So I updated my epic and now z4 root wont work on my 2.2..is it just me?

2.2.1 killed the z4root exploit. You need to use the oneclickroot.
Oneclickroot
I updated to 2.2 and oneclickroot works fine. I flashed the Epic Experience Rom and everything works.
But is epic experience EB13 based?

It might be but I did the oneclick root after using odin and the sprint release of 2.2. It worked fine. Then I did the Epic Experience a day later.
I went to CWM3 and tried to flash Epic Experience. No dice. Went with SyndicateROM Frozen instead and it works great!

It us up and downloadable direct from Samsung (find links in the development threds).
I haven't seen if it was one-click-rootable.
If not, don't flash it. Wait for a pre-rooted repack.

I havnt tried it but I was looking in the dev section and many confirmed the one click root 2.5.5 works.

Yes, I can confirm it is working.
CWM too?

Yes. There weren't major changes since dk28 to break the one-click or cwm. I'm guessing z4root is still a no go since eb13 is still 2.2.1.
One Click Root 2.5.5 is working great. Phone rooted in less than 2 minutes
Will the Samsung EB13 Flashing tool Remove CW3 / EXT4 / and Custom Roms? Or are you better off running ODIN to get back to stock?
Thank you!
It's just like Odin but it holds your hand and does everything automatically. Wipes everything and does a fresh install I believe. I was rooted with cwm 3 and running bonsai 2.01. The sammy utility put me on stock eb13.
Using the samsung tool will leave your phone like you just turned it on for the first time out of the box.

I'm not rooted, but shootme used to work. I just tried using it for the first time since eb13 update, and it won't work for me anymore. Any ideas why? Also I remember that in DK28 there was the ability to take a screenshot by the back+home key combo, does that stillwork in eb13?

I had that same issue. I had to uninstall and then reinstall shootme to get it to work again.

Un/Reinstalling didnt work. Says to "make sure i have ***Rooted*** access" This stinks cause it worked before eb13 and ive never rooted.

I have an Epic Touch 4G, and I rooted it and then flashed the Midnight Rom as I had a lot of luck with it on my old Epic 4g, but now I cannot get visual voicemail to work at all. How can I get back to stock everything, rom and kernel?

Flash this in Odin.
Go to development there's thread by acs that guides you to going back to stock using Odin.

Just got my Epic touch. Came from Evo3d. Love the phone so far but I'm ready to root. Simple question. Should I root while I'm on EG30 or do this OTA update that keeps popping up every 2 minutes, then root? Thanks in advance!

Root before doing any updates, you can thank me later, happy flashing
I just switched from the Evo 3D a few weeks ago myself, currently just running a stock rooted EL29
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1433101
Just use the pre-rooted EL29 if you want a stock rooted. There is one that wipes data and one that saves your data. Then if you want to load custom ROM's use this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342728
And use option C to install a kernel + CWM
Sweet thanks guys. Really appreciate it
