Yes. Otherwise everytime you go into bootloader, your phone will try to flash it.

thanks. what can't i delete from the sd card? can i delete things after i have installed them from ROM manager? i just overclocked my cpu, so can i now delete the "update.zip" installation file from the sd card? Also, all the other files i now have on there from the downgrade/root/S-OFF. which files do i need to keep on there?
You don't need to keep any of the rooting files on the sd card, or any flashable zips.
Although it is recommended to save the part*backup files to your computer at least.

Assuming you're saving your backups to your external sd card, there will be a folder there called clockworkmod. go in there and then backup. Each folder there is a separate nandroid, just delete the folders of the ones you don't want.

You can use root explorer and find the folder clockwork mod inside sd card or external sd card folder. It should be under the backup folder inside clockwork folder. Delete From there.
In short
Root explorer > sd card/external sd card> clockworkmod> backup. Delete from there.

[Q] Why am I not able to flash Slim Bean?

Hello,
I tried searching but didn't see the thread I was looking for. If this came up before then I apologize in advance for asking again. Please just direct me to thread and I'll be grateful.
I rooted my Samsung Galaxy S3 Tmobile and installed Clockworkmod and installed the recovery and made a backup. I downloaded the Slim Bean rom and gapps and when I booted into recovery and wiped everything and tried to install the file, I wasn't able to. I copied the folder exactly how I downloaded it but when I tried to install it there was nothing to install; it wasn't a zip. Am I suppose to make it into a zip folder first then copy it to the sd card?
If someone can explain to me what I did wrong I would be appreciate it.
Thanks
Check the md5. Maybe it was a corrupted/incomplete download?

Are you copying it onto an actual SD card or the internal SD?
If you're copying it onto the internal then u might be wiping it.
Another option would be to use adb to push the rom zip onto your internal sd card after wiping it.
Code:
adb push /path/to/rom \sdcard

I put it on the actual SD but when that didn't work I tried on the internal. When that didn't work, I downloaded a rom from clockworkmod to see if that would work then once it was installing it failed and said something about google.com apps not working or something to that affect. I'm on a Macbook, not running Windows not sure how to push that through dab.
I'll try again tomorrow to make a backup again then try wiping everything and doing it over. I'll try a new download and see if that helps. Thanks for the suggestions.

(SOLVED) Sd card fix on kitkat not sticking after reboot

I'm on ne6 rom and did the platform.xml edit. I can delete and copy files fine in es file explorer or stock file manager. But after I reboot all the files that I thought I deleted from my external sd card are still there. And the files I copied to my card are not. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks.
Solution- replace or format card
