it doesnt matter if it has stock apps or not for warranty. I went to SG Samsung service centre last week as i accidently deleted some stock apps which coursed my TAB regularly FC. Samsung checked my rom version only then flashed latest ROM for me.

If its a SGP tab most will have either jj1 or jj2 so should be no problem flashing either one to stock. I'm having the earlier jj1 stock rom before flasing a custom rom.
there is nothing special about this rom i just remove the stock apps from singtel m1 and starhub tat all

in your opinion, if someone bought an TAB from 3rd Party reseller rather than M1, Singtel, Starhub, i.e the TAB does not Teleco Apps, so it does not have warranty or it will be blacklisted if sending to customer service?

3rd party as in?
the ah beng shop?
if u mean the ah beng shop
Sa*sung customer service officer can still check with the CSC, in asia galaxy tab there is this CSC the CSC still have Singtel M1 and Starhub in it
the only CSC without Singtel M1 n Starhub stocks is the XSP(can't really remember the code) which is "Default" from sa*sung itself
reguarding ur question to blacklist and no warranty various to sitituation,
is really up to the Customer service officer to check or not the check the galaxy tab throughtly
that why i say "Do not try ur luck"

I dont know what is Ah beng shot. courts, carrefour, best, etc all selling TAB. Do those TAB have teleco Apps? In your logic, those without Teleco Apps TAB will have no Warranty. So people buying from Courts, Carrefour etc shall have no Warranty, is it?
In your last post, your never mentioned about CSC, now you start to talk about CSC. Can you tell me, will those TABs with right CSC but without Teleco Apps lose warranty?
what is the best radio (modem.bin) for SG? JJ2? thanks.

i remove the stock apps from Teleco CSC as i have already mention when i post the ROM for download
"IF AND ONLY IF" they change it to any of the Teleco CSC to check and found out that there is not stock apps, ur done for~~~
they can switch the CSC from the phone itself just by keying in *#272*IMEI#
FYI
if u don't understand CSC, here is how it works
CSC contain stock apps for all asia Teleco and in the CSC itself have many CSC code
Each CSC code represent each Teleco
when the Specific CSC code is loaded it will bring for the Selected Teleco stock apps and Teleco related stuffs
and to actually remove the Stock apps from the Teleco there is 2 way
1. edit the CSC
2. Root and download apps to remove the Teleco Stock apps
So it will revert to and conclude to that u have a edited CSC or Root Galaxy tab which means that ur warranty is VOID
so now is it more clear?

in your earlier post, you never mention "IF AND ONLY IF" they change it to any of the Teleco CSC to check and found out that there is not stock apps, your warranty will be void.
You just imply if flash this ROM and send to customer service, you may lose your warranty.

as changing imei in this country is ilegal mate dont think you,ll get any answers on that question mate think its against forum rules to even talk about it
It's illegal in many countries, for good reason too. OP has no need to change their IMEI just because they got their device in another country. If their network uses the frequencies the phone uses, it will work.

This is illegal and no need for it, if u want to use ur phone in another country just flash the International unlocked stock rom or ur phone country stock rom, thayeof course if ur phone hardware supports it...

Not in every country. For example in Turkey you have to register your imei(for a fee of course) to work within the country. Imei's of phones sold in the country are registered by importer.
Hello, so recently I got the A3 and noticed it's from Italy (language of first boot, manuals etc), however I'm in Greece... Normally this shouldn't affect Anything (and plus it's nice that Italy got Feb 2018's patches while Greece is still on Jan 2018's) however there is one app that installed its Italian variant that wouldn't work in Greece so I had to download the app from the play store (Samsung members) and some regional settings that defaulted to Italy. Sim works fine and stuff but I'm wondering if this will affect something... Anyway the model is SM-A320FL and it's unlocked... Can I flash Greece's firmware on it? It currently has ITV firmware... Also, which variant of the Greek firmware is suitable for an unlocked phone (The EUR one I imagine)
Also, will this void the warranty
UPDATE: I flashed the greek firmware, however after being disappointed that a lot of features, mainly in the camera app were absent, I decided to reflash italy's firmware and lo' and behold all my regional settings problems were fixed! Turns out that the Sim card fixed everything... I didn't have a Sim at the time of first getting this phone so it was sort of half Italian half Greek... Moral of the story... If you set up a phone from a foreign country, for the love of God do it with your sim card in the phone! For some reason Samsung pay is in italian but that's ok I'm too young to use Samsung pay, much less a credit/debit card anyway...

I bought my wife a new A5 (2017) from my carrier last year. The model is SM-A520F/DS. The problem is that the phone came with UAE firmware but I live in Australia. I have searched everywhere but there is no SM-A520F/DS firmware for Australia. When the phone updates it is always UAE.
Normally this wouldn't be a problem but there is no VoLTE or WiFi Calling options because the existing firmware does not support Optus Australia.
Is it possible to flash a stock SM-A520F Australia XSA firmware even though it is a SM-A520F/DS? Will it trip knox or void the warranty or more importantly is it safe to do without bricking the phone.
I rang Samsung Support and was told that because the phone had UAE firmware I could not flash the Australian XSA firmware. Seems strange. Is that correct?
Anyone?

I had researched and it suggested that it would be fine as the as the SM-A520F was an international version with the same hardware on all SM-A520F phones that it should be fine to flash the Australian XSA firmware, however Samsung Support told me that it would not work and Samsung Service refused to do it as it would void my warranty.
My wife has now decided (it's her phone) that she doesn't want to void her warranty so isn't interested in going any further.
Thanks anyway.

Fair enough, mate. Each version is essentially the same anyway. Not sure that maybe OTA security updates won't come through as your localel will be different to the CSC on the phone. Not sure about this though.
All the best
I heard similar things with PC bios - so it seems possible to me (unfortunately)
I am using A505F/DS in Saudi Arabia which is still under Samsung Warranty for next 24months
I would like to change my CSC to INDIA to get better support for updates and get them earliest etc.
Questions
1- Changing my CSC from Saudi Arabia void my warranty and Trip the KNOX?
2-Will it creat any problem in using the phone regards to carrier signals and other services provided (LTE VOLTE etc) in the area? I am using an unlocked version of the phone.
3-What are the maximum number of times I can change my CSC, In case if I want to return back to the original CSC of Saudi Arabia I can be done later on?
4-If changing CSC the AP will also be changed or not. they are interlinked to each other?

of course not if you use official samsung firmware

not always but I don't think it will make any problem for you

there's no limitation for this , you can change as much as you want
4-If changing CSC the AP will also be changed or not. they are interlinked to each other?
yes it will be changed since the firmware has 4 files including AP

2- Download Odin and Install samsung usb drivers on your computer
3- Make sure you remove your sim cards before flashing and then restart your device and enter the Download Mode
3- Open Odin and then put the 4 files from firmware which you have downloaded from Sammobile to their places in AP,BL ,CP, CSC (choose the one without Home word)
4- Don't change any setting or configuration in Odin and then after assiging the 4 files , press Start and then everything will be okay after it finishes it will reboot the device by it own , just wait till it finishes and happy flashing

Yes you need to create a backup in your pc and then factory reset your phone before flashing a new firmware.

Hey guys, I recently purchased a secondhand Z Fold 3 on a buy and sell website. I checked everything, IMEI and all (which was clean). I even got them to send me a video of the phone, and everything looked perfect. Even the flip case and the stylus was included. The deal was good but definitely not too good to be true.
Even after they sent it out to me, everything worked perfectly. Until I factory reset it a few minutes after getting it. After setting up the phone as normal, this is what I got after unlocking it.
Factory resetting from recover mode just takes me back here. I have no idea what to do, I was not careless, I made sure everything was ok, I'm so lost because I'm pretty good with tech but this is such a good scam and I'm just in shock. I just really cannot be losing money like this, especially when everything just seems to be getting harder everyday.
Is there anything I can do about it, even try and repair it if I can prove I bought it? Or even return it to Samsung and get some compensation? Any help is much appreciated, even if you dm if you can't say it here thanks everybody!
Images and them using it before sending it to me:

I'm located in the EU, I've been told I can flash a new ROM using just a PC without accessing the phone, is this possible?
Tough luck man.
- Firstly I would contact the seller for a refund, otherwise threatning that I will call the police.
- The fair thing to do would be to report it to the authorities but depending on where you live, this might be a good or bad ideea. (for example in Romania where I live, I once took a lost backpack to the police station and they were mad I gave them paperwork to do, literally asking me why I did I not take it or dump it in a ditch, which they probably did after I left)
- Otherwise I would try to flash a new rom on it or something depending on what is possible on the fold 3
good luck.
Seems like a money making scam, and I would factory flash the stock firmware for your device which should sort any issues out with it via odin. Wouldn't have thought it would take more than that to be honest ?
Once the IMIE has been flagged as stolen, no amount of flashing will get you back to a usable device because no carrier will activate it.
IMEI is clean, this looks KNOX locked to me.

Do you think I could flash stock firmware?
I tried flashing stock firmware but I had no idea which country to get, I only had the model number?
I tried Malaysia and EUA, both gave me fails on Odin. Now I think it’s EUB, will try that later when I’m home.
Maybe I’m using Odin wrong, I initially only inserted the BL file into Odin, and then all of them (BL, AP, CP and CSC). I didn’t know which CSC file to use, there’s 2 (CSC and CSC HOME I think?)
Tried this with both Malaysia and EUA, but both gave me OdinFAIL!(Auth)
What am I doing wrong? Any help would be much appreciated!

Just because it's clear on Public Databases does not mean it's not clear internally. I used to work for a cellular company (IT in Corporate, not a retail store) and those public databases are NOT refreshed too often and I would not say it's 100% not blacklisted.

Good point, but the quickest way to get BL is scam a carrier, this looks like another victim of trade and switch fraud. If this keeps happening you can bet (Samsung) will no longer offer the trade discount up front requiring paying the FULL PRICE at time of purchase and then refunding the discount once trade ins are received and verified.
Honestly, at this point, you are just pretty much stuck with a WiFi Tablet. If you cannot get resolution with the seller (which may not be worth the time and effort), then you will just have to chalk it up to Lessons Learned and move on.
I HATE HATE HATE to hear about people getting scammed, but there really isn't much that can be done.
