Hey which Rom?

Hey guys I wondering which Rom is the best Rom to run on my evo ...I'm running Vaelpak 3.0 remastered and I can't use my 4g for some reason ....my rsa keys are still here...and another question how can I unlock my nand...?????

First, make a nandroid backup. Then, back-up all your apps/data using titanium backup and just wipe everything (data, cache, etc..) and reflash the rom. if 4g works, restore all your apps and data and you should be good to go. if not, then try flashing another rom. i'd recommend mikfroyo, fresh, or myns if you want a sense rom, and cyanogen 7 wimax if you want an AOSP rom. if your 4g STILL isn't working after that, then make sure your area actually has 4g coverage (use a friends phone or something, just because the sprint site says your city has 4g doesn't mean the area you're in definitely has it). if that doesn't work, then you have a problem.

Use Mikfroyo 4.5 and roll back to radio 1.77 and get sbc 131. This is the best combo I have used so far. Battery life and performance is awesome. I have hardware version 002.

yes, 4g (it's a sense base rom) works but i have been switching between several kernels lately so I don't know about battery life yet

Which Rom
I really like Miui latest great rom really fast and freaks out my friends with there iphone.....wish it had 4g tho

I did both ...mikfronyo and kings ultra .....wow thanks for the help ....it really help out ...and I got my 4g working ....

Nothing beats calk on ics theme right now. Going to try the revenge kernel ina few days. So far six hours of str8 use on calk and that is very heavy use.

I'm on it now, and wow. I don't notice a difference in any speed or anything, but I love the theme.

I had gps issues with Calkulin's rom, it's a kool rom though, but i still think Starburst is better, i got better battery life with starburst then Calkulin, but definitely major props to both devs

Which version of starburst, though?

Very nice rom.

Both are great. I'm a Starburst lover, but I am currently sporting calks rom.

I switch back and forth between Calk's and Starburst each time there is a new release. I don't theme and I don't even know how to test a quadrant. BUT, for normal everyday use, battery life, and smoothness of operation; I can't tell a difference between the two.
What is a distinctive like or dislike about either ROM that makes you prefer it over the other?

Switching back and forth is such a pain though when you have to redo all your widgets, shortcuts, reinstall all the apps, etc. I'm sticking with Calk's rom unless Starburst really does something to set itself apart. Right now I can barely tell the difference besides the theming...which doesn't matter that much to me since I love the ICS theme.

Nandroids are your friends. As well as TB.
This morning I odin'ed back to complete stock then ran the new script found in the Dev forum to root a stock E4GT w/o odin or cwm. Works like a charm. Leaves the phone/kernel completely stock but w/ root to be able to run your fav root aps.

I always nandroid backup before installing a new rom, but I didn't know you could use it to reinstall your apps/widgets/etc once you have the new rom installed.
I've been using TB to reinstall all of my apps, contacts, and even remembered wifi networks. I love it, but can it does widgets and shortcuts too?

i just flashed this and i noticed that the 4g icon toggle is unthemed with the others in the drop down menu, idk if thats bc theres no 4g toggle from the original sgs2, im just throwin it out there. ill post a pic of it later if you dont know what im talking about being that im in a bit of a rush right now. but great work! cant wait for senz 3

This is one of my favorite things about the new EL13 ROMs

I like the idea of this theme, but I don't think there's enough changes that makes it stand out from any of the others floating around. Good job though.

fyi, not sure if anyone has run into this. I ran into FCs when attempting to use my bluetooth wireless headset after flashing this theme. Tried it on Caulkin's 2.5.1 ROM. Audio would not pass from the phone to my bluetooth headset and I would get FCs when trying to repair the devices. Back on stock Caulkin's and all is working ok.

I don't think it would look bad. Touchpro had a screenie of one of his old ics roms and he was running tablet mode and it looked sick! I know that this isn't tablet mode this is a rom but still looks sick

So is this Rom being worked on? I can't wait to try it out.

Someone can use my my port guide, in my signature, to try it out. Just find a HTC device that has the ROM. The mytouch 4g has it

Does it take a lot of skill? I can't even USB mount my phone to my computer not to mention going to the field and work....

Serious Tester Needed

So as the title states I need 1 serious tester that will actually report back with issues or compliments to either ptmr3 or myself and not take the rom for an early release and run away. PM me or post here with your experience in the android community. I don't want to get posts about "I know how to root and install a custom rom". I want replies about if you have actually tested before for other teams or if you developed before etc. Thanks guys! Gee, no replies!! I'd be glad to test...love flashing my phone and have back-ups in the event of problems. I don't run a bunch of applications so my results may be limited, but I won't post the ROM or scurry away never to be heard from again. Just PM me the download link and any instructions.

NO, Thank you! You guys are the ones who are hard at work so I can have 15 toggles and a 4-way reboot... LOL But really, thanks for your teams hard work and I know it will get better... This is my first time running any "Deviant" roms so I am excited to see what's to come!

I never tested for anyone but I have completed my own kernels. And im a power user when it comes to android. With knowledge on library files kernel modules of course Decompiling and recompiled. Compiling android from source. I can even make a device tree!
