First, make a nandroid backup. Then, back-up all your apps/data using titanium backup and just wipe everything (data, cache, etc..) and reflash the rom. if 4g works, restore all your apps and data and you should be good to go. if not, then try flashing another rom. i'd recommend mikfroyo, fresh, or myns if you want a sense rom, and cyanogen 7 wimax if you want an AOSP rom. if your 4g STILL isn't working after that, then make sure your area actually has 4g coverage (use a friends phone or something, just because the sprint site says your city has 4g doesn't mean the area you're in definitely has it). if that doesn't work, then you have a problem.
Use Mikfroyo 4.5 and roll back to radio 1.77 and get sbc 131. This is the best combo I have used so far. Battery life and performance is awesome. I have hardware version 002.

You're in a 4G area right? You've managed to completely miss the question and answer section, twice, so I have to wonder about how aware you are of your location.

Dope goes well with Baked Snacks.
k.. great! It's really a personal choice. You try some and pick what you like. I would try Fresh just as a starting point. My personal right now is Frost (Fresh with a good amount of AOSP) & Netarchy's 4.1.9.1 CFS kernel.
Also, you may get more replies in the Q & A forum/search.

Look at the EVO Shift Rosie from a froyo ruu. Compare it with a froyo EVO ruu (3.70 preferably). Give that a shot. I'll be trying to do the same and bring landscape to the Classic ROM.

The only Evo Shift Rosie.apk I could find was an odexed Froyo 2.2 (1.17.???.?). For the Evo4G, I had to pull the deodexed Gingerbread 2.3 (4.53.651). This is all I have for the E4G at the moment. They're in the attachment.

I switch back and forth between Calk's and Starburst each time there is a new release. I don't theme and I don't even know how to test a quadrant. BUT, for normal everyday use, battery life, and smoothness of operation; I can't tell a difference between the two.
What is a distinctive like or dislike about either ROM that makes you prefer it over the other?
Switching back and forth is such a pain though when you have to redo all your widgets, shortcuts, reinstall all the apps, etc. I'm sticking with Calk's rom unless Starburst really does something to set itself apart. Right now I can barely tell the difference besides the theming...which doesn't matter that much to me since I love the ICS theme.

Nandroids are your friends. As well as TB.
This morning I odin'ed back to complete stock then ran the new script found in the Dev forum to root a stock E4GT w/o odin or cwm. Works like a charm. Leaves the phone/kernel completely stock but w/ root to be able to run your fav root aps.

So I loaded this on my phone. Works wonderfuly. Much better then 08.08 was about the same as 07.07. One thing I noticed, and I bet its placebo but, my screen is responding better. No more lag. Plus the 4 errors I normally get on boot from logcat are gone! I'm kinda overly excited but I can't believe they are gone. I have been bug hunting them for weeks now. Even cm was stumped.

Works fine in Milwaukee. Coming from 7.07, signal is about the same, -74to -85. Will road test it tomorrow and see. Noticed GPS locked in 5 seconds to 3 meters, though I don't know if the radio has anything to do with that.
