following:
1. Copy the contents of your SD card and place them on your PC/Mac or independent external hard drive.
2. Format and re-partition your SD card (not necessary, but hey, why not?)
3. Place only a newly downloaded RLS5 rom zip, amon RA recovery (zip or img), Radio, Wimax, PRI & NV updates on the root of your SD card. The files can be downloaded from the links below:
RLS5 -- http://goo.gl/rViel
amon RA -- http://goo.gl/cgh5e
Radio Update -- http://goo.gl/PmfKu
PRI Update -- http://goo.gl/A3NE3
NV Update -- http://goo.gl/h8JYf
WiMax Update -- http://goo.gl/qFwCt
4. Shut down your EVO and then press & hold the volume down button while pressing the power button. When your EVO starts, you will be directed to the Hboot screen where amon RA zip file will be automatically detected and you will be prompted to install it. Follow the prompts to install. Installation will take less than 10 seconds to complete. Afterwards, reboot into recovery.
5. Go to the WIPE menu and wipe EVERYTHING except the SD card.
6. Go to the FLASH menu and flash RLS 5 but DO NOT REBOOT!
7. Flash the Radio update. You will see a screen with a device & green arrows. Be patient because you will appear to stall. BE PATIENT and DO NOT PULL THE BATTERY!!!!!!!!!!!After some time has passed, you will automatically be reboot into the recovery screen.
8. Flash the PRI. What I stated in #7 applies here, as well
9. Flash the NV. What I stated in #7 applies here, too.
10. Flash the WiMax. #7 applies here also.
11. Reboot. you WILL APPEAR TO HANG at the white HTC screen. Do not be alarmed. Be patient and DO NOT PULL THE BATTERY. After some time has passed, you will then see the Warm TwoPointTwo Splash screen and appear to hang and afterwards, you will see your home screen.
12. After you've signed in with your Google credentials, go to menu-settings-System Updates and then select Update profile.
You should be good to go afterwards. Enjoy!...

Hey all
So i searched and saw people with slightly similar issues, but not the same as mine.
I was hoping anybody could help.
I was having small issues with the rom i was running (CM) and decided to wipe all and go back to a nandroid i had of a previous ROM (Myn 2.2).
I wiped all through recovery and tried to load the Nandroid. It got stuck at the white HTC Evo 4g load screen.
I pulled battery. Went into recovery. Reloaded a seperate Nandroid backup (one that i had restored before with no issues) and had the same issue.
I then went back into recovery, wiped all, and did a fresh install of the Myn rom zip on my SD card (one that i had loaded before and knew was okay). Once again...stuck at the white loading screen.
So here i am. Recovery works, but i absolutely cannot get any ROM's or Nandroid backups to work after restoring/installing. Constantly stuck at the white screen.
Any ideas? I've flashed my phone a million times and this is the first time this is happening.
Thanks in advance everyone.
okay, quick follow up.
I reflashed CM6 and am able to load ONLY CM.
Seems really weird to me. Any ideas why I am unable to get back to other ROMs? I did recently update to the most recent Radio...that's the only physical change to my phone that i made that i can think of.
Thanks again. At least i have a working phone.
I had this issue, RLS4 is based on the 3.30 release. I had to downgrade my NV, PRI, Radio and WiMax to get it running.
You can grab all of these here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=715485
EDIT: Make sure you flash one zip at a time here. I'm not certain if it's okay to do them all at the same time, but I generally hear that can cause issues. It'll ask you to reboot after each one. If you use Amon RA, it'll just reboot into recovery again, not sure about Clockwork.
I was also surprised that my nandroid backups of Myn's from before I flashed 3.70 software update didn't work/revert my software back to 3.30.

I downloaded these ones and flashed them in this order. Each time I'd try to install the ROM after flashing. I didn't successfully flash until after the NV. If I was a good troubleshooter, I would've tried to narrow it down here. Sorry, I'm not sure if it's necessary to downgrade one or all.
EVO_WiMAX_26023_R01
EVO_Radio_2.15.00.09.01
EVO_PRI_1.77_003
EVO_NV_1.77_003
I didn't mess with HBOOT, I was able to install the ROM after I flashed the NV.
I have a same problem
stuck on the white screen, triyed to run the pc36img.zip and its says no image
then I went to recovery it only allows me to run a zip file...What can run as zip
file to get this to load my rom and I dot have nanroid either...
Any help/advise is apprciated!!
I'm coming from CM 6.1.2 and have done everything correctly to a freaking T. Has anyone had any problems getting stuck at the Splash screen and getting passed it? I can flash any other Sense ROM just fine but Myn's always gets hung at the Splash screen no matter what radios, kernels, PRIs, etc... Getting frustrated. I spent like six hours yesterday trying to get it to boot.
What recovery are you using? and do you have the newest update from Sprint (radio, prl)
Newest RA... I have every new radio, PRI, NV, Wimax...
Did you wipe everything more than once before flashing the Rom?
I wiped everything via Amon's built in options and Calk's format all .zip.
Did you have any problems updating with Calk's format all .zip?
As long as I'm flashing something other that RLS5 it works great.
Re- download Myn's Rom again. I know it sounds crazy but the download must be corrupted.
Done that, too... It flashed fine on my friends newly rooted EVO. I know that download wasn't bad because we used the same one. Thinking about running an RUU and starting over.
The best one will be the Sprint lover ROM as pcm36img.
I'd have to use that since I run Linux... don't know of an RUU that works on Ubuntu.
okay. report back if it work for you.
DO you know of a root method I won't need to hook my phone up to my computer with? I kinda don't have my cable with me at the office.
rom is already rooted.you can download it to you're phone, weather you are on wifi or 3g/4g.
And are you rooted?
No... if I run a RUU I won't be rooted anymore.
Nope! You will not loose root!.try it out, thank me later
I don't see what harm it could cause... I'm DLing the one you posted in that other thread.
Report back.
Make sure that the file is a pcm36 img.zip and that its in you're sd card.

My phone recognizes it and starts to load it then stops... is there another one?
HTC Evo Hardware 003
Sprint Labeled Extended Battery
Rooted using Unrevoked
Used Myn RLS 4 & 5 flawlessly.
Switch to MIUI about a month ago.
No overclocking was used for MIUI or RLS 5. RLS 4 I purchased it for support only and removed it after a few days.
Had to flash Sav v1.6 to keep the reboots to a minimum of 1.5-3 days. Once it started the first reboot I would have to pull the battery wait a few minutes.
Saved a Nandroid (since has been removed from sdcard) after the reboots started and went back to the Myn RLS 5, bootloops persisted there also.
Back to MIUI after a few over there thought it was kernel issues (which seemed to alleviate some of the bootloop)
Today after my 4th battery pull from bootloop issues I flashed Myn Z. Bootloops persisted.
At one point I pulled the sdcard, formatted it and myn booted up just fine. Stayed up until I rebooted to put the sdcard back in with the ROM, recovery, and PC36IMG's back in the sdcard.
With sdcard out of not I get bootloops now.
Bootloops again.
Installing clarification:
Used Caulkins Format All
Have RA v2.3
Wiped factory reset twice, wiped cache and davlik twice
With MIUI the wifi was set to never.
I am seriously at a loss here. Has anyone else found a solution to this issue? If I unroot, will that bring me back to stock everything so I can try this process over from the beginning? Will it carry over whatever might be an issue with me and just have a stock ROM that bootloops? If you need more information I can attempt to recall it, or pull it from the phone. Keep in mind I cant keep a ROM running for more than 5-15 seconds before bootloops so if it is something from there we might be out of luck.
Thank you kindly in advance.
I would suggest backing the rom up, then go a clean install, wipe everything, that tends to clear bootlooping. Also [I don't use] but on MIUI, you have to set your wifi sleep policy to never, or you will get bootloops.

Bootloops before it gets to Warm Z boot animation. 6 times.
used SBC-net-4.2.2-more-havs-v7
Out of curiousity, why are you flashing a previous rom before warm z? And you would have to flash the kernel after the rom because the rom will over write the kernel.

Wait... got it going.
How long have you been letting it sit? Myn's roms have tended to take a few minutes to boot up...8 minutes for me the one time I had to install to update my PRL, and I thought I was bootlooping.
Bootloop.

Not the case but good question. It doesnt "sit". It actually goes back to the white HTC EVO 4G boot screen. Vibrates each time it does that...
To start off, I had never rooted, or flashed anything until sunday, when root was finally made available to GB users with the locked bootloader.... That being said... I DO know how to read, and have done a lot of it over the past few weeks, while waiting for root. So.....
I had no problem with getting s-off, and root of my evo, followed the simple directions (thanks to the devs for making it so simple) and voila, ROOT!!
Next... I knew I wanted to try the synergy+god mode rom, Installed that, and got stuck at the boot screen for over an hour, so that was a no go (from more reading I see this could be due to only having a 2gb sd card?) Next I tried the sprintlovers all in one.... Kept getting errors on that, and it just would not load, *I had no problem installing the standalone version tho* Checked that out, and decided to try this rom [KingsROM][Alliance RLS-3] [ODEXED] [NETFLIX]SENSE 2.1+ 3.0 HybriD 3D " The BREED "
Have been using since sunday night, and I like it, its quite smooth, way faster than stock, and has some really nice visual effects.... however.... battery life has been deplorable! I was under the impression it was supposed to get better after 3 or 4 charge cycles, but I have charged 5 times now, and no better... I used to get a good 20 hours out of a charge with the stock rom, and I'm gettin about 6-7 outta this rom, with the same usage....
So...I guess my questions are, What should I expect in terms of battery life? Should I wait a little longer for the battery to settle down, or move on to a new rom? If move on... any idea what I may have done wrong with the other 2 roms mentioned, or recommendations to a similar rom?

Ok now you said you done some reading which is great. Now there are tools out there that will wipe you system clean prior to flashing new roms. I do this when I want to start fresh Caulkins format all is a great one to use. Try doing that next time you want to load up a rom. First you flash that then you flash the rom of your choice.
Now battery life. IMHO if you want to get better battery life I would try an AOSP rom - preferably Decks 1.2.1 with a Tiamat sbc kernel.... Give it a shot
You CAN get great battery life with the ROM you have now.
The best I got on Sense ROMs was with NetArchy Kernels, preferably SBC HAVS More
I attached the one I liked the best. Remember, this is for Sense ROMS.
Edit!!
File Removed 'casue I'm not smart....

SDCard size doesn't matter when using Synergy, as it nolonger requires an SD-EXT partition to function. I will say this however, I have flashed Synergy on multiple EVO's and each time I would get stuck at the boot screen(the animated Synergy Rom logo). I was however able to get every device to boot past this screen, and here is what I did.
1. Prior to flashing the ROM All this is done in the Recovery (Wipe Cache, Wipe Dalvik-Cache, Wipe Data, Wipe Boot, Wipe System, Perform Factory Reset Data Reset, <--- Do all this 2-3 times, Then I would flash Calkulin's format all script Twice.
2. Flash Synergy Rom
3. Let the phone sit at the animated boot screen for 10 minutes
4. Perform a Battery Pull
5. Boot the phone back up normally (don't go to bootloader or recovery)
6. Rom boots, and you can enjoy Synergized goodness.
I don't know why but on some phones Synergy won't make it past the initial bootscreen no matter how long you let it sit, without a battery pull, however I do highly advise giving it a minimum of 10 minutes, just to make sure that it had time to properly load whatever it was loading on initial boot.

Place the file directly on your SD Card, not in a folder, just Right there on the SD Card.
Power the phone off, then Power the phone on, while holding Volume Down.
When prompted press Volume Up to apply the Update. This will install AmonRa. I highly recommend this recovery over clockwordmod.
There is also TWRP (TeamWin Recovery ProjecT) however I have had nothing but problems using TWRP and flashing Sense 2.1+3.0 and Sense 3.0 Roms that have Godmode. So I have stayed with Ra Recovery.

Yes, but if I were you, flash Amon Ra, make a Nandroid backup of your stock setup and forget CWM exists

I 100% agree with this statement. CWM has caused nothing but headaches. On an unrelated sidenote and because it doesn't deserve its own thread. HipKat does the 2.10 HBoot support fastboot commands? Long ago I downgraded my HBoot to 0.76 because nothing at the time supported Fastboot other than 0.76.

So isnt cwm 3 REQUIRED to install the new cm7? Just curious cuz I have heard a lot of good things about it, and may want to give it a shot sometime....

Might wanna delete the file tho, so other people that dont know how to read, dont flash the wrong kernal....

Glad to hear it. Synergy is a great Rom, however I found some things about it that just irked me. Small Qirks. Like to Answer a call, or turn off the alarm, I had to drag the icon to the circle. Well let me tell you what. When your alarm wakes you up after 4 hours of sleep, and your grumpy and groggy as hell. Dragging a small icon into a circle to turn off the GD alarm clock, or answer a call from someone who shouldnt be calling at 5am in the first place...... either way those were the only 2 reasons i went back to CM7.
ya, it seems pretty smooth so far, but damn... b4 i flashed it, I had 65% batt left, after synergy loaded(which only took just under 10 min btw) it said 19%....
It seems nice and all, but not as graphically awe inspiring as the kings alliance, so unless batt life is substantially better, I'll prolly go back to the kings.... I still havent given the golden monkey kernel a fair shot....
Thats just my 1st impression anyway.... thanks again!

You cannot base battery life off of your first flash, you need to give the ROM 48-72 hours to settle into the device. Running 100% Stock Synergy I was able to average 20-22 hours of average use out of my device, and 30-32 hours of minimal use, and 10 hours of heavy use.
I recently just got a new evo replacement with HBoot 2.16.001. and I have rooted it with revolutionary. I thoroughly wipe 3 times before flashing roms, and every rom i try freezes up after it loads up. I unrooted and rerooted 3 times already and dont know what to do. Any help will be appreciated.
Please???
1, stop unrooting. What recovery are you using? If you're still using CWM, get Amon Ra form the Development section and use that instead. If you have ROM Manager, don't use that to flash ROMs. It's really a pretty useless app.
With Amon Ra, go to Wipe and wipe everything except SDCard: and Battery Stats, if you're not fully charged.
New ROMs need a lot of space, so look up the guide for partitioning, also in the Dev section and partition your card before you flash the ROM. Make sure the ROM you flash has DT A2SD baked in, or else, get that file and flash it in the same session you flash your ROM in.
And remember, it takes upwards of 10 minutes for some ROMs to boot up the first time.

I used R.A. with my first evo and never had any issues. Its just this new replacement evo that giving me the blues. I'm oldschool when it comes to flashing. I wipe everything except sdcard at least 3 times in R.A. Recovery. No matter what rom i flash, it will boot up but after about 30 seconds to a minute, it will freeze and i am forced to battery pull.
Have you tried just letting it sit and see what happens??
I know MIUI, older versions did that, but if I just let it sit, once for 20 minutes, it worked itself out, and that was always on the first boot up or two.

i did try that, and most of the time, especially with CM7 it would either sit there or reboot until i eventually just have to do a battery pull
I also just got two brand new EVOs. One I rooted no problem, the other is impossible to do. Using Revolutionary, I kept getting a partition write error no matter what I have tried. I am running out of idea.

The wierd part is that with the stock rom while rooted its ok. But as soon as i flash anything else whether it be aosp or sense, it will lock up on me shortly after it fully loads up. I have been flashing roms since the evo came out, and now that i have a new one, its giving me the blues

Have you tried reloading the RUU exe again and starting from scratch?
